Not enough people are talking about that evil Mark we saw, I definitely would want our Mark and evil Mark to battle or at least talk to each other. But since Angstrom is dead probably not. Also although it was a backseat this episode, MonstergirlxRudy and KatexImmortal shippers got something as well. Not a lot of Eve and Mark this season, but we'll probably get more in season 3.
The villain was underwhelming. After all the time that has passed and his huge bulging brain, you'd think he'd come up with a better plan than allat. But I heard it's not over from a comic reader, so I'll reserve my judgement

I CANNOT stress enough how much I appreciate that they fleshed out Angstrom's hate towards Mark in the show. Seeing Sinister Mark kill a KID was very shocking. Like DAMN.
Yeah, they did great with making Angstrom sympathetic while at the same time making his final defeat cathartic and well-deserved. He clearly wasn’t right in the head in the slightest, and as the Mauler Twin said after the accident, he perceived ALL of his other selves’ memories as being his own. So he was basically suffering from the trauma of seeing friends and loved ones slaughtered times a thousand. That’d make anyone insane. And it’s safe to assume that at least a couple of his other selves went full unfettered Billy Butcher mode in trying to get payback on the Invincibles that wronged them, and inheriting those sorts of memories as well and thinking of them as his own would’ve certainly warped his personality for the worse.

I love how Kate Prime has a zero on her logo, which is perfectly symbolic. All her clones have a number so they can tell them apart, and we all thought that the original Kate was number one because that is how we count, from one upwards, we don't count the zero, we know it's there, we know it exists, but we don't acknowledge it, just like Kate Prime
A programmer could have noticed. Programmers index from 0 because the number is the distance away from the starting position. Her numbers basically work the same where the number is the clones after the original.

"I thought you were stronger." That line really hit me. The whole Mark and Levi fight was so good. This was a great season finale. I can't believe they left us on a cliffhanger with Mark and Eve, though.
“If the bad guys die instead of the good guys I call that a victory.” That one line sums up Cecil’s character perfectly. This season really did a great job at showing the consequences of working for someone like Cecil. Almost everyone was getting tired of his shit this season. Mark, the immortal, and even Donald. He has good intentions but he’ll do whatever is necessary to protect the earth even if it means doing some of the most cut throat shit imaginable. And given what I know what happens with him later in the comics I say they are handling the buildup to him and mark budding heads over their ideals really well
"I'll make a deal with the devil if it means keeping this planet safe" I'd say the statement isn't quite hitting the nail on the head, after all, if he can use the bad guys when they're alive it's all the better for him
tangentially related, but it intrigues me how they've changed D.A. Sinclair to be less sympathetic in the show, it seems Cecil doesn't even want to look him in the eyes, I wonder how that will affect what's going to happen next season

This episode I literally yelled out loud "Debbie is such a badass!" when she flung to catch Oliver. That woman had a Deku "my body just moved on it's own" moment so quickly that she knocked over a chair. She may not be a superhero but she absolutely has the spirit of one.
Honestly, Debbie is the real MVP of this cartoon. In Invincible I tend to kind of prefer the comic characterization, but Debbie is the best example of turning her from a supporting character to now being a lead character who is even more admirable and brave than she was in the comics.

Now this really put context why Levy is incredibly hating Invincible. Almost all his memories is having meet evil Invincible. The comic never tell much and just kinda show him to be hating Invincible.
I watched this episode with my dad as I have the entire show and immediately when mark went " I thought you were stronger" my dad instantly said "he's talking about himself more than he is angstrom"
One thing I think the show does worse then the comic is explaining how long Mark was gone from his PoV. You said to him, it just happened like an hour ago. But each time Mark was thrown into another portal, he was in that universe longer and longer each time. Levy was trying to wear him out. From Levy's pov, it was only moments. For Mark, he was gone for days each time. Maybe even months. It's why he goes through so many emotions each time he comes back. He's pissed at Levy, yes, but he has time to think between every trip.
They couldn't even use the beard growing trick! I thought it was hours, maybe a day or two at most (mainly because of the couple chats he had on the other side with the campers and the flying rat man). They definitely could have made that more clear maybe by showing day/night timelapse on at least one of them.

