I'm happy to say I really enjoyed this finale! This wasn't my favorite episode of the season, but I think it was a great and fun way to end the season and leave the door open for a 3rd season, which we know is coming! 8/10! Overall, though, this season was phenomenal! 9.5/10 for the whole season! I would also like to say I think Doctor Strange still being evil does make sense. His ark completed after his first episode in every other appearance he has made has just been bonus time, I think. After the season 1 finale, he had to watch over villains for the rest of Eternity all by himself with no real way to address his grief or any of the traumatic things he's gone through properly. He has also absorbed the most evil beings, not existence, and over time, that would slowly corrupt his mind even worse. After the end of season 1 with no proper way to address everything that is wrong with him while being isolated from the rest of the world, it would only make sense to relapse back into his worst ways.
The final battle was terrible, this girls had a really huge plot armor. And the fact they killed a character like Supreme Strange makes me extremely sad. He had so much potential for the future series
Peggie and Monster Dr. Strange falling down the forge while battling is a copycat of the scene in The Lord of the Rings where Gandalf and the Balrog freefall deep in the mines of Moria as they battle it out.
The strangest thing about.. Strange's plan was, It's a multiverse, there are an infinite amount of universes, so an "smaller" infinite amount of universe killers, had he just targeted them, he would have been successful based off that alone.
Now for the real question: does What If take place before or after Loki? If before, then what was the Watcher’s perspective on the timeline bombing and the loom straight up exploding into the tree? If after, then did the Watcher ever go directly IN to the tree to see Loki inside?
Let's see, trying to recreate an entire universe because of grief and trying to get your imaginary kids from another universe by forcefully kidnapping them from their mother is not the same thing
*How did Carter wield every stone?* Peggy is wearing the Infinity Armor, which protects the Stone user from cosmic energy side effects when channeling multiple stones.
Supreme Strange was way too damn powerful. The human inside of him knew exactly who could stop him, he definitely saw billions of outcomes with his time stone and the watcher was impressed.
This episode was wild! But what I would like to see was all the heroes we met in the previous episodes helping Peggy and Kahhori in the final fight instead of them just helplessly falling to that forge.
The scene in the forge where the heroes kept dropping and then getting raised back up, reminded me of the scene in guardians 2 where Rocket used the antigravity mines to throw the ravagers up into the air again and again.

Dr. Strange upped his game here. And easily was taking on two extremely powerful beings one with all the infinity stones and more. With this knowledge, he would have easily been able to take down Infinity Ultron in S1
I thought the forge looked more like Kang’s multiversal engine core, personally. I also think the two Thor’s that collide midair looked like a regular Thor and a Loki Thor to me (Loki Thor on the left) and lastly that Asgardian Hulk is an actual character from the comics, he’s from the Banners of War run.
10:48 I would have thought Loki's what if here was what if Odin banished him to earth 150 years earlier to teach him a lesson and he ended up becoming a gun slinging vigilante in the mid west 😂
I like to think that at the end that butterfly in a way was Stephen, his butterflies were bluish teal in Infinity War, I like to also think he died good as that's what it shows as he falls down willingly with his demon, therefore the teal blue butterfly
I think when the watcher sent himself and carter to see the tree they werent actually in the space of where the tree was but instead was watching it from the outside like a window
The sanctum rather reminded me of the Citadel at the end of time, and I think they're rather similar in context as both are like outside space and time, and both Strange and Kang were living there in isolation, plus the color themes are kinda similar
i can see cowboy western loki super armor hulk white hair wenwu and cyborg rocket in season 3 same for the corvus grave one and that battle reminds me of the mortal kombat armageddon battle
I didn't watch the episode but I learnt so much about life with marvel. I'm sad Strange Supreme ended up like that, yet it's understandable. I'm so excited, hope what if goes on for long. It will be lovely if we see God of Stories Loki in next season!
at 17:46 Uatu glows with blue and purple tints - which match the colors at the tips of Yggdrasil's branches. Possibly signifying how he (the Watcher) and Loki are now working in tandem - Loki managing the timelines, and Uatu watches them to their "conclusions."
not only that but in “Across the Spiderverse”, Miguel unveils the “Archnahumanoid Watchamacallit” in the image or a branch growing upwards and spawning branches. We saw Andrew Garfield’s Uncle Ben moment, meaning that, that storyline which also ties into NWH, WHICH MEANS IT ALL COMES TOGETHER I LOVE IT
The thought of Peggy just drinking up 80s and 90s movies between missions makes me chuckle. "Peggy, Fury's got a mission for us." "Bollocks, I wasn't finished with Home Alone!"
He isn’t “god of stories” Loki. MCU Loki shares the role of the “galactic custodian” in the comics. Comics explained did a video on this. I wouldn’t have known better either without the video so I’m not bitter but calling him god of stories is like calling infinity war Thor “rune-king Thor”. God of stories chills in a library and writes thing into reality. MCU Loki bound multiverses to his essence to prevent them from dying and holds the multiverse together. What traits do they share with each other besides “they’re the most powerful versions of current Loki” ?
I don’t know why, but the way the Hela variant and the Surtur variant looked at each other made me question if somehow they were the main universe variants
I don't know if it was intentional, but the butterfly in the illusion cast by Strange reminds me of the butterfly in Life is Strange. Also, the blue and orange portals has to be a reference to Portal. Kahhori was really thinking with portals! 😄
fun episode, but the only thing that almost ruins it is how op kahori and carter become. If they can beat supreme strange I cant see how anyone else like kang or even doom, can threaten them.
