Just got my rhino/septoplasty done a couple days ago, and it’s definitely been one of the most difficult experiences I’ve ever faced in my life. My procedure took 8 hours and the doctor said my septum was the worst he’d ever seen. I’m struggling to sleep at all and the swelling is a lot. Hopefully it will be worth the pain in the end, because the beginning definitely sucks.
oh wow, that must have been scary. But you're through the worst part now! Try to sleep as elevated as possible - this will help your breathing and swelling :) Good luck and hope you end up as happy as I am with mine 🤩don't forget to subscribe
Ohh mine was bad too and it was a revision coz it was so bad !! And I also was 4 hours plus the anesthetist did something so I had for one week my tongue was restricted on my left side and it’s ok now but now my left vocal cord it’s damaged apparently from a very rare reaction or maybe the tube that was down my throat ! Now it’s Ben a month and a week and I’m supposed to get an injection on my vocal cord in 2 weeks if it doesn’t work it’s gonna take time Wela or months to heal!!! I can’t talk loud and I get tired now my life it’s terrible! I’m wondering if I can get some compensation out of this !;( go and see my channel I recorded 2 videos pre and post op !!;(
@@ilegallaws3741 sorry to hear that. It’s been a year since I had procedure and I’m happy with the results, but it’s not perfect. It’s a long healing process and you have to be patient. I just started noticing the swelling on the tip of my nose finally go down. I also realized that this surgery was never going to fix my breathing despite my septum being fixed, because my sinuses are the issue actually. Have faith and the results will show. I hope your complications are not serious and they resolve soon.
@@JustDoinFlorida I already know it’s going to take so long probably a year but It’s pretty crazy that I can’t even talk now loud I can’t even go anywhere that is loud!! My nose it’s looking pretty much so different anyways it’s a lot smaller and straight so I’m very very happy with the surgery and I can breathe better from my left nostril but the hoarseness on my voice and stressful situation that I’m at? I’m so disappointed !! All that appointments MRI scans even that ejection they im getting by a specialist it’s all free Because they’re trying to help me but I am still suffering! I’m going to give it another two weeks after the injection if it doesn’t work then I don’t know what to do about my nose it’s looking so much nicer it looks so different now specially from the side !
I am also based in Antwerp and I have an operation scheduled with the same surgeon as yours…. I am very very very nervous as it will be a long operation…. I do hope I have such good results as yours! I love your vlogs by the way…
I also got it done with the same surgeon! I’m 1 month post op and i’m in love 😫 everyone compliments me on my nose hahah, i found her while watching nosejob vlogs 2/3 hours post operation and i was shocked that it was the same hospital , first 3/4 days had a little bit pain, overall it was bearable. The cast removal was a disaster, she also mentioned it in her video thanks to that i was prepared for the piggy nose. But it literally does change day by day, so have patience!! And good luck

Hey Nathalie, this is gold, thanks for posting . I am into day 15, cast was removed yesterday as it was not ready after one week. I had a septoplasty and rhinoplasty.. quite complex and my whole nose was re done, side-walls widening, correct septum and tip reshape. I’ve seen your videos .. the swelling is real.. I don’t have much bruising but the SWELLING.. the tip is hard/ almost numb and BIG and pointed.. did you experience this?! When did you start again exercising? I am desperate to go back to yoga .. would be good to hear your insights . Confidence .. dropping ! This is making me so anxious…I guess is normal. Thank you so much 🙏🏻♥️
The numb tip is completely normal and it can stay like that for weeks or even months. The tip takes the longest time to reach its final state. All the best for you ✨