You know, if you read the comics, you'll find they're playing everything pretty straight. Including the Angstrom, Mark stranded, and how he's rescued stuff. As well as dupliKate surviving. The Amber and Eve stuff, they seem to be taking certain liberties with. Except for her older self confessing. That was there and happened that way. All that said, loved the show, and love the videos. So excited to wait another 3 years for season 3.
We'll definitely be getting season 3 a lot sooner than that. Some are suggesting we could see the show come back as early as late this year, early next, but I'd be shocked if we had to wait more than a year to a year and a half.
I have to admit. As someone who hates rewriting characters to "fit a modern audience" or "representation" instead of you know, creating a new work of fiction instead of colonizing an existing one. Even though the new version of Amber is quite literally everything I dislike about the latest wave feminism movement, woke Amber is a better character than Canon Amber. Woke Amber, unlike most woke people in real life, actually walks the walk and takes responsibilities for her own actions instead of expecting everyone else to take responsibility for her. Best of all, Even though Woke Amber displays many traits I dislike, they don't overshadow and take over the story. Mark is still Mark and and the show is still about Invincible instead of about Amber. It is very different from what happened to He Man recently.
I didn't read the comic, but I still saw it coming. As soon as Angstrom talked about his improved body my only thought was; 'oh honey, Mark's a Viltrumite.'
I love that they show so much of Mark and Debbie. Debbie is a great mom. We don't really see too many talks with mom in superhero stories, and I'm glad she is so strong and loving.

I personally think all these shows are suffering from Amazon’s 8 episode limit. Thats not enough time to get everything across that needs to be before the finale. At least for the story that Invincible is trying to tell. Same with Hazbin Hotel. I feel the pacing would be better if these shows had a bigger time frame to work with.
Well I do agree that 8 episodes is too short but I don't think they have enough budget. Invincible comic is a long series as it is so Robert Kirkman has to cram in everything that he can. There's a lot of things happened in the comic that wouldn't just fit in the series. I do.have to give credit where credit is due, while it may happened so fast it still tell the same story as the comic did, the episode just summarize what happened to the comics.
I have to agree is the fact of working w Budget that most shows are 8 EP a season. Specially with the quality of animation being out by Western animes. Look at animes that keep going. Even with major series like Dragonball Super you end up with some episodes that are super rushed, and the animation looks like turbo ass.
It was. I just wish Marvel would have let them do an actual Spuder-Man cameo like in the comic. I would have even preferred that scene to he completely removed so they could expand on other parts of the story, then give another special episode where we could get a dedicated Invincible/Spider-Man crossover.
One thing I'm really intrigued by that most people don't seem to be talking about is Evil Debbie. Levy straight up says how in most other realities Debbie supported her husband and son in their conquest. Like HUH? I kind of just assumed she died or wasnt around as much in those other realities. I'm sooo interested in this idea but I doubt they'll elaborate on it. Especially since Levy is a puddle now lol
right like how does that even happen?? in EVERY other universe? for me, it kind of undermines mark's whole schtick of being "the only good invincible among a sea of bad." If his mom was a human hating genocidal maniac in all those other universes, I guess it just makes sense Mark would too.
He doesn't say every universe, he just says in many. Given that Debbie was Mark and Nolan's moral center, if they both turned out evil, it's only logical that she isn't as morally upright in those universes. Furthermore, what can Debbie really do to help them. Most likely she just supports her family because they're her family.

