- This animatic is based off of the fanfic Silence and Duality (link below)! I made this animatic incredibly fast compared to my last animatic, especially considering the extra animation that I put into this one! I like how it turned out and I hope that you all can enjoy it too :)

Because a lot of people are making comments like this, I wanted to say that the character off to the side (also the one singing) is not Thomas or Virgil. He's Parker, an OC from the fanfic mentioned at the beginning--hence why this video is titled "Thomas Sanders OC Animatic"!

Logan -like he felt some sort of emotional backlash with himself like he's saying"shit I made him feel this way"
They all look so hurt and disappointed with themselves except virgil. He looks startled and well anxious like he's waiting for parker to lash out like he did when they were both trapped.

When I watched this, it didn't made sense and I thought Thomas was there instead of Parker and assumed he went berserk or something. After reading the fic. It kinda makes sense now. This was wild from start to finish.

WARNING: THIS IS THE ENTIRE STORY IN COMMENT FORM. DO NOT READ IF YOU ARE PLANNING ON READING THE STORY BECUZ THIS IS SPOILERS AND THE STORY IS FRICKEN AMAZING!!!!
There's a fifth Sander Side named Parker, and he's fear to Thomas. After an accident where Thomas nearly gets hit by a car, the others decide that Parker needs to go. (At the time they are all eight) When Virgil tells them not to, he gets the same fate as Parker. Roman, Patton, and Logan create three walls in the back of the mind ( the back of the mind serving as the fourth wall because Virgil refuses to help ) and trap Parker and Virgil in there for five years, until they and Thomas are 13. Patton rescues Virgil, but not Parker, as he has become uncontrollable and dangerous. Skip to fifteen years later, in current time, (Thomas is 28), and Parker plots his escape. He gets the three Sanders to let their walls down by showing them hallucinations where Virgil is in danger. After he is free, he traps the Sides, each in a prison like his own, that the way out is not to be alone, which they all are. Virgil is the only one safe, as he was in the physical world helping a terrified Thomas, ( who meanwhile has no idea why he's afraid, as he never met Parker). He sets out to save the other sides, and after that they go to help Thomas. Parker finds them, in the physical world, and terrifies Thomas to a point where the sides, apart from Virgil, agree to wipe Thomas's mind, basically Suicide to them. After Virgil basically makes Thomas pass out, bringing the sides to their senses that they can't do this, (they all wake up in the mind palace except for Parker who wakes up in the back of the mind), they set out to find Parker, and then realize Parker is using his own fear against them. Virgil ad him talk and Parker realizes a lot of things, and basically breaks down. The sides forgive him, ur are still uneasy with him, and he goes back to the mind palace with them. At the very end, Virgil goes to Parker and they talk, and Virgil tells him that Parker has changed, a lot, and leaves. Parker after realizes that he is no longer fear, he is sadness.

This is beautifully made and the fan fiction was beautifully written. The song really fits the story and how after the entire thing, Parker turns to Sadness, this shows how he tries to apologize, but it's hard, because what the Sander Sides did was kinda unforgivable, as what he did. I really hope that you continue making videos like this and writing stories like that, because both of these made me cry ( in a good way ) Stay strong!

I just got done spending the last like 3.5 hours reading that fanfiction and i cried so much, like, the story is sad on its own at the beginning but once you go further into it and realize what's actually been happening/what happened it gets even sadder. ;n; I completely recommend it, even though it'll leave anyone with a heart in tears.

I just read the fanfic but this is my third time watching the video and i find myself analyzing every bit? Or just noticing things like how Logan was referred to mom in both the story and was the one seen when the mom was mentioned, how the blue color of the animation could be the color of his walls in his room. How the scribbles that had been in the shape of the Parker we first saw, only to cover their face for a few frames. Of course not going into too much detail to not ruin anything for people who want to read it but those touches, whether on purpose or not, is really tugging at my heart. As well as things like Patton crying first and the song seems to fit surprisingly well for it to not be specifically written for it. It's wonderful to see creators write amazing stories and make just as amazing videos such as these and art work for them, and I sincerely hope you get noticed.
Oh gosh. I just noticed more things, such as the wings and how the scribbles had filled the screen before they came back and just. Ugh, small things like this is what makes me wanna cry, lol.

I am revisiting this animatic after so long just to say how much of an impact it has had on my life. This animatic is what first got me into Dear Evan Hansen. It also was the one of the first fanfics that I remember reading. I probably read that fic 12 times, and after all this time it still holds a special place in my heart. Thank you for sharing your beautiful creations.

Okay so I watched this a couple times and it kind of confused me but I still loved it. Then I opened up the description and I was like "okay there's something it's based after, lol I'm too lazy". The net time I watched it I was like "i have nothing to do I might as well read the fanfic and then I'll understand it more. I'm so glad I did. It makes the video have so much more feeling and the story itself is amazing. Then I read the insomnia story you wrote too and i was blown away. It's amazing. I never thought I would really have the attention span for it or even like it but it's so good. I recommend to everyone the fanfics that they wrote. I love them so much (especially the insomnia one but that isn't related to the video lol). Please continue writing because I love your stories!
