- This part makes me mad. Lol, and how did the father not notice that it was Jim that made Edward leave? It was Jim's voice that got his attention in the first place.

Your comment brings something else to mind, about looking broken and sad that is, back in December of 2018, I think the news report came around a month later in January of 2019, Aubrey Corley’s then 5 year old daughter looked the same way in that common uploaded photo in which her face was covered in scratches and bruises after she was attacked on the school bus ride home by a 12 year old bully and her 9 year old autistic brother. In the news report her mother described her as loving and outgoing, saying she could get along with anyone. They showed some pics of her before the attack, confirming that she was over all bubbly and happy, it’s just a heartbreaking comparison.

You know, I’m glad Kim dumped Jim’s ass. Although this movie, he’s made her do a lot of bad things like return home late while everyone’s asleep and even steal from his family so he can make Edward Scissorhands look bad. I don’t know what Kim saw in Jim to begin with, but I’m happy that she’s realized that he’s nothing but a jealous asshole and chose a gentleman like Edward.
Nice girls end up with guys like Jim all the time because sadly they think they can’t do better and Tim Burton did an awesome job showing that. Eventually the nice girl wises up!

@@Gavin53zane Okay, I found out from a longer clip. First there was just relaxing Christmas music playing, but then when Kim was helping Edward down from the ladder by grasping one of his blades, Jim yelled, "Hey!" all of a sudden, which startled Edward, causing him to slip and cut her.
Jim was just being the Bigfoot and bully at the same time if you actually thought about it. In the first beginning, Edward didn't intend to slit Kim's hand. It was accidental due to Jim shouting at Edward, causing Edward to be startled. And if you really think about it, he's the one who also caused Edward to go to jail for breaking in his (Jim's) house

You know, just yesterday, I signed into Reddit, just so I could put those trolls and haters in their places. I came across a page a day or two prior hating on Chloe from The Thundermans. Basically my decision to sign in was like Edward's to fight back against Jim when he saw him slap Kim. "It was personal now." And at the same time I pictured Chloe as Edward and basically any chosen hater on the page as Jim. Chloe doesn't deserve to be hated, she's just cute and innocent, like you all say about Edward. And this should shed a little light on that other response I posted saying that like Jim, these bullying trolls deserved to be forgotten. (Maybe if the page was about Piper Hart from Henry Danger, I'd probably understand a little more, you're not supposed to like her, considering she screams at people about half the time.)
I know that edward didn't cut kim on purpose it was a total accident that he didn't notice or realize that she was right in front of the ladder when he was coming down after making some snow on the snow angel and jim was being a total jerk and idiot and a freak when he called edward a freak edward is not a freak it's jim who is a freak and a moron but thanks god that edward killed him for hurting both him and kim.

I remember seeing this movie once in the theatre and renting it once, too. It's been a very long time since I watched it last, but I remember looking it up in my movie book, and the cast included Anthony Michael Hall's name, which threw me for a minute, but that's when it occurred to me that he must have played the jerky guy, in fact the quote, "I'd give my left nut to see that again," somehow I was able to match up with Brian Johnson and Farmer Ted. Plus he was the first Rusty Griswold. (I understand he's among the list of brat-packers, along with Emilio Estevez, Judd Nelson, Molly Ringwald, Ally Sheedy, and Mare Winningham, one who did not appear in The Breakfast Club.)
From what I hear, as an aside, he did want to play a different type of role from the ones he played in those movies and Weird Science. He really nailed it, too!

Not trying to be rude but, how come edward didn't defend himself by distracting Jim and try to stab him I'm the eyes and save Kim and her family?
jim reminds me of brom bones from sleepy hollow, because jim, and brom bones, and gaston, and Hal Stewart are bullies to edward, ichabod, beast, and megamind.
Because Edward is, by nature, NOT a violent person. He is meek & gentle, and would rather walk away from a fight than give a guy like Jim the satisfaction. Jim on the other hand, is a narcissistic bully who enjoys shoving his weight around and picking on people who are either unable, or unwilling to fight back. At least in the end Jim got what was coming to him. And even then, the only reason Edward attacked him was because he hurt Kim.