The best part for me was mark constantly talking to himself after the fight with angstrom. You can see exactly the turmoil that’s going on in his head. He’s trying to make himself feel Better but by doing so he feels disgusted by himself, since it’s what Omni man wouldve done in his place. And to me, Levi was like ASM2 electro done right. A seemingly nobody that’s frustrated that the hero doesn’t remember him. He WANTS to be important, he wants to prove himself the better man by projecting all his own evil on mark not realizing he’s become the villain.
I just can't possibly explain how goated this show is. It's just perfect in every way. I hate that we have to wait another 2 years (or smth like that) for next season...
I thought it was odd when Kate “died” that she didn’t have a reserve copy of herself somewhere just in case. Turns out she did and survived to hopefully enjoy retirement. Also, thank you for reminding us that Immortal is canonically Abraham Lincoln. Oddly enough, he put Mary Todd Lincoln through similar grief that he went through when he “died” to John Wilkes Booth. Poor woman never recovered from all the loss she suffered.
Yeah, season 2 was ALL cliffhangers. There is so much I want to say, but I can't spoil anything because I want the show-watchers to get their day in the sun regarding the shock and awe of next season.

Not a comic spoiler, but they actually changed the order of events a tad here. In the comic Mark broke up with Amber AFTER future Eve told him how she felt, not before.
Oh I kind of like that order better. It’s even more conflict on Mark’s conscience to break up with Amber if he fears he’s doing it just because a future Eve confessed her feelings for him.

In the comic, it really feels like him breaking up with Amber is a plot point that Kirkman had written down and then forgot about for a while until Mark fights Angstrom, as opposed to the slow burn where we realize "Oh, these two just... can't work, can they" that the show has.

Genuinely, I think Angstrom thought this Mark would be the easiest to get his revenge on. The one that's "soft". The one that's "weak". The one that didn't side with his father.
Oliver, just a little baby crying over Debbie was such a good way to make us hate Levy, a guy who sees himself as an all powerful being, threatening to hurt a harmless child and woman while avoiding the actual threat to his life. Duplikates reveal was... something. It felt like a "oh yeah, this..." rather than a grand reveal. Granted I know she survived from comics, but man, that could've been its own thing - the potential for an episode exploring her, explaining, and giving her a sense of life would've been cool. Because outside the mainstays, she's there. Not knocking her, but she's the definition of there. If we can get Levy explored and showing his rage. His alternate lives experiencing pain...? Why not her...?
I can't wait for season 3. I'll probably read through all the comics because I need more and also enjoy seeing differences between adaptation and original
If you feel the lack of emotion or the lack of that action from this season then do not fear. As a comic book reader this will only be the tip of the iceberg and I can confidently say from here on it's gonna be a bloodbath of a show. Picture this like the calm of the storm in a sort of way, whether they're dealing with Freddie mercury or a Dino man it's gonna be wonderful to watch most of this series finally be animated for the world to see.

