Thanks for telling me that the reason of the flash bar doesn’t fired because the electronic contact needed to be cleaned! And the way to clean is brilliant!

I thought my SX-70 Sonar AF was broken, but recently I’ve been using it and it works fine! Never knew that it could be a result of the battery depleting!

Why does it draw power in the open position?

How do you remove the sonar flash? It seems stuck and i don't want to force it out...

I have an old Polatronic flash system which I love because it looks rad BUT it tends to stop working (which then causes the sx-70 to not fire at all) after I carry it around set up (camera open) for an hour or so. I thought it was the flash being faulty but it may be that the battery pack in the film is kind of drained because the camera was open for so long?! Does this make sense? Also, just because I’m curious now, what is the f-stop when the flash is firing and the aorta tire stops down?

Has anyone else experienced this when trying to use the external sync function on the Mint Flashbar? I'm using a Neewer S101-400 strobe. I've tried connecting the flashbar to the remote trigger via a 2.5mm to 2.5mm cable and also directly to the strobe's sync port with a 2.5mm to 3.5mm cable. In both instances when I hit the test button on the flashbar it will fire the strobe. But also in both setups when I press the shutter button it only fires the flashbar and does not fire the external strobe. Any thoughts on what I'm doing wrong? I tried this with two cameras and both did the same thing.

Here's hoping someone (Chinese) start making these fantastic cameras again.
