Toukers brand along with H+M and Nike is on the biggest polluter list. Not just in the factory but the rate in which "cheap" clothing is disposed after wear
Cant believe they went for this. Theyre trying to become the official ethical brand, would take a lot of capital. Also their “credentials” was just them having decent jobs in the past ahaha
The value of this company wouldn’t come from their ability to verify the info from a brand or company, it’s how much foot traffic their site would get from consumers and how much consumers would be swayed by their recommendations. That’s the value they would bring to their clients and without that their company is pointless
@@scienceevolves4417 It’s marketing. Marketing is effective in some forms and a complete waste of money in other forms. The entire concept of marketing is an illusion.
Is it highly profitable? I feel like a lot of these younger people on Twitter who care about this stuff will still end up going to Walmart to buy the factory tee-shirt made in China because the price is too good. I want to say this is more of a fad then anything else.
Incredible to see Touker openly state that the premise is BS, he knows full well that guys like him have built the supply chain to be impossible to follow - but then bids anyway cause he sers the clout it could buy him if it takes off
Probably because this idea if successful would greatly expose and damage his investments😂 so it is by his casual greed and self-interest rather than his ingenuity and any care for humanity.
ANOTHER eco product...ANOTHER from the app and rating category. I dont really understand how they can claim to be the arbiters of virtue here. Like what enables them to verify the businesses? Their backgrounds even if they line up STILL dont give them that definitive edge.
In short: they think they have the moral high ground to judge what others should buy, so (1) they can make money and (2) impose their set of values on a global scale.
Sounded good, but fell apart, it'll never ever work. You'll get a false product sent which is sustainable, but the product on the shop floor would be completely different, same if you went to the factories.
Sorry, those are not credentials. Yet another pseudo sustainability scheme. The very fact they are being paid by brands makes it not credible. A consumer subscription model, would be more credible and potentially more scalable if done right.

Why would big brands pay £100,000 if small brands only pay £1000?

Indeed, except it's actually pointless irrespective of how many people would fall for it. Profitable maybe, but definitely not useful.

A lot of entrepreneurs and companies concerned about "ethics" and the environment, now that it's a highly profitable endeavor.

Let's start counterarguments shall we. What's good about it in your opinion?
Touker always acts so arrogant and rude when anything clothing related comes to the den.
His companies score very low on sustainability, that's why he's so aggressive here.
tbh so does Peter when it's anything tech related. I also think in both cases it's more about strategy and less about their actual personality.