About the Mark and Eve thing, in the comics, Mark and Amber were STILL together, when they start to get close, and Amber was seeing someone else on the side... Yeah, the comics make Mark and Amber look REAAAAAL bad, so this change is the best possible thing they could do. Oh yeah, The Ko-Hor mummy thing is show original, and it's just using Chloe Bennet and Ella Purnell in very small cameo.
My parents and I love Invincible and cannot wait another two years. We theorize that it will take another seven seasons to cover the rest of the comics. Or they could cut off the original ideas for pacing. I remember wanting Invincible and Arcane to air in the same year they had their first season. I obviously didn’t know how much time animation takes.
Just gotta say the Steven Yeun absolutely made evey scene amazing. I would put him up with the best voice actors ever. Invincible wouldn't be as good as it is without Steven Yeun. The amount of emotions when he is talking to himself is absolutely amazing. I will always remember his name now and after invincible and watch anything he does. Dont get my wrong all the voice actors are amazing but Steven as Mark is next level voice acting.
If you think the Mark-Eve speed running was a problem here, you should’ve seen what happened in the comics. She literally waited until Mark was available and said: “We’re dating now, deal with it.”
Yea comics were waaay more lighthearted and jokey with it, so I like the new way they did it. Also he broke up with Amber before old Eve tells him her feelings instead of after, which doesn’t cheapen their entire relationship as much. The growth in the show has been phenomenal
The villain, big bad etc of season two IS MARK. It’s what he could very easily become. He’s earth shatteringly powerful if he snaps. That’s what they were getting at with all the evil marks.
whats funny is in the comics, the second Amber and Mark stop dating Eve shows up and basically asks Mark "so we fuckin or what", like instant she hears about it but the show is taking its time on that
So mark getting saved is exactly what happens in the comics and ssme for what eve says. To her its been 20 years of regret and she doesn't want the sams for his eve. Plus thats the only realistic way mark could have escaped.
A dues ex machina isn’t made better if it’s the only possible way the conflict could be resolved, it’s one of the reasons we should avoid them. Situations should have a set up that don’t necessitate a DEM to deliver a more satisfying resolution.
Debbie in this season was amazing to me. I really enjoy her character. I real mom who loves and sacrifices for her kids but is stills self sufficient and strong. She is one of the stand outs to the show for me. Her fighting for oliver and sacrificing herself to care for a kid that wasnt even hers. I loved her this season.
The funniest thing in this episode is Future Eve tells Mark to tell present Eve whether he loves her or not so she can *move on with her life* , and just like Eve's advice about Amber he *does not* take her advice! What will it take for him to listen to Eve?! 😂😂😂
The season overall is so weird to me. It feels like very little happened while also so much happened. I think the best way to describe the season. Is that it's a season about set up and fleshing things out rather than massive pay offs. Whether that be side characters or just the universe in general. I'm all for that. I wish we just got anything with Angstrom in between the premiere and finale. Like every episode I just asked my brother "Are we gonna see that multi-verse guy again?". Dude disappeared for like 6 episodes after being the protagonist of episode 1. I would have liked to see his decent more rather than them having to cram it all into one episode. Not even saying it's bad because holy it was so damn good and on a rewatch this problem won't be as bad. The short hiatus the show took made me almost forget about him.
One aspect of ep8 ending that I noticed is that Mark, Debbie and Nolen all have their right eye swollen. I see it as a damaged link to them and even though Nolen doesn't feel like he belongs, he still part of the family and needs to take responsibility for his actions instead of running away.
I actually read the scene as Rex acting like robot because it makes more sense for Robot to have access to dimension hopping and time travel instead of Rex. I haven’t read the comics or anything so I’d
7:50 I don't mind the way season 2 ended. I mean it would be hard to out perform season 1. Not yet anyways. In order to do that you would need to plant the seeds necessary to pull that of. So i'll wait and let skybound cook.
The finale was so engaging despite being a comic reader, and I knew Steven Yeun would bring his A-game for this episode like he did for last season and the earlier episodes of season 2, but he was just amazing, I felt his rage and sadness at all that happened in the season. Overall, I liked this season and I’m excited for the next one, preferably without the mid-season break, although that isn’t an unpopular opinion.
This season had the same vibe as the early seasons of Game of Thrones. It feels like it was just broadening its horizons and setting up for whats to come. The result is that it felt a little less focused, but that it was necessary preamble for things to come.
After rewatching s1, at some point clone number 1 goes missing and the team asked where she was. The clones said they could handle it, and it was never addressed again. If you payed real close attention the clue was their but i didnt notice before the reveal.
I also thought the line “I thought you were stronger” was him convincing himself that he didn’t mean to kill Angstrom. That he didn’t want to kill him. But he knows he’s lying to himself.
Two things I really wish we did get to see in this episode were: Angstrom seeing at least one more good Mark. In the first episode when talking with the Maulers, he says “in most other dimensions” Invincible teams up with Omni-man, and we only ever see Angstrom’s visions of evil Mark. I think it would’ve been neat and compelling to see another good Mark to make his conflict with his memories even stronger, especially considering this Angstrom did truly try to save Mark from the Maulers in the first episode. The other thing I wish we got to see is Mark being confronted with an evil version of himself, to see and know what he had become in other universes, would’ve been pretty wild to see how that would screw with his mind, but considering how badly he was affected by killing Angstrom, I think that was pretty good enough.
Mark is canonically the only invincible to be good or survive Omni man’s fight, which is why most of his memories come from evil invincibles because the rest are dead.
theres so much they're setting up that people are forgetting and ignoring the core aspects of this season alone like how angstrom waswnt in it alot was the point that hes just some guy to mark dealing with threats in space while angstroms whole life revoles around mark. Mark beating angstrom the same way omniman beat him tearinh down the while idea that mark isint his dad. while also setting things up for the next season and for future events
i believe that most of the season 2 finale is just a build up to all of season 3, which is why season 3 (when it does come out) is going to be amazing and be just as good as season 1
I wish we got at least a full episode of Mark lost in a wasteland dealing with his internal breakdown, or a time skip of him of living sole with his problems of more than 2 mins.

