This being Thomas's rendition just makes this even better, but DAMN can he slay. The lower octave take sounds so nice with his voice and just gives this an even better tone.
Theory. Janus Deceit (JD) didn’t dye when he blew himself up. The explosion just mangled the left side of his body and that’s where his scale-like scars come from.

Sometimes I lay awake at night and think about the fact that Thomas auditioned for Heathers and the directors went "ah yes, he'd make a good JD" like. Yes. He is perfectly capable of darker stuff. But that just doesn't align with the ukulele-playing, rainbow covered, vulnerable pizza-loving nerd we all know. And I think that's absolutely fantastic.
He has ANGELS in his voice!
Very epic!!!!! One thing I forgot to mention on insta was that the facial expressions are amazingly drawn and really show how Deceit switches from being sorta caring too 'i'm gonna kill everything I see'. He is accusing Virgil of abandoning him, that he isn't the problem and that it is Virgil's fault for leaving him and is also being quite demanding. The way Thomas sang the lines at 2:18, he's saying that that Virgil has no choice and through the facial expressions it really shows that this dude is not someone to deny or disagree with! I also love the flame effects very nice, they have strong warm colours, except in this scene it couldn't be any farther than a nice caring environment (that warm colours suggest) and i thing that just fits so well! Amazing work as always, don't stress and take care of yourself! Lots of love
