I like the sound profile of these, less harsh than usual, and yea fairly round like you said. The theme is cute, while not a personal favorite im glad that there are specialized themes like these because one day i might get a theme that is perfect for ME ^^ Thanks for the review!
Very nice switches! Sorta long and heavy throw. Seem very quality. So little wobble. Satisfying poppy clack on release. When you jumped to other brands from HMX in the sound test the difference was so noticeable. Gosh the Oil King is always so bad, hahaha.
@@4734291 They have been in use for a while now. Also, I don't feel the need to hassle with breaking in switches once I have better options from recent stock switches.
THOCC, I'm not going to lie. I only noticed that back of that box just now. I had to flip my box over to believe it. They put a picture of a duck's button on the packaging! Also, I agree. The HMX Sunset Gleam switches feel okay to type on. It sounds a little more muted compared to the Xinhai, Cheese, Hyacinth V2U and the V2. I use the Sunset Gleam on days where I want to have the slightly less full sounding clacky sound signature.
@@thoccnology I just noticed all of my typos, lol. Duck's buttocks* I was mainly using the Rainy 75 (purple pro) + HMX Sunset Gleam and the sound signature on this surprisingly sounds different than on the Rainy 75 (blue pro) even though they are the same Sunset Gleam switches. Have you tried the Hyacinth V2U HMX switches, yet? I swear they might capture that same type and feel you that were mentioning about the Vertex switches. They sound and feel so poppy. Also, they sound amazing on the Galaxy 80, using the Galaxy's native keycaps!
@@jprofessor321 Oh, yeah, pole vs. rail bottom-out makes surprisingly huge differences! I haven't tried the Hyacinth V2U - yet! I hope one day I can have a full HMX collection (but for that I have to keep up with their production haha!)
Same thoughts here! It's even more amusing when in the CN market they bear a different name, so it's impossible to find them on bilibili/zfrontier/etc. :/
Unfortunately I don't have wither the V2Us or the Cheese, but I heard a lot of sound tests and I really enjoy the rounded sound and type feel of the Sunset Gleam 3.9mm!

Wow, they really have a full spectrum, rounded sound and no harsh bottom out.
In every video, I really enjoy your switch comparisons.
Thank you so much!
@@thoccnology i would love to see a snow leopard theme personally :p but i think that would be pretty unlikely hehe
@@stellanova522 Aww, how cool - and majestic! 🤩
Love the way these sounds, and that switch sound comparison is super handy! 🌞
Thank you so much!
I really love the long pole version of these switches, wonder how many more full travel versions of hmx switches will be coming 👀
I hope quite a few! :]

Totally agree, hearing different brands side-by-side is so mind-blowing, it surprises me every time. (Especially the Oil Kings mwahaha >:))
Oil King need time to break in use SA cap on it.

Great work as always. Loving the sound and that packaging 👌👌👌👌

Hahaha, you almost missed out on the BEST part! :]
This rounded type feel is so refreshing, I'm falling into the full-travel loop again.

i love the fact that they have premium packaging, to save a bit of money for everyone
Agree, including storage containers is a genius - and thoughtful - idea! I wonder if they'll be stackable with some upcoming containers hihi
@@thoccnology exactly, wants to make me buy it haha
Love the switch sound comparison!!!
Thank you! So many choices now, including all HMX switches would result in a comparison as long as the review itself haha
Is this wholly unrelated to the BSUN Sunset Yellow lol. So many switches that share a name now!
Trying to navigate switch names on Aliexpress and to fugure out which one they are and who made them is a nightmare...

that intro to the music was like a sleeper agent trigger, i just saw the cocomelon intro appear before my eyes
Sunset Gleam vs V2U vs Cheese, which you prefer ? Thanks very much !
