Dude you killed it. As someone who takes the subway all the time this was so immersive and played off my worst nightmares. Haven't been this spooked in a while. The use of subway ads as tutorials was cool- Not sure if you are aware but there are protesters in New York City right now who are using subway ads to protest. Also loved the voice at the end speaking to the player, did you use the fitnessgram pacer test voice? IF so you really know how to play off my trauma LOL

The illusion of safety provided by the presence of a weapon makes this hit all the harder; we need horror to return to this state. The fear induced by having a weapon with which to fight back, and not knowing when or against who it will be used is STRONG.

When i was a kid playing Farcry 2 where the weapon could randomly jam/malfunction was one of the first fearful moment you could have in the game that is not even a horror. But sadly game nowdays aimed to make player feel rewarded than frustrated/fearful. But well most of gamers do gaming because they want to have fun anyway, but after all this dacades, game literally feel the same, no depth, no impact, not even remotely worth to remember.

Did you ever consider that it may just be genuinely bad on their part? Does everything in 2024 have to be by design? That's not the world we live in you know. Some people are just genuinely stupid. Some get a following even though they're bad. SNL has been on the air for decades even though it hasn't been funny in at least 15 years. I think you'd be surprised how many things in life you'd think were on purpose are indeed not, or far simpler than you'd imagine. Here's what I think, some people are naturally good at essentially talking to themselves and having fairly interesting one sided conversations in front of what is essentially an audience. Some people are not good at it and so to compensate they state the extremely obvious about that they're doing, talk incessantly about nothing, talk about anything but what they're doing because they're thinking too much about what we think of their perception of the game, etc etc. There's plenty of content creators that are amazing at some games they play a lot, that kind of suck at games they're trying out like anyone new to a something new is, but if they're good they dont say such dopey shit or try to patronize the audience regardless of the game 🤷♂️
