100% agree! I always give more value by maximizing any shoot to create a 'master video' then as much off shoot smaller content as makes sense - snippets for social media, testimonials shorts, photos and quotes for website, etc. In initial conversations, pitching that idea of leveraging any shoot to produce an arsenal of content ALWAYS goes over well, even if they decide not to take that option cuz you show yourself as not just a producer but a strategic partner who wants to help them achieve their goals in creative ways that will give them bang for buck and maximize their resources. At the same time, you make more on the post-production of these extras vids.

Great info Brandon, but I must ask you about cost as the client is going to keep asking you about how much, can you talk about discussing pricing the micro content because that will come up in the conversation. They may say, "Sure, sounds good, How much?" I get that all of the time and it is a challenge at least for me not to keep going back to price, in the end that is what they want to know, how much? Thanks for sharing!

Since me in a friend decide come together do photography company looking expend into doing film in video . i use you references .which partner in hes starting coming around to you're channel .
Awesome vid bro, So im looking at getting into photography / videography so youre helping a lot. i bought my first piece of equipment wrong lol. mavic air 2. i need a camera lol
i did the same exact thing with a car dealership that wanted to do just one car review and asked for a goal of theirs as far as sales and ended up working for them on a weekly basis doing micro videos weekly and if the videos worked your ROI is worth the money i then taught them how to make their own videos using an iphone and i now got a business partnership outside of just shooting videos for them and they send me clients that is also looking for content
Hey it’s great that you’re helping your audience think outside the box to maximize their efforts but I feel this is a bit of an oversimplification of the process of determining what is required to help the client achieve their goals? There’s days of research and teams to determine what ppl need to see, feel, and experience to achieve a goal. Are filmmakers equips to make that determination? Just an observation.
I hear you, but this is a start. I've found learning about marketing and being a strategic partner allows me to have real impact and gets me more work. At least being able to talk in that realm is the way to go IMO. I've developed a strategic process over the years but creating 'micro content' from a shoot is a good starting point

Where do you get music and sfx for your freelance work? Epedemic sounds doesnt allow you to use their tracks unless you pay loads...?