I loved my nose the first time my doctor removed the cast and tape but yesterday when I was changing the tape (I have to do it regularly for 1.5 months) I thought it looked so big and that’s how I found your channel. My doctor said that mixed races (I’m Mexican) have a worse healing that races that are more “pure” like white American people, Germans, Asians etc etc. So the tape is needed for us (Mexicans) to keep the shape they do and avoid cartilage calluses to form and deform the nose. I loved the shape he did but surely the inflammation messes up my perception.
Oh I'm so sorry to hear but really my nose changed all the time too and it was because of swelling. I've never heard anythign regarding race but I do know everyone's body heals differently and also pending on your skin texture. I personally never taped and my doctor said that he doesn't recommend it to his patients because you are taping down the swelling and the second you remove it it will blow up again anyways so it's best to let your nose take its natural course of healing. But again I'm not a doctor and you should listen to yours based on the type of surgery he performed on you. Just wait it out.. it took me a WHOLE YEAR for my nose to gain its shape and look non-swollen. You've got this!!! please don't forget to sub to my channel 💖
My septo and rhinoplasty was done a month ago and I found huge swelling on my nose ,tip is stiffed and little deviation in my nose I'm very nervous... Please help me
I got mine done 6 months ago. I can’t feel that the swelling will go and that i might like my nose one day. My nostrils looked so big compared to my tip and bridge so the doctor underwent an alarplasty for me last week. I don’t know i still feel they are big when i look in the mirror. I hope it will change, i guess i’ll have to wait another 6 months and see..

I just had a nose job , I'am 7 days post op and I haaaaate it. I know it's just swelling but I am so looking forward to be in a year. i want to enjoy my nose lol
I got mine done and I understood the swelling but there was a bump after post op, I was sooo devastated. It’s going down but the bump is still there & I’m on my 4 week post op. No one told me there was a chance of calluses that can give you a bump during the healing
I wasn’t aware either but honestly, like I say in all my vids, you have to be patient! 4 weeks is nothinggggg in the whole recovery process so wait it out and hopefully it gets better! Hope you feel better and don’t forget to look at before & after pics.. it helps! Make sure you sun to my channel for more ☺️✨
Thank you so much for all of your videos, they have by far been my favourite vlog ones to follow. I’m 8 days post op right now and feeling a bit of despair about the swelling but good to know how beautiful it may look one day! I have 4 more weeks and then my 21st bday party, do you think it will look ok to people who don’t rly know about it by then? (I know it will still have swelling but do you think it will still look kinda ugly by then?). Also when they took my cast off my nose was covered in pimples! So bad but I think it’ll get better because usually my skin is pretty good :’).
You look amazing now !! Happy for your new perfect nose ! I decided to go this year for consultation. I don’t know if I understood but are you from Netherlands? Because I’m searching for surgeon in Netherlands. Could you give me some details about yours ? I really like your nose ! Greetings !
oh my god i got my cast off 5 days ago and have been crying every day since. i personally am not happy with how thick/wide the bridge of my nose is. everyone always talks about the tip taking the longest to recover from swelling, but can you say maybe approx how long it took for the bridge of your nose to see a swelling decrease?? im freaking out and it would be good to know if i still have to wait some more weeks or if this really is just what my surgeon did and i have to accept it…

