  • Year 2019 and USB power bank are everywhere, it has many names and lifeline is often use as a nick name.
    It power your phones, tablets, speakers and now it heat up your clothes to provide comfort. I experimented with it in the winter of 2018 and made my own USB powered vest, it work brilliantly and I enjoy using it so much.
    Fast forward to 2019 and it is now very popular, price has come down a lot due to the vast competitive market. In this video I will show you my DIY vest vs a cheap and a medium price USB heated vest.

    The style with the hidden button is good if you don't want to walk around and draw attention to yourself with a lighted button on display.

      I agree, a better solution will be having it in the front zipped pocket. It can be done as my DIY vest have the button on Al long wire which can reach most location on the vest.

    Yes I brought one of wish for 40dollars but its was half price still a bit night as its winter in Australia but the jacket works Greta 3 different setting I think if you spend anything over 150 there normally 3-5 get setting and its great for windy and rainy days . . I advice HND wiping down jacket and light steaming but not to close to jacket as we all sweat differently . but over all great value where the Milwaukee men one can cost up to few hundred dollars and only works with tool battery so there not compatible with normal battery banks like this one of amazon and wish .

    I use aliexpress for this kind of stuff. I found your consideration right now i can surely buy DIY pads !

      I find AliExpress good for bulk buy, buying singles or small quantity I prefer eBay for cheap price. Amazon is good for quick deliver with prime and ease of return if faulty. Amazon will be more expensive then the others

      @@BCreviews yes I agree with that, but for me in Italy is harder to find good prices on Amazon and periodically I find aliexpress items on it 🤣, is convenient for delivery time obviously, but It costs more... hard choice ?

      Got that vest from a outlet mall in America . If you are small to medium DIY is straight forward, I am large so having to extend 2 wires 😊

    I got an idea for your for your DIY vest Take velcro stripping And so to the inside of your jacket Stick the other side of the velcro to your pads then you can take them off whenever you want to wash your jacket and be able to watch it as many times as you want without affecting or ruining your equipment Or its integrity

    Thanks,that was useful didn't know about the diy packs. Could you mount the pads on Velcro so it's easy to take out and wash?

    • @BCreviews
      @BCreviews  4 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Yes you can. As the heat does not need to be in contact with any surface, as long as you zip up and air tight heat will have no where to go.

    In my opinion button inside the jacket is the best placement

    • @BCreviews
      @BCreviews  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks for watching my video, just interested to know why inside the jacket? I will be making another vest for next winter as mine is now a bit tatty.

      @@BCreviews because i don't want to go arround with a led lit on my chest, and to be honest, you don't change modes too often, maybe good placement would be at the bottom of the jacket where the zipper ends. Wouldn't place on a collar because it can be touching your neck. 👍🤔

    I received a heated jacket. Egevogue Venustas fleece. The battery has 2 usb ports, 1 blue and 1 black. I need to know which one to use to hook up my jacket, and why are there 2? I sent them an email but haven't rec'd a response. Any clue as to why the 2 ports?

    • @BCreviews
      @BCreviews  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Power bank sometimes have multiple port to power more than one device. To power the jacket bout should be ok but I think the blue port could be 2.1A which is higher power output. It will not damage the jacket , just use up the power storage quicker that way.

  • @realgagne2956

    Does it have to be constantly plugged in to a power bank to work?

    • @BCreviews
      @BCreviews  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Yes, it draws power from the USB socket, no power = no heating. Just a regular jacket/vest without power.

  • @realgagne2956
    @realgagne2956 4 ปีที่แล้ว

    how long does a charge last if plugged in to a regular usb port?

    • @BCreviews
      @BCreviews  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      If plug into a 10000mAh power bank roughly 4h full power , 6h medium power and 8h low power.

    Can you wear it over wet clothing?

    • @BCreviews
      @BCreviews  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      Although it is only 5v and water will probably do no harm to the wire, would not recommend it. Especially the power bank can get water damage

    I ordered jacket and a vest from this company.....because they run very very small I don't get a chance to return and get my money back.
    Ordered a 2x and a medium more like small and extra smal.
    NOT GOOD CUSTOMER SERVICE!

      I do find most China made clothing a tad small in size , I am rare Chinese who is 6”1” . I buy most stuff from Amazon and never had problem with returns , it is 10% more than ebay and Ali express tho
