Yeah, don't see the point of it. If it was 24 hrs it would make a bit more sense but still pretty meh! Date would be much better but not sure if possible with this movement.
It's to fit the design of the Zenith, which has a 12 hours counter, that looks exactly the same. From a design perspective it does look good to me to have that subdial, otherwise it's just yet another panda dial number 1254 available on the market. And it keeps the exact same look as the Zenith, minus the odd looking date of the original ( which is a plus for me ). However I agree that on the Sugess, it's the most useless functionnality one could think of. I'm pretty sure there is a Seagull chrono movement with 3 subdials, and a 24h at 6...not a useful complication but better than this. I bet you they'll change the movement on their next batches.
I am SO glad I watched this. What should be the 12 hour totalizer at 6:00 is an even MORE USELESS sub dial than the “spelunker” by 24 hour dials sold on this cheap Chinese crap. Good review!
Homage or copy of Zenith El Primero Safari? It is not clear to me why this company Sugess is not able to design anything original. Or at least to take classic design elements in unique directions like Dan Henry.