@@reme9404 it’s still a work in progress. It got SO much better but I still have 4.5 months to go and am hoping my nose takes it’s final shape at my one year mark. I still have days of swelling and it’s an entire mental adjustment especially when looking at my old photos. I don’t hate it right now but I don’t love it either. It’s weird. It changes every single day. I hope in a few months my final result makes me happy.
@@reme9404 a LOT. Even looking back at my pictures. My tip has changed most significantly around month 10, a huge difference from month 9. It dropped a lot and my swelling in my face finally went away month 10. I’m not sure why my face had swelling for much longer than others. I did gain weight due partially because I’m in my mid twenties and had a second puberty along with post op depression so I thought that had to do with my chubby face, but no it was mostly all swelling. I still have a month left until I reach my year mark and there’s still swelling but not as significant. My suggestion is to take pictures every two weeks and don’t compare them until months later and you will see the difference if you compare them side by side. I haven’t reached my one year mark but judging by the looks of it, my final result won’t be until 1.5-2 years until all my swelling has reduced. Even after year 1, you still may experience swelling and minor changes in your nose.
Thanks Natalie for all this info. I have a question, did you have to wear an external splint for a few months after surgery. My doc has asked me to wear this external splint (dissolvable in water) at least 6-7 hours in a day and in the night. But the splint keeps getting loose and I have to keep visiting him (he lives in a different city) . He says its to ensure the bone doesn't get deviated again...
Hi, you're very welcome! Interesting.. i've never heard or seen one of them so I can't offer any guidance. However I documented my whole recovery process in my first 2 vlogs (filing daily) so you can see everything i did 🤗 good luck and don't forget to subscribe
I just had my septorhinoplasty 2 days ago and can see the space between my lip and nose is massive. I saw the same on your cast off reveal video. definitely looks better now! did you get lip fillers? or please tell me everything just settled itself 😊
No lip filler - it just settled itself 🤗this takes a while though (well for me anyways) as my nostrils kept changing with swelling and also it took a while to get my natural smile back cause my lip was stiff etc so patience is key! Don't forget to subscribe to my channel 💖 and good luck in your recovery
Hi! I love your videos they make me feel way more calm about my swelling process, but I do have a question, you mention that when you drank alcohol or at warm weather your nose the next day was more swollen, does that at any point stops? Or that is gonna happen every time you drink or expose yourself to the warm weather?
Thank you!! I’m so glad 🌷don’t forget to subscribe to my channel ☺️ and yes I did feel that those were factors that made my nose feel a bit bigger the following day but it wasn’t like an immense swelling.. just felt a bit puffier. I was also in Marbella 4 weeks after ny surgery, you can watch the vlog here: th-cam.com/video/4H2AVUEKaOA/w-d-xo.html where I talk about ny nose in the sun a bit and you can see that my nose wasn’t much bigger it just felt slightly larger some days. Really varied. Hope that helps ! And good luck with your recovery
Just a week or 2.. eventually my nose became too small (because the swelling went down) and it would just fall off so I stopped. Don't forget to subscribe to my channel 🥰
You look amazing! So happy for you...please tell me how long it took for your bruise that you had on the bridge of your nose after cast removal to go away completely?Like no mark at all. Also I remember you had uneven nostrils....how long did it take for the nostrils to even out? Thanks so much....
Thank you so much that’s so sweet!!! The bruise was there very lightly (just a bit redder than the rest of my skin so not a noticeable bruise) for a while but can’t remember when it went.. maybe 8months actually! The nostrils I talk about in this video.. took a whole year because the nostrils are entirely dependent on the swelling 🤷🏼♀️ please don’t forget to subscribe ! And good luck with your recovery
I dont want my tip to "drop" though... I'm 6 weeks post op and I love where my tip is. I asked my surgeon on cast off day if the tip would "drop" He told me no. So hoping thats not the case. Your results are beautiful though.
I'm glad! Watch my full experience vlogs for more daily insights! I wouldn't recommend exercising the first 2 weeks as you might feel light headed (thats how I felt anyways when I over-exerted myself) But just listen to your body! Good luck and don't forget to subscibe to my channel 💖
Nathalie can you get the hump removed, but leave the tip?? ..as a man i would not like my nose tipped up or 'piggy' or too symetrical' and perfect.. or dose the surgeon just do what he thinks ??
I went to an ENT because I had a deviated septum so that was the priority to get fixed. I'm also very happy with my choice actually because I believe he really gave me a natural nose which could be a big risk with a plastic surgeon. Hope that helps.. just do some research, look at their before and afters and make sure you feel comfortable with them. Good luck!!! And don't forget to subscribe to my channel 💖
I just found your channel because I thinking of doing a nose job, and after a year of searching around I found the surgeon I am going to be using. I have a consultant in a month's time who will inspect my nose and tell me the price. How much did you pay for nose surgery? Thanks Ps I am so glad you mentioned the bruising on your nose because so many videos I have come across show a perfect nose right after the cast is taken off, yours show the real truth. Also, how was it like brushing your teeth?
I no longer see my scars after 1 year. I will be doing a nose Q&A live on my channel this Sunday so make sure you stay tuned and I'll answer any questions you've got 💖

