Love the way he talks about his wife.
Kara Swisher is terrible. Why can't she ever let anyone finish talking, without cutting them off?
This is a powerful share. Deeply vulnerable.
I'm shocked it took me this long to find you two. This is excellent stuff. Thanks for your humanity. I'll enjoy digging into the backlog. All the best!
Long time fan, first time commenter: why don't you guys put the entire podcast(audio and/or video) on youtube?
Bc theywant u to go to the podcast host.
Thank you so much. Fascinating. I think it’s beautiful how much of the focus was on Scott’s boys. It sounds like an amazing experience. I understand it’s not for everyone. Deeply moving.
This was useful for me as I am curious about Ketamine, have not tried it yet, but considering it. I have done LSD a few times when I was 18 (decades ago) and think it did help open new neural pathways and plasticity for me. I think using psychedelics with intention to heal/release/learn/grow can be really powerful and beneficial
And in the end
The love you take
Is equal to the love you make
(John Lennon / Paul McCartney)
I would never could never!
I am not a good drug taker.
I’m a highly sensitive person. Experienced Derealization from pot when I was a kid.
It intensifies the inner thoughts you already have
Swisher cuts him off frequently
Welcome to the podcast
The reason you get nauseous is because you are speeding through space, so it's like motion sickness. The set and setting are important. I have to clear my mind or what I bring to the session will become more pronounced. It's not for everyone. I would like to be brought back down if I'm having a bad experience, but when I've had a good experience I want it to last longer, the good sessions of about an hour were too short. To go out to the edge of the universe and back in an hour is too short a time.
Kara asking herself the ultimate question as posed by Ramana Maharshi: "Who am I?" Be careful! I asked myself this during a ketamine therapy session and...wow...was a little much! I've found the best intention to have when taking a journey is to feel love.
"It was an amazing moment that I don't recommend to anyone who hasn't already been too high". Okay, great, I need to get way too high now..... got it.
Feel sad I never had kids
& Musk takes this stuff? Wow!
Terrible explanation not very eloquent explanation. 👎🏻 made no sense from an experience perspective.
Absolutely disgusting how Swisher tries to make it about herself a minimum of seven times throughout this interview.
Galloway - honest and authentic. The lady co-host, terrible. She is not listening , cutting in, interrupting all the time
I was glad to hear that Scott came away from the experience believing that ketamime is NOT for everyone
Thanks for opening up, Prof G! 👍
Listening to scott, i realize how vastly different our experiences w K can be.
Struggling w major depression for 10 years, it was a high the first round (half dose) and by the 2nd i had a profound realization abt a long term problem that wasnt even on my mind that day.
I discontinued the treatments bc depression did not lift.
About 8 weeks later, i woke up. Depression gone. Was it the K? Unknown.
But that insight into the problem was soooo unexpected and helpful.
Try it Kara.
That explains why space karen has becoming more unhinged. Thank you.
Turn your damn volume way up !!!!
Fascinating! I'm definitely one of those who should NOT do K.
Loved this. Thanks for sharing Scot. I’m equally scared and interested in Ketamine…
Wow! Thanks
Scott:
Hypothesis: the reason the whole value thing didnt show up in your experience might b bc its scaffolding for the ego. A self-created framework you create.i think K's distinguishing effect is suspending ego.
It also depends if you get a ketamine injection or a ketamine infusion.
An injection goes in the muscle and after it absorbs hits like freight train which can be too much for many. An infusion gives you a large amount too but over a longer period. You still go to space put you don't escape gravity. You just orbit for about 45 minutes.
volume sucks
