for selecting that chain for your outside profile, instead of all that clicking, open a sketch, project the solid, wham bam, outside profile in one click.
Pros and cons? I’m also considering the switch, but i used Inventor in my job for many years, then migrated to Fusion 360 when I started my own business (based on price only) and now fusion and Inventor is pretty much the same price... and you have to pay extra for the features you need... I said years ago that their plan was obviously to lure people in then jack up the price... and what do you know... it happened
It's nice that I ALWAYS learn something cool with your videos...ALWAYS.....but NOW I need to ask (and check) to see what works with the HOBBY license and what DOESN'T. Crossing my fingers.
Great videos lars I'm a new user for the last 6months from mastercam , and I love the way you're share this educational videos thank you very much siñor.
Dropping rapids from the hobby license is quite annoying - takes a lot of editing to restore them. Dropping tool changes wasn't too bad as that only takes a little editing and I have to manually change on my Seig X1 anyway.
Great video as always, Lars. It's a shame the Team at Autodesk don't offer a 'silhouette' command button (alongside the closed/open contour buttons) to save selecting all those entities for the outside of the part.............seems a logical thing to offer?!
Hi Lars thanks for you videos really find them informative. Most people watching will be like me a complete newb so it would be helpful for you to show the personal version of 360 with only one tool allowed to be posted out at a time and how the novice can work with this. Thanks for the videos keep up the good work.
Lars : Is there a way to simulate toolpaths at the actual speed they will run on the machine ? Those of us that have used the manual versions of machines have a hard time knowing if x inches / minute "feels " right. Thanks, pls keep up the great videos.
Yea sure. In process stock working in small models... If we have many operations it's taking so long... It's possible to improve performance to calculate stock and toolpaths ?
Hey Lars, what are the specs on your pc, you seem to have a much smoother experience inside fusion then I do, especially when selecting faces and geometry in the cam workspace. Just for comparison, I’m using a Ryzen 3900x 12 core 4ghz processor, 32gb ram, and a Gtx 1660 with the studio drivers.
How do you people export DXF for laser cutting after new update that ruined usability of the Fusion 360? I feel like doing part in Fusion 360 and then using illustrator for cad is just extra step I do not want.
Lars, Delighted to see that you've DOWNGRADED to using the personal hobbyist's license in your video's, thank you for doing that, makes us hobbyists feel that we haven't lost our Yoda. Without going into a rant, I know there is a huge amount of us that have become disenchanted with the recent changes to fusion, as can be seen by the fire storm across the internet. What's evident in those feelings is that we are willing to support AD financially but remain in a state of limbo wondering if an affordable Pro hobbyists license will be forthcoming. Most of us are hanging on by our finger tips waiting for any news and I'm not sure how much longer we can wait. Can you, with your connections, represent us and try to push some sort of management communication out to the hobbyist communty, whether good or bad, on what their going to do after seeing all of the feedback. Sitting quiet is not good for either of us. If its going to be $60/month and that's it, no change, fullstop, then fine but please tell us. My concern is that this limbo will see people start trying other platforms, investing time in them to cover themselves, and once gone unlikely to ever come back, let's try working together to prevent this. To finish, Lars thank you for sticking with us, it must have been difficult returning into this mellay, but please wear your maker/hobbyists tee-shirt with pride
The Manufacturing model feature just made my day

Fusion 360 just never ceases to amaze. Same goes for these tutorials ... Great match.
Absolutly great Video Lars
YOU should NEVER SHUT UP
You are a great teacher
I have learned so much from you🤩
Thanks for that
Didn't know a template can have multiple operations. That's so helpful. Thanks 👍

thanks lars, c-ya :)

If you look at the title bar of his screen, he was using the free for personal use license.
Really a good video, thanks Lars!
May you talk a litte about use stepover /use passes inside new tool library's cutting data panel?

I would imagine that add primitives might be a quick easy way to measure the size of the stock needed to mill your part. just an observation..

Great Video Lars. Which StepCraft CNC model do you have ?
Question? Can you export the X, Y, and Z coordinates for a Goldberg Polyhedron with 12 Pentagons and 20 Hexagons?
@17.21 was there any need to go back into design when you could have edited the 'Manu Model'?

This is awesome. I had no idea i could do this.
Is there a way to create a manufacturing model from imported models?
When Fusion 360 will be translated into Portuguese PR-BR.

I found the cam option to be the best. Just Search TH-cam

Why did you stop the live streams? I am just starting and your live stream are my everyday lessons.....
Hi Marcos, Sorry. Too busy with the day job
Lars must be unemployed from AD to save $$ too.