Your nose looks amazing!! I have to ask tho first of all did you get dissolvable sutures inside your nose and did they fall of by themselves? And second of all were you worried that your nostrils weren’t even as you were recovering?
Thanks!!! No I only had one small incision that you can see in my other recovery videos and those stitches were taken out a week after cast removal! And yes like I say in this video my nostrils were uneven up until the 1 year mark but it didn’t bother me cause I knew it was swelling 🤗hope that helps and don’t forget to subscribe x

Thank you in advance if you take your time to share your experience, I literally have no one to ask personally.

I can relate.. im going through the same problem now. 6 months post op. Different nostrils size. Overall nostrils size are big and noticeable i can’t look straight in the mirror. 🙌 prettiest nose ever 🥰 I cannot wait to get to the 1 year post op point! 😂🥰 X
@@stacylondon123 as thank you so much 🥰🥰🥰
Just got my rhino/septoplasty done a couple days ago, and it’s definitely been one of the most difficult experiences I’ve ever faced in my life.
I’m not even considering getting a rhinoplasty but your videos are so informative!
awww thank you! means a lot! Don't forget to subscribe 💖
@@nurguleysacar2663 thanks for the reply! This will be a revision he will improve my breathing and also do a rhino… hence it will be long… at moments I feel calm and at moments I feel loads of panic, but I can live with a swollen nose if the end result is going to be good….I think he is very good, and thank you for the reassurance, I’m sure you look fantastic
@@rinisix4243 omg i swear i was the same, i literally wanted to cry after cast removal , was texting everyone how bad it’s going to look ik the end, and that it’s going to be uglier then before😫😂 I had a septo-rhinoplasty, i can show you some pictures if you like
@@nurguleysacar2663 if you could show me the pictures it would be great I don’t have Instagram as I am older but as much as I trust this dr I am also afraid, as the operation will be lengthy, and is a revision but I think he is very good….. and I am sure you look fantastic and it was worth it! I’m due to be operated in 1.5 months….thanks again for the reassurance!

All the best for you ✨
@@leae.3191 thank you.. I am into week 3; I have to be patient.. the tip is completely numb yes, I am positive … thank you 🙏🏻 you 🙏🏻☺️
I just had mine done Dec 1, thank you for all your help and tips🙏🏽

You're nose is so cute! Thanks for sharing!
Thanks so much 🩷 hope you subscribe to support my channel! And good luck on your nose journey
My septo and rhinoplasty was done a month ago and I found huge swelling on my nose ,tip is stiffed and little deviation in my nose I'm very nervous... Please help me
Thank you for sharing. Looks great. I hope you ignore any negative comments.
I had a nosejob in 2018, and the swelling never went down, Especially at the tip of the nose! So i actually had to have another nose job now, 2 weeks ago, and it’s allready much smaller than the first time. So sometimes you actually need a revision rhinoplasty🙉
Update?
You look amazing now !! Happy for your new perfect nose ! I decided to go this year for consultation. I don’t know if I understood but are you from Netherlands? Because I’m searching for surgeon in Netherlands. Could you give me some details about yours ? I really like your nose ! Greetings !
It’s beautiful and you have the cutest dimples! 💕
awww thanks so much! Make sure you sub to my channel for weekly content 🥰
oh my god i got my cast off 5 days ago and have been crying every day since. i personally am not happy with how thick/wide the bridge of my nose is. everyone always talks about the tip taking the longest to recover from swelling, but can you say maybe approx how long it took for the bridge of your nose to see a swelling decrease?? im freaking out and it would be good to know if i still have to wait some more weeks or if this really is just what my surgeon did and i have to accept it…
How did it come out
Girl I watched your rhinoplasty journey and I’m going through it omg it’s 1 months and I can’t deal with it it’s too high and idk what to do .😭😭😭