I like how it was already a meme line before Season 2 even came out, Lego Shee.
“If the bad guys die instead of the good guys I call that a victory.” That one line sums up Cecil’s character perfectly. This season really did a great job at showing the consequences of working for someone like Cecil. Almost everyone was getting tired of his shit this season. Mark, the immortal, and even Donald.
He has good intentions but he’ll do whatever is necessary to protect the earth even if it means doing some of the most cut throat shit imaginable. And given what I know what happens with him later in the comics I say they are handling the buildup to him and mark budding heads over their ideals really well

I'd say the statement isn't quite hitting the nail on the head, after all, if he can use the bad guys when they're alive it's all the better for him
tangentially related, but it intrigues me how they've changed D.A. Sinclair to be less sympathetic in the show, it seems Cecil doesn't even want to look him in the eyes, I wonder how that will affect what's going to happen next season

This episode I literally yelled out loud "Debbie is such a badass!" when she flung to catch Oliver. That woman had a Deku "my body just moved on it's own" moment so quickly that she knocked over a chair. She may not be a superhero but she absolutely has the spirit of one.

Honestly, Debbie is the real MVP of this cartoon. In Invincible I tend to kind of prefer the comic characterization, but Debbie is the best example of turning her from a supporting character to now being a lead character who is even more admirable and brave than she was in the comics.

One thing I think the show does worse then the comic is explaining how long Mark was gone from his PoV. You said to him, it just happened like an hour ago. But each time Mark was thrown into another portal, he was in that universe longer and longer each time. Levy was trying to wear him out. From Levy's pov, it was only moments. For Mark, he was gone for days each time. Maybe even months. It's why he goes through so many emotions each time he comes back. He's pissed at Levy, yes, but he has time to think between every trip.
They couldn't even use the beard growing trick! I thought it was hours, maybe a day or two at most (mainly because of the couple chats he had on the other side with the campers and the flying rat man). They definitely could have made that more clear maybe by showing day/night timelapse on at least one of them.

You know, if you read the comics, you'll find they're playing everything pretty straight. Including the Angstrom, Mark stranded, and how he's rescued stuff. As well as dupliKate surviving. The Amber and Eve stuff, they seem to be taking certain liberties with. Except for her older self confessing. That was there and happened that way. All that said, loved the show, and love the videos. So excited to wait another 3 years for season 3.
Also IIRC the older Eve confession in the comics happened before Amber and Mark broke up.
We'll definitely be getting season 3 a lot sooner than that. Some are suggesting we could see the show come back as early as late this year, early next, but I'd be shocked if we had to wait more than a year to a year and a half.

I have to admit. As someone who hates rewriting characters to "fit a modern audience" or "representation" instead of you know, creating a new work of fiction instead of colonizing an existing one. Even though the new version of Amber is quite literally everything I dislike about the latest wave feminism movement, woke Amber is a better character than Canon Amber. Woke Amber, unlike most woke people in real life, actually walks the walk and takes responsibilities for her own actions instead of expecting everyone else to take responsibility for her.
Best of all, Even though Woke Amber displays many traits I dislike, they don't overshadow and take over the story. Mark is still Mark and and the show is still about Invincible instead of about Amber. It is very different from what happened to He Man recently.

