I've had the 15 pro and Max .. then I had the 13 pro max, downgraded. Traded it for an s23 ultra .. no regrets .. this phone is dope 😊 watching and playing games on it is incredible. Zoom in on concerts and my son's games for pictures and video is amazing. Customization and features is in a league in its own. If you get one, won't be disappointed. Once RCS comes out, I'm android all day, goodbye Apple.
@@pac329 i felt the same buy i just use life 360 which is the same and works very well, and when it goes for facetime that might be the main issue since most people in america use facetime but whatsapp works well too since its what most people outside of america use to video call

I definitely agree on the battery side and charging, I know that some want to have a much faster charging on it, but the max 45 watts is already fast and good. I am using it in 1440p resolution with battery protect on, and still getting 6-7 hrs from 85% to 20%. The s23 Ultra by far is the best, and only the iPhone comes in second to it.

I love the S23 Ultra. It's my first big screen and Ultra phone. Way back in 2014-2015, I had the S5 and skipped both Note 3 and Note 4. In 2019, I skipped the Note 9 and didn't buy the S10+. I only chose the regular S10. I don't know but it seems I evolved to have bigger hands and smaller eyesight that I needed a much bigger screen. Hence, in 2023, I bought the S23 Ultra and it's the king of 2023! No regrets.
I bought this phone at the day of the start release and i love this phone but three months ago change it for iPhone 14 promax because of system. I still miss that Samsung and I want to go back but I don’t know what to choose.😂
S23 ultra is a beast phone. But i bought an iPhone 15 pro max and man, for me the camera is very important, especially the video camera; I think the iPhone is still a bit better and photos in a dark room are also better, I hope that the S24 ultra can creep closer.
I can tell you aren't a professionsl photographer (that's fine, it's one job amongst others), so as one I have to say you are wrong. Not because you picked S23U over 15PM, but because you did so for the wrong reasons. iPhone 15PM takes fantastic shots on auto, equal and sometimes even better than S23U. But... S23U offers manual controls out of the box (you can get that on iPhone, but you lose all the greatness that comes with the stock app) and so, it allows me to take photographs far greater than 15PM could ever do. RAW + Manual mode is something you can appreciate only when you know what you are doing, but some of the shots I've taken with S23U rival my professional full frame camera. Not even kidding, the camera system and software on S23U is that insane. That's not all. It's the only phone out there that can complete the shutter speed, ISO and aperture triangle. And it's thanks to the digital ND filter. It doesn't affect bokeh, but it does mimic what aperture can do for you in terms of light gathering. Bokeh is easy to handle with AI nowadays, so it's not a big deal. Speaking of which, it's the only phone out there that I don't feel the need to use a PC for post processing. I can create precise masks in Lightroom thanks to s-pen and/or dex mode. This makes all the difference, S23U is the first phone I've owned that I could have actually used all on its own for some of my professional gigs. Think about that - the phone is good enough to satisfy customer needs in professional photography. Neither Pixel nor iPhone can do this.
I agree with you. I'm using s23 ultra with light performance turned on and still work perfectly smooth and fine. after 9 months, of course, battery is degrading a little but i can still use it 2 days with normal routines (FB, YT, IG, Camera). @NaseemSpeach however I noticed the lip isn't that good on spigen cases. In fact no lip on the curved edges. So if you drop your phone on an even surface face down, it really won't survive
How do you think the 8gb 256gb varient will handle the upcoming years. My dad got it to me as my first phone on my birthday (I'm in high school) but he didn't know about the ram difference. I'm afraid that the new one ui version in the future will use too much ram
It’ll be fine. The wife’s S22U 8gb and Exynos is still powering along nicely. So the S23U will be good for a fair few years yet. I love mine, moved to Apple for a couple of years after the S9 and got the S23U back in February and it’s great to be back.
Dont worry, there is a ram plus feature on the new samsung phones which can use some of the internal storage and allocate that as ram, upto 8GB. Thus would mean if u turn on RAM Plus, ur s23 ultra would technically have 16GB of RAM
I got the S23 Ultra earlier this year, used it for about 4 months and then moved to the Pixel 8 Pro. I cannot stand the curved screen, and even worse, getting a screen protector for it. TPU protectors feel gross and do not offer that much protection. I hate having duplicate apps, and having to deal Samsung's Gallery for photos. I hate that the app drawer is organized horizontally. Battery life has been about the same with my Pixel 8 Pro, and I cannot live without Screen Calling at this point. Also, Bixby is HORRIBLE and pretty much useless. OneUI 6 is better than previous versions but it still does not feel cohesive enough for me. The 10X Zoom lens was definitely cool, but can't say that I miss it that much and the 5x on the P8P is enough for most cases, and I definitely like the speed of the main camera much more on the P8P, a lot less blurry photos. Faster charging was a definite plus on the S23U, but I am back to charge my phone overnight and it has been a non issue.
I adore my S23 Ultra. My only complaints would be that the speaker and s-pen should both be on the other side of the phone and i would still benefit from a port for a headphone jack. Other than that this phone is perfect for me
I'm surprised if you are using this phone that you didn't notice this phone heats up when you use the camera for around 5-10 minutes even when not taking photo/video. just camera in standby. also wireless charging heats up this phone.
I'm so glad to be skipping the S24 Ultra. I have plenty of money to purchase it. 24 ultra is just not enough going on for it for me to justify making the jump to 24 ultra. I can't be a fanboy also
Too big. Most people that bought it are not able to use it continuously. You use it for two days and you put it back again. It's always in the house, not in the pocket. And do you know that the S23 Fe speakers are better than the S23 Ultra?
Hate to say after 8 years good riddance samsung since android 14 ui 6.0 they pulled a apple on us never seen such a screwed up update this bad apple has had bad ones but samsung was the worst

I just claimed warranty after 2 months usage. CPU faulty then causes battery drain from 100% to 0% within 1 hour.

I completely agree about the speaker, the S-pen is just fine where it is imo
If you add a headphone jack then you compromise the battery capacity
