I have heard many live and recorded performances of this composition on various instruments. This is by far the most beautiful and enlightening interpretation. Almost magical.
Petrit is really unique guitar artist. I'm doing my best to film high quality Live videos.. and good sound is cruical.. so browse my chanel and check it... Subscribe for new videos !
I do think the guitar as a concert instrument is the hardest to play in mechanical terms. Even over violin or cello with obvious considerations to intonation. You just don’t see top violinists who practice the same amount as guitarists making mistakes. Guitar is the only instrument where top level performers still make rather obvious mechanical errors.
@@gilbertwalker3222 May be, I don't have the impression that the mechanics of the guitar instrument make interpretation more difficult (the "touch" of the piano etc.). But to see that I will try to learn BWC 1007.
Bouedo Lucas for sure, each instrument has its technical limitations. Finding colour and tone on a piano is truly one of the most difficult tasks an instrumentalist can undertake. When it is so readily available to a guitarist. However, unlike any other instrument in the concert hall, a top level performer of guitar will still make rather obvious errors. Unlike a pianist, or cellist or violist. The guitar just seems more troublesome at the highest end of playing.
@@gilbertwalker3222 I would have to listen to more classical repertoire live on guitar to see if these errors are recurring. I think back to the mechanics of the guitar and agree with your point of view: the combo plucked strings and the frets accentuate the risk of "tzoing" or "bzz" .. And if we play alone silence does not forgive any error .
i swear to god it is impossible to play the first four bars without screwing something up. they seem so easy, but because they are so repetitive, any little thing sticks out.