I personally think all these shows are suffering from Amazon’s 8 episode limit. Thats not enough time to get everything across that needs to be before the finale. At least for the story that Invincible is trying to tell. Same with Hazbin Hotel. I feel the pacing would be better if these shows had a bigger time frame to work with.

Well I do agree that 8 episodes is too short but I don't think they have enough budget. Invincible comic is a long series as it is so Robert Kirkman has to cram in everything that he can. There's a lot of things happened in the comic that wouldn't just fit in the series. I do.have to give credit where credit is due, while it may happened so fast it still tell the same story as the comic did, the episode just summarize what happened to the comics.
Given how long it takes them to animate this show, any more than 8 episodes I feel would honestly expand the time between seasons by several months
I have to agree is the fact of working w Budget that most shows are 8 EP a season. Specially with the quality of animation being out by Western animes.
Look at animes that keep going. Even with major series like Dragonball Super you end up with some episodes that are super rushed, and the animation looks like turbo ass.

Not a comic spoiler, but they actually changed the order of events a tad here. In the comic Mark broke up with Amber AFTER future Eve told him how she felt, not before.
Oh I kind of like that order better. It’s even more conflict on Mark’s conscience to break up with Amber if he fears he’s doing it just because a future Eve confessed her feelings for him.

In the comic, it really feels like him breaking up with Amber is a plot point that Kirkman had written down and then forgot about for a while until Mark fights Angstrom, as opposed to the slow burn where we realize "Oh, these two just... can't work, can they" that the show has.

It felt like a "oh yeah, this..." rather than a grand reveal. Granted I know she survived from comics, but man, that could've been its own thing - the potential for an episode exploring her, explaining, and giving her a sense of life would've been cool. Because outside the mainstays, she's there. Not knocking her, but she's the definition of there.
If we can get Levy explored and showing his rage. His alternate lives experiencing pain...? Why not her...?

If you feel the lack of emotion or the lack of that action from this season then do not fear. As a comic book reader this will only be the tip of the iceberg and I can confidently say from here on it's gonna be a bloodbath of a show. Picture this like the calm of the storm in a sort of way, whether they're dealing with Freddie mercury or a Dino man it's gonna be wonderful to watch most of this series finally be animated for the world to see.

About the Mark and Eve thing, in the comics, Mark and Amber were STILL together, when they start to get close, and Amber was seeing someone else on the side... Yeah, the comics make Mark and Amber look REAAAAAL bad, so this change is the best possible thing they could do.
Oh yeah, The Ko-Hor mummy thing is show original, and it's just using Chloe Bennet and Ella Purnell in very small cameo.
My parents and I love Invincible and cannot wait another two years. We theorize that it will take another seven seasons to cover the rest of the comics. Or they could cut off the original ideas for pacing. I remember wanting Invincible and Arcane to air in the same year they had their first season. I obviously didn’t know how much time animation takes.

Just gotta say the Steven Yeun absolutely made evey scene amazing. I would put him up with the best voice actors ever. Invincible wouldn't be as good as it is without Steven Yeun. The amount of emotions when he is talking to himself is absolutely amazing. I will always remember his name now and after invincible and watch anything he does. Dont get my wrong all the voice actors are amazing but Steven as Mark is next level voice acting.

Yea comics were waaay more lighthearted and jokey with it, so I like the new way they did it. Also he broke up with Amber before old Eve tells him her feelings instead of after, which doesn’t cheapen their entire relationship as much. The growth in the show has been phenomenal
The villain, big bad etc of season two IS MARK. It’s what he could very easily become. He’s earth shatteringly powerful if he snaps. That’s what they were getting at with all the evil marks.

So mark getting saved is exactly what happens in the comics and ssme for what eve says. To her its been 20 years of regret and she doesn't want the sams for his eve. Plus thats the only realistic way mark could have escaped.
A dues ex machina isn’t made better if it’s the only possible way the conflict could be resolved, it’s one of the reasons we should avoid them. Situations should have a set up that don’t necessitate a DEM to deliver a more satisfying resolution.

