The reason it's called the "silent" drill team is because after the command "forward march" is barked, no further commands or cadence are given. The synchronized rifle drill Is not really part of the "silent drill". My favorite part of the show is the "mirror", where the Marine in the line "mirrors" the "inspecting" NCO and right as he turns to march off the inspector flips the rifle back to the marine he borrowed it from.I don't know if that is shown in this video because I can't sit here anymore. (my sciatica is really hurting this evening and I need to go lay down).
There are many very good drill teams around the world and then there are USMC Silent drill team..... they are simply just out of this world and noone even comes close to them
