I sold my first vertical debit spread on AAP. Bought 195 call at $6.63 ; sold 200 call at $4.19 that expired on July 16th. I just sold it today because AAP hit $210 and I was at 91% profit. Hi Tony, You always discuss break even, max loss and max profit based on expiration dates however the strategy is to always exit at 21 days. In that case you can actually be profitable at the break even price, right?

Since we collect very low premium on the sell, it only works when you are very accurate. Otherwise you will likely lose.
I would sell option closer to buy to reduce risk of being wrong.

Hi Tony, great content! Can you please expand your answer a bit further on that question at 58.40min about the rule of getting premium at about 3.33% of the width of the Credit spread in Debit Spreads? What is the general rule of thumb (approximately) to pay for Debit spreads (under normal circumstances when IV is not high, like at 35 to 50%, in stocks similar to Msft price range for example)? Thanks a lot.

Hello Sir I wanted to know how much loss do we have to bear if we have a losing debit spread which we want to roll over so does rolling lock in the losses for the position say I am 3k down on a 5k contract does rolling lock in the 3k loss and then rolls to open a new position with just 2k profit?

Loved your seminars! Is it accurate to say that the max gain of a call spread can't be 100% realized until its expiration date?
For instance, a debit bull spread that expire in 5 days vs.another one expiring in 90 days -- assume all the rest of the criteria are met per your best practice guidance -- would the latter spread have to wait until 90 days to fully realize the max potential gain, even if both strikes become deep in the money?

Nice subject especially in the market were in! Definitely find myself backing my calls with puts these days!!! EVERY NOOB needs to watch this and learn where your stop limit button is cause I can’t find mine and it’s fkn me up😂!!!🙈 See I’m a greedy bastard cause I never had shit, past 20yrs my money been raising 3 kids and a wife that don’t work!!! So tired of being broke all the time when I work my fkn ass off, and make decent money! So I played Longer out Calls hoping to hit that mooner then I don’t give a shit if it tanks but those add up quick lol so moving strategy’s cause this market and the hedgys after GME are fkn with us and IDGAF what anyone says.... this MARKET IS MANIPULATED LIKE A MTHRFKR!!!! And what actually makes it so risky atm so I suggest hedging your calls right now cause company’s that should be going up are shittin the bed for the past 2 months!! They like to rotate sectors then pick on certain companies at a colluded time in pre, post market, and dark pools where we can’t react and just sit there with our thumbs up our ass wanting to murder a mthrfkr lol it’s BULLSHIT and they should all be in fkn prison, but we try to move shit and ohhhhhh shitttt stop the presses change the laws😂 smmfh!! The moral here is PLAY SPREADS lol! What’s gunna make it go up is everyone NOT shutting the fk up about it, day after day the same questions and same answers! But maybe tomorrow will get different answers when they ask the same fkn questions lol!🤦‍♂️if I was Powell I’d raise it to 10% then say maybe you might stfu about inflation now before I raise it again!!!