Or how they can just sweep people with all infinity stones with minimal effort despite them being damaged by much less stuff throughout the series. But hey, marvel writers don't care about consistency
Kahhori speeding around Captain Carter in the beginning also reminded me of Doctor Strange 2 when Strange and America Chavez are strolling around a city in one of the destroyed universes.

Thulk?
@@Darth_Raider8140 THULK ZAAAAP!!!
10:48 I would have thought Loki's what if here was what if Odin banished him to earth 150 years earlier to teach him a lesson and he ended up becoming a gun slinging vigilante in the mid west 😂
I love that idea! 😂 him just wreaking havoc as a lil cowboy in the Wild West 😂
Funny you didn't think of Kang's Multiversal Engine Core when you saw Sinister Strange's Forge, especially given it's extra-universal nature.
The sanctum rather reminded me of the Citadel at the end of time, and I think they're rather similar in context as both are like outside space and time, and both Strange and Kang were living there in isolation, plus the color themes are kinda similar
who wouldve thought, Loki becoming the most powerful being in the MCU. a glorious purpose indeed.
i can see cowboy western loki super armor hulk white hair wenwu and cyborg rocket in season 3 same for the corvus grave one and that battle reminds me of the mortal kombat armageddon battle
I didn't watch the episode but I learnt so much about life with marvel. I think if anyone cares about the deeper meanings of things we can learn in real life from movies then we will really all grow I appreciate everyone that does this videos and everyone who comments and everything about art I'm general. Thank you to all artists and creators for giving us stories, and emotions, feelings and hopefully in some way the meaning of life
The episode was crazy and felt like a fever dream, that fight was so cool. Captain Carter feels like the face of What if with watcher! I'm sad Strange Supreme ended up like that, yet it's understandable. I'm so excited, hope what if goes on for long. It will be lovely if we see God of Stories Loki in next season!
Strange sacrificed his life to built his universe, that's the universe watcher showed peggi, it's not a different universe
From dad to dad I can see you’re tired af Erick, so kudos to you for doing this for us!
at 17:46 Uatu glows with blue and purple tints - which match the colors at the tips of Yggdrasil's branches. Possibly signifying how he (the Watcher) and Loki are now working in tandem - Loki managing the timelines, and Uatu watches them to their "conclusions."
Watching these multiverse stories only makes me want Majors' Kang more
Despite supreme strange being selfish , I always wanted him to win against Kahoori and against captain carter . RIP mighty supreme strange .
starange can destroy Thors hammer and cant do shit to captains sheildd. marvel logic
If the Watcher could see God of Stories Loki then does the TVA know about his existence ?
not only that but in “Across the Spiderverse”, Miguel unveils the “Archnahumanoid Watchamacallit” in the image or a branch growing upwards and spawning branches. We saw Andrew Garfield’s Uncle Ben moment, meaning that, that storyline which also ties into NWH, WHICH MEANS IT ALL COMES TOGETHER I LOVE IT
What If has been so rewarding to watch - thanks for these walk throughs!
The thought of Peggy just drinking up 80s and 90s movies between missions makes me chuckle.
"Peggy, Fury's got a mission for us."
"Bollocks, I wasn't finished with Home Alone!"
What If is so good. Marvel Studios needs to bring the magic back to the live action films.
I wish they'd explain why *this* Watcher in particular is the only one we see in the series and no other Watchers seem to be around
I ABSOLUTELY loved this video but when are we going to get a “Boom you looking for this”?? And What If season 2 was amazing
I don’t know why, but the way the Hela variant and the Surtur variant looked at each other made me question if somehow they were the main universe variants
Yea....as soon as he said "cross my heart" I knew he for sure was up to no good
The armored Hulk is Thulk from the comics
Say… if the watcher is involved in these universes, does that mean there’s alternate dimensions of the watcher? With watchers watching the watcher?
Kahhori speeding around Captain Carter in the beginning also reminded me of Doctor Strange 2 when Strange and America Chavez are strolling around a city in one of the destroyed universes.
Love this finale ,and particularly this season of what if it was great i felt like now they actually had a good foundation from what they set up from season one.
But this finale felt like the real multiverse of madness with how so much was going on i cannot wait for season 3 but that ending was literally whoa with the world tree ,snd everything.
This season felt more like a captain Carter season
Season 2 of What If was AWESOME!! Speedy recovery Jessica!🥰
12:57 can’t believe you didn’t mention a plot hole as to the infinity stones don’t work in other universes except their own, and here we see killmonger and thanos using it at the same time
in the mcu, they’ve never explicitly stated that the stones only work in their home universe, the comics have that rule though. the closest thing we have to that rule in the mcu is the stones not working in the TVA, because of the magic dampener that was in season 2 of Loki
@@liamfrr that and when the fans were pointing this out, A.C Bradley tweeted about this “plot hole” after what if S1 finale that ultron was powering himself and punching across the universe therefore connecting the universes (that’s just bs). So yes, it doesn’t work, MCU or not
@@xoxopaul7088 it has never been stated, quit the cope making bs up to call plot holes
12:18 I also recognize this zombie is because that bearded one in particular was the one who infected giant wasp/hope
dr strange did dirty