Debbie in this season was amazing to me. I really enjoy her character. I real mom who loves and sacrifices for her kids but is stills self sufficient and strong. She is one of the stand outs to the show for me. Her fighting for oliver and sacrificing herself to care for a kid that wasnt even hers. I loved her this season.

The season overall is so weird to me. It feels like very little happened while also so much happened. I think the best way to describe the season. Is that it's a season about set up and fleshing things out rather than massive pay offs. Whether that be side characters or just the universe in general. I'm all for that.
I wish we just got anything with Angstrom in between the premiere and finale. Like every episode I just asked my brother "Are we gonna see that multi-verse guy again?". Dude disappeared for like 6 episodes after being the protagonist of episode 1. I would have liked to see his decent more rather than them having to cram it all into one episode. Not even saying it's bad because holy it was so damn good and on a rewatch this problem won't be as bad. The short hiatus the show took made me almost forget about him.
One aspect of ep8 ending that I noticed is that Mark, Debbie and Nolen all have their right eye swollen. I see it as a damaged link to them and even though Nolen doesn't feel like he belongs, he still part of the family and needs to take responsibility for his actions instead of running away.
I actually read the scene as Rex acting like robot because it makes more sense for Robot to have access to dimension hopping and time travel instead of Rex. I haven’t read the comics or anything so I’d

The finale was so engaging despite being a comic reader, and I knew Steven Yeun would bring his A-game for this episode like he did for last season and the earlier episodes of season 2, but he was just amazing, I felt his rage and sadness at all that happened in the season.
Overall, I liked this season and I’m excited for the next one, preferably without the mid-season break, although that isn’t an unpopular opinion.
This season had the same vibe as the early seasons of Game of Thrones. It feels like it was just broadening its horizons and setting up for whats to come. The result is that it felt a little less focused, but that it was necessary preamble for things to come.

After rewatching s1, at some point clone number 1 goes missing and the team asked where she was. The clones said they could handle it, and it was never addressed again. If you payed real close attention the clue was their but i didnt notice before the reveal.
I also thought the line “I thought you were stronger” was him convincing himself that he didn’t mean to kill Angstrom. That he didn’t want to kill him.
But he knows he’s lying to himself.

Honestly, its really cool people are looking at the tv series and are finding all the really dark moments and analyzing them.
Two things I really wish we did get to see in this episode were:
Angstrom seeing at least one more good Mark. In the first episode when talking with the Maulers, he says “in most other dimensions” Invincible teams up with Omni-man, and we only ever see Angstrom’s visions of evil Mark. I think it would’ve been neat and compelling to see another good Mark to make his conflict with his memories even stronger, especially considering this Angstrom did truly try to save Mark from the Maulers in the first episode.
The other thing I wish we got to see is Mark being confronted with an evil version of himself, to see and know what he had become in other universes, would’ve been pretty wild to see how that would screw with his mind, but considering how badly he was affected by killing Angstrom, I think that was pretty good enough.
Mark is canonically the only invincible to be good or survive Omni man’s fight, which is why most of his memories come from evil invincibles because the rest are dead.
Is anyone else weirded out that 3 people ended the season with a right side black eye
theres so much they're setting up that people are forgetting and ignoring the core aspects of this season alone like how angstrom waswnt in it alot was the point that hes just some guy to mark dealing with threats in space while angstroms whole life revoles around mark. Mark beating angstrom the same way omniman beat him tearinh down the while idea that mark isint his dad. while also setting things up for the next season and for future events

i believe that most of the season 2 finale is just a build up to all of season 3, which is why season 3 (when it does come out) is going to be amazing and be just as good as season 1
I wish we got at least a full episode of Mark lost in a wasteland dealing with his internal breakdown, or a time skip of him of living sole with his problems of more than 2 mins.
