I travelled to Chicago in 2009 and went to Jake Melnicks and did the hot wing challenge, the record was 21 from Joe (Texas) I did 19 and my wife insisted I stop as I looked like I was dying :) I love that city so much. All the best from Yorkshire, England.
My favorite food wings . I live in Daytona Beach and believe it or not Publix supermarket has some of the best wings and fried chicken around . They make it fresh right in front of you . There subs are amazing too. They sell a ton of them .Very busy.

Interesting how the hot sauce was made, it looks like the mild, medium, and hot all started from same base sauce, and only difference was each hotter level had an extra layer of the habanero. mild = jalapeno medium = jalapeno + habanero hot = jalapeno + habanero + habanero
And fresh cut fries, too. This is a really well run restaurant. Kudos to the owner.
Chicago is maybe the only city in the US where almost all restaurants use fresh cut fries, even little hot dog stands
Last time I went to Chicago I gained 10lbs in a week. Great food city.
