I instantly recognize it ... because back in the day that's the first song I mastered on acoustic guitar. I don't care too much for what the chinese "composer" made out of it, but I LOVE Band-Maid's reimagination of it!
For people who want to know: This is a band-maid cover of a song by Yu-Peng Chen, it sounds very similar to Greensleeves but has a few different notes and even a few different segments. It's pretty obvious that Yu-Peng Chen was inspired by Greensleeves though. Doesn't make him any less of a genius.
Thanks for noticing Miku's finger picking work 😍 I hardly hear anyone noticing it. She's come such a long way 🤩 Thanks for the reaction. Rock on, Po! 🕊️🖤🤘😎
This is a cover song for that game. From what I can see in these ladies' perspectives, they are trying to make it as original as possible. Imagine they changed entire song into a rock song, it gonna be badass....
Dude, thanks for reacting to that. I hadn't seen it. I'd like to see Kanami do more of this sort of melody lead. Making her guitar almost like vocals. Greats like Jeff Beck were amazing with that sort of work and I think Kanami could be too. Akane and MISA would take take to it amazingly. And with Miku able to do more and more, Kanami can be free to take off.
Greensleeves always evokes strong emotions. Such a beautiful song. Band Maid has now added even more emotion with their intense version. Now which of course is my new favorite.
Thank you. I thought it was Greensleeves ; had Jeff Beck's version run through my mind and distracted from Kanami's playing. So enjoy her take on music.
@@leschab it's not Greensleeves. This piece by Yu-Peng Chen is in two main segments, where the first one is inspired by but not the same as Greensleeves. The second part is completely unique.
Thank you for sharing. Now I know what those spots are on Miku's stockings at the end of the Unleash!!!!! video. This song is related to Genshin Impact a Gacha game. I know of it because I play a rival Gacha game, Raid: Shadow Legends.
As a Band-Maid fan and a non-Genshin player, I have to say this is not a cover of "Greensleeves." This is a cover/rearrangement of a Genshin Impact song composed by Yu-Peng Chen. There are still differences from "Greensleeves" even though it probably influenced it. To so many comments, let's please not take away credit from Genshin's composer. If someone new to Band-Maid said "Take me higher" is a good Nickelback cover... (they're different). Wouldn't that get old to hear?
Listen for yourself but I believe Kanami borrowed this from the 1962 American western "How The West Was Won". Debbie Reynolds sang "Home in the Meadow" and also the Christmas song "What Child is This" It's a lovely rockin' remake IMHO. The melody is so pretty it stuck with me all these years and when I heard Band-Maid doing it my ears perked up. I remember watching this movie many times back in the day, I was 6yo when this movie came out. The music was by Alfred Newman. Now sure which tune came out first but they are the same melody. They have do songs for anime. 'Blooming' should be an anime theme song. This sounds like 'Greensleeves' reworked, much like this Metallica style version of it . . . th-cam.com/video/YK_VIeSVx0c/w-d-xo.html
MISA was just.... perfect. She manages to stand out without taking over the song.
Agreed!
"Greensleeves" for the 21st century & it's beautiful.😁
Yeah. Greensleeves parts 1,2, & 3. We need Saiki to sing some of the vocals in an extended version.
K, that's where it's from! Thanks, driving me crazy trying to figure it out.
@@785boats Oh man, i totally agree with that.😁👌
@@timbaker7238 Haha. Yep it's one of those tunes you hear but can never recall the name. But then it was written 422yrs ago.😮

Kanami channeling one of her favorite guitarist Carlos Santana.

Right on! Po!
Never underestimate pigeon, po!
Speechless and like a proud Uncle a little bit teary, more power to the Maids, peace and love Po 👍🎼🥁🎤🎸🍻
Band-Maid is truly multifaceted. They are such a treat and a joy to listen to. The are the defenders of the faith of what is a classic rock band.
Facts!
Listened to this several times . The attack on the senses is stronger each time ..
Beautiful
Brother, you nailed it. "It's Band Maid, so it can't be bad."
Can't be!
I am hearing the influence of Santana, Satriani, Carlton, and even Pink Floyd. Po-fection!
Love it! The Winery Maids, new sub-unit
Haha, I bet MISA was good with that idea.😁

That crystal clear guitar sound reminded me " KARELIA " by the Sputniks.
Just beautiful and Misa's lead bass is also very emotional😂.

It's a delight watching them grow!
Those two palm muted notes in the last section, delicate but killer!
Band-Maid showing they can do anything they set their minds to! This is a beautifully done song! Love it!

Glad you like it!
BANDMAID WILL MAKE THIS OLD CELTIC FOLK SONG (GREENSLEEVES) FAMOUS....😄😄😄
is it just me, or did some parts of the song sound like the Christmas song "What Child is This"?
Greensleeves
What Child is This melody is taken from Greensleeves.
I noticed the similarity to a Christmas song as well, just didn't know which one. Hauntingly beautiful effort by the ladies!
It's similar but not an exact copy. Maybe "based on" ...
Yes it does, and the melody of that Christmas Carol is from 'Greensleeves'.
