- The Little Loop's Charlotte Morley is next into The Den pitching her children's shared wardrobe scheme. She's seeking an investment of £70,000 in exchange for 7.5% of her business. Charlotte asks a question that has never been asked before in The Den, but what will The Dragons think?
Season 19, Episode 4.
An international sensation, Dragon's Den features entrepreneurs pitching for investment in the Den from our Dragons, five venture capitalists willing to invest their own money in exchange for equity.

My jaw was on the floor hearing her counter to the dragons. What an intelligent human. Really proud of her!!
it happens on Shark Tank ALL the time.
@@Faisals_Adventures Hello Faisals_Adventures. I wonder if you might be mixing up 'sharing' a deal with taking two complete offers. I've watched a lot of dragons den and shark tank but I haven't seen every single episode, so it's possible I've missed some things. What I see happen a lot on Shark Tank (like Dragons Den) is:
- Entrepreneur asks for, say, 100,000$ for 7%
- Shark offers 100,000$ for 15%
- Shark #2 offers 100,000$ for 10%
- Entrepreneur inquires about getting both sharks involved at the deal.
- Sharks #1 and #2 say they'll do it for 12%.
- Final deal: Shark #1 invests 50,000$ for 6%, Shark #2 invests 50,000$ for 6%.
In this situation, the entrepreneur was pitching for 70,000$ in exchange for 7.5% of her company.
- She got an offer of 70,000$ for 15% from shark #1
- She got an offer of 70,000$ for 12.5% from shark #2
- She asked about getting both sharks in.
- Instead of asking the sharks to give 35,000$ each for half equity each, she asked them each to give 70,000$ (the full amount) to receive 12.5% each.
So instead of getting 70,000$ for 12.5% of her business, (Each shark giving 35,000$ and getting 6.25%)...
--she instead gets 140,000$ for her business and gives up 25% of her business.
What I think you mean to say is that in Shark Tank, to get two sharks involved, they invest half the money together, and get half the percentage. (A pitcher offering 20% for 80,000$ for instance, split between two sharks means both sharks invest 40,000$ and get 10% each). In this case, she did the equivalent of getting two deals instead of 1 shared deal. She got two sharks to give her the amount she wanted independently (so double what she came in looking for) but she she also gave away double the % she was going to. She gave each dragon (shark) the same equity she would have given to 1 dragon.
Apparently this company made around £250,000, last year. Only 1 employee (her). Well done. That's how you become financially independent.
thats brilliant to hear!
Would have surely made more if she sticked with Touker.
She is probably the smartest and confident entrepreneur that I have seen in the Den.

Should have had Touker and Steven
@@rboeyrt4054 there is always one
What an incredible business woman
Fantastic entrepreneur, I wish her all the best
Great last minute negotiation. Extremely savvy lady. I hope she makes a great success of this wonderful idea 🙌
If I were her, I would’ve asked all 4 dragons for 6% each. Touker could’ve added a lot of value here
sometimes too many of them can have a negative impact... It's better to have one or two that are more heavily invested in rather than many with small ownership...
Didn't need to almost cry while eating dinner after rugby training 😂😂😂

She was fantastic.
A lovely lady I did cry for her and may she do well.
God Bless this lovely lady , thank you Dragons for backing her business
Aww. Good choice. I was trying to think of who she reminded me of and I think it might be Gillian Anderson.
Renee Walker from 24
These three are a Dream Team and I wish them and their environmental/social mission incredible success. Congratulations to them (and our beautiful planet).
LOL Touker cant even get an investment in his own field
😂😂😂😂
This lady just played 4D chess with the dragons and won.
i love Charlotte so much, what a rockstar!!! I'm sure she'll do amazingly
One of my favourite pitches
She was up there with the best I’ve seen
And there you have it, this is how to raise an investment. It’s about how you come across and how to present your idea! Brilliant!
She did really well she had all the right answers
Watch Deborah’s reaction when she knows she is not the favorite dragon.
What a performance. Best one in a while
All I can say is tears and cheers!
So happy for her
Fantastic ❤
Good luck to this woman ❤
What a great entrepreneur
Damn, that is a surprisingly wholesome.
Kudos to her.
She did great, but could have easily gotten 150k for 30% from 3 dragons and include Touker in the deal.
Too many cooks spoil the broth
Touker and Stephen hate each other so it wouldn't have been a good mix.
what a lovely personality that woman has and so very attractive
from 56% how much profit is that after operating costs?
in New Zealand we have more second hand shops than fashion shops. Dress trousers for $2 ...all of them, just $2 ...I mean to say.
Very impressive! Will she continue her day job of solving X-Files?
😂I get that
Her filed accounts show she made a loss in Year 1 of -£187k, Year 2 of -£63k and a Year 3 loss of -£142k .
Has anyone walked in and said “hello sharks” 🦈
What a beautiful lady I imagine the troops in Iraq were encouraged by her attitude
£17 a month is over £200 a year in second hand clothes. It's too much
And even then. £17 a month isn't enough for stock. Or are you paying your own postage both ways? And where is the money coming from, to run the business? Especially when there are returns or hassle
Why are they wearing the same outfit in so many episodes its like thier character
They film many episodes in one day
Is this the best pitch ever??
No one ever takes Touker...
That's were op shops come in
Ethereum 👍
Everybody has someone to pass on the clothes to. She is creating a second hand clothes market. Impossible to sort out the logistics. Where do the clothes get exchanged?
Total mess. People damaging clothes, making them dirty or not returning them.
I cant stand the fake cry situation tho..
So it wasn't like Tears for Fears but more like Tears for Cheers!!!

Sure your children said that🙄
they really should've done more research on their company name (those who know will know)
Great, she got the two biggest egos in the Den. :)
Put your arm down Debs, you scream of poor me.
A millionairess in the making.
Dang. I want my wife to have that sweet head nod
The government is always moving against private industry...
this kind of thing has already been done in other countries. Its existed in the czech republic for over 10 years. Why do they always lie about the idea? You saw its success in another country and thought to bring it here.
Wow congrats to her, she turned over £425 million last year and made a healthy profit of 3 billion dollars!
According to their statement of financial position Little Loop made a loss of £391k last year. Where are you getting your figures from?
Usual BS from the goose.
You really think she made £425 million? XD@@Chopper8472
Awesome
Inevitable sustainability...
🫡 Intelligence skills 💯
She knows what she wanted which is her favourite dragon, and she has a plan for increasing the investment from 70k to 140k which is impressive 🎉
