This song has helped me through a lot of hard times. Whenever i'm sick, whenever i feel down I listen this with tears in my eyes because of the beauty. It makes me want to live life and stay strong it gives me energy and brings me back up. I'm so grateful that liszt lived. Thank You

I feel this so much! My interpretation of this is even though love can be rough and hard at times, you and the other person come out of it with a love that is stronger and more beautiful as a result. The recap is the part which brings tears to my eyes, always. I just finished learning to play this, and I channel every ounce of passion into it.

Having heard Liebestraum so many times with an orchestra and piano, I didn't quite know what to expect. I kind of thought I might be a little disappointed.
I wasn't. This was beautiful.
Still hope about one day, when I modulate this melody and someone just say "Oh, liebestraum". I guess I will live with this man for the rest of my life.

Cannot stop listening to this very touching performance. Somehow this combination of Cello and piano makes this music the sound of longing for love and being loved, Beautiful piece and beautiful performance.

I love that they moved the main melody to cello becuase it gives it that warm,meaningful sentence.
Golly. Takes me back to when I was a beginning cello student back in 1960. I had the sheet music for a transcription of 'Liebestraum', and I used to badger every pianist who came into the house into accompanying me in the piece.... Well, nostalgic reminiscences aside, the Toivios play it BEAUTIFULLY!...
(P..S. Someone out there has just asked me whether I still have the sheet music. Heavens, no! That was a long time ago.)

it reminds me on my grandfather. It was his favorit song after the early death of my grandmother. And now I use it in my weddingceremony in memorarium of my grandfather and grandmother. So beautytful...

I can remember this song way back into my grade school days, my grade school and high school were private schools, connected to a college, so we got LOTS of this kind of stuff, I learned to LOVE classical music. I also had a wise 8th grade teacher who taught us to appreciate classical music, I'll always be glad for that!!

Amazing amazing amazing. I personally think this duet version is much better than the solo piano version. Cello's vibrato can never be simulated in piano perfectly and it is the emotional part of it :)
This is a superlative performance and interpretation-I hope this duo continues in concerts of 'cello and piano literature -or perhaps finds a violinist of equal taste and talent to form a trio!The sky has no limits for them.Great musical possibilities here -wonderful to hear and see young artists who respect and understand classical music!!A rare treat.

To me this performance is like a romantic movie depicting the life of Liszt. The music, the mood, the beauty of the cellist and the handsome look of her brother, everything is just perfect. I like to paint portraits and I am so inspired by the classical beauty of her that I will try my best to do a portrait of her. Bravo!

I knew he was an incredible composer when I was a kid in the 1950's. I went every Saturday to see a serialized version of the Flash Gordon movie made in the late 30's. The background music was from Liszt's "Les Preludes".