I’m on month four and can’t wait to see my results in a year❤️
I’m the same as you. So ready to see at a year. I still hate how mine looks right now
@@deel3481 any updates?
@@reme9404 it’s still a work in progress. It got SO much better but I still have 4.5 months to go and am hoping my nose takes it’s final shape at my one year mark. I still have days of swelling and it’s an entire mental adjustment especially when looking at my old photos. I don’t hate it right now but I don’t love it either. It’s weird. It changes every single day. I hope in a few months my final result makes me happy.
How much did it change from month 6 to 1 year?
Do you breath better now?? Are you more congested or lestt after the surgery?

I was also in Marbella 4 weeks after ny surgery, you can watch the vlog here: th-cam.com/video/4H2AVUEKaOA/w-d-xo.html
where I talk about ny nose in the sun a bit and you can see that my nose wasn’t much bigger it just felt slightly larger some days. Really varied. Hope that helps ! And good luck with your recovery
Question
How long did you wear that cast after you removed it
Like at night ?
@@its.nathalievictoria .....Thank you for all your advise...lots of love....❤
Did your nose swallow in certain situations? During period or summer? If it is, does it will go?
I dont want my tip to "drop" though... I'm 6 weeks post op and I love where my tip is. I asked my surgeon on cast off day if the tip would "drop" He told me no. So hoping thats not the case. Your results are beautiful though.
So helpful!! What about working out or exercising? Thanks
I'm glad! Watch my full experience vlogs for more daily insights! I wouldn't recommend exercising the first 2 weeks as you might feel light headed (thats how I felt anyways when I over-exerted myself) But just listen to your body! Good luck and don't forget to subscibe to my channel 💖
Do your eyes changed because of swelling? Did they came back to normal?
Nathalie can you get the hump removed, but leave the tip??
..as a man i would not like my nose tipped up or 'piggy' or too symetrical' and perfect..
or dose the surgeon just do what he thinks ??
Was your surgeon a plastic surgeon or an ENT? I’m having trouble deciding which is the better way to go?
Thanks
Ps
I am so glad you mentioned the bruising on your nose because so many videos I have come across show a perfect nose right after the cast is taken off, yours show the real truth. Also, how was it like brushing your teeth?
Aren’t you worried about little bump on the bridge? I’m scared my won’t go away :( I’m at my 3 months post op
Yours still looked straight after, I still have bump on dorsum 😢
Does scar of stiches will be visible, and if yes then how much percent

Hi, which clinic did you use? Who was your surgeon?
does she talk about price/what surgeon she visited?
Your nose looks amazing!! I have to ask tho first of all did you get dissolvable sutures inside your nose and did they fall of by themselves? And second of all were you worried that your nostrils weren’t even as you were recovering?
Thanks!!! No I only had one small incision that you can see in my other recovery videos and those stitches were taken out a week after cast removal! And yes like I say in this video my nostrils were uneven up until the 1 year mark but it didn’t bother me cause I knew it was swelling 🤗hope that helps and don’t forget to subscribe x

Hope for you too!! I’ll be doing a live Q&A this Sunday at 4pm GMT in my channel so if you do have any questions / wanna hear other people’s experiences drop in 😍
Uff could anyone tell me a straight up comment based on their experience pleaseee!!
I am 6 months post op and my inflammation fluctuates a lot but my tip still huge and I have gotten two corticosteroids shots already by the doctor. Apparently I am thick skin type, also one nostril looks diff than the other! Depressing! I want to know if from 6 months to a year, my nose will improve significantly or just slightly?
Thank you in advance if you take your time to share your experience, I literally have no one to ask personally.

I can relate.. im going through the same problem now. 6 months post op. Different nostrils size. Overall nostrils size are big and noticeable i can’t look straight in the mirror.
