I am very happy for your return. In view of your video a few years ago, I bought an xpro1 and 18mmf2 in 2020. This is a great experience, especially after using Sony cameras for nearly 2 years. Because xpro1 has rekindled my desire for shooting itself, I hope you will have better video sharing in the future.
Me too. I bought an xpro1 around a year ago (after watching John's and others videos) and I use it 90% of the time despite it being slow and clunky by today's standards
Hey John! Great to see you back. I like your honest, down-to-earth, knowledgeable video style. :) One suggestion: try to look at the lens when you talk. I am guessing that you are looking at a screen as you film. It just looks a bit strange with your eyes looking slightly off to the side. Keep up the good work.
Hi Paul thank you for the comment and the kind words. I agree about the looking at the lens. I didn’t even notice it while I was filming but you’re 100% right. It is strange. Hoping to get a camera that can serve as the filming camera soon. The iPhone does the job but definitely want to make the best quality videos I can for you and others who are kind enough to tune in. Thank you so much for the feedback. I appreciate it a lot.
Thank you for your content. I have changed back to Fuji after Sony FE, too. Although Sony is certainly a great system, I lost the passion for photography and that kind of magic, which seems to go with Fuji. My choices for my new Fuji life were the X-T4, the 16mm, 23mm, 35mm F1.4s and the 90mm F2.0. The only thing left from my former photography life and maybe the only thing which will stay forever is Capture One :-).
Hi Hartmut! Thank you so much for the comment and the kid words! Great choice with the X-T4 and lens lineup! And I just recently converted to Capture One myself. I am shocked at how much I love it!!
Glad to see you back, it’s been too long. While I have been lusting after the X-T3 and or ’4’, I went with the X-Pro 3 instead. Like you, I love range finders (owned an M6 for a few months back in the 80s, but I simply could not justify the $1600 + the expensive glass, and on top of that carrying around a ton of Canon gear, it had to go😞), so I picked up an X-Pro2 in ’16’. As the current crop of XTs are assembled in China and I have been trying to limit the of purchasing goods and services from the PRC, I will stick with my X-T2s, both X-Pros and an X-E2s. Again, glad to see you back, looking forward to more great content.
Started Fujifilm with x-t20 really enjoyed it. One day I went to local fujifilm store to buy 23mm f2 and there was this body laying on counter I guess a customer left it for censor cleaning. I picked it up, it was an x-pro2 and I knew just then it was it. It was out of my budget that time.Maybe 6 months later another local store put a great deal on it. It was cheaper than some used one's online. I bought it. Loving it since. Something about the form and how it feels. It has some weird flaws but I am weird so it is okay. Great to watch your videos. Also looking forward for your reviews on the lenses you bought.
I'm on the brink of getting an XT-3 - when they're on special again at the camera shop I usually get my gear from - and have been watching many reviews, however it was your review that I was specifically looking for, being a Fuji man. I'm sold. Great review John.
Hi Sean, thank you so much for the comment and kind words. I couldn’t be any happier with my x-t3. I’m sure you’ll love it. Great idea to wait until it’s on sale!
@@wondersandwilderness Great stuff John. I'm waiting with eager anticipation for the XT-3 to go on special - any day now hopefully. Always appreciate your advice and reviews.
Hi John, I use the XT3 with the XT2, I’d like to use the XPro2 as my second body but I know I’d struggle with the muscle memory switching between the two. It might be worth looking at the Mieke grips, that’s what I use. I’m sure the Fuji version is better but I have no complaints with mine.
I am a nikon shooter (dslr) but had a xt1 for 5 years until last week when the shutter died. Look at a used xt3 , I don't buy new, but the xt3 for 899 new its a great deal.
My wife and son bought me an XT3 for my 60th birthday in late 2018, and it is stunning, although it will be a cool day in hell before I part with my X-Pro1.
Great vlog. Love my Fuji gear even though I’ve had the Olympus and the Nikon Z6 I went back to Fuji. On your vlog are you talking to someone as you look like you are as your not looking at the lens.....thanks.

No worries. My lots of good-paying gigs come your way. :)

You’re 100% right!!! I just love the x-pros!! It’s hard to explain you just have to experience it to get it !

Hi Nigel!! Thank you so much for the advice. I’m actually considering it and it’s great to hear from someone who has some experience with it.
I also left Fujifilm for Sony for a short while, had to buy it all back, felt very stupid afterwards 😂
Thank you for comment. I completely understand that feeling, for sure. But now I feel like I’ve come home again.

You have an awesome wife!! And your right about the X-Pro 1. My favorite digital camera of all time.
