    Thank you. This is really helpful, and not necessarily just for Halo armor. There aren’t many videos out there that show how to attach armor pieces to your body. The idea of using belts is brilliant.
    I will make sure to come back to this video when I finish up my Halo armor.
    Thanks again :)

    I really appreciate a video like this. There are so many great videos out there for making armour. But there are not many that go into depth on how to properly strap and pad armour to fit the person inside it. So thank you for covering this as it works perfectly for a whole bunch of projects of mine.

    I keep coming back to this vid as i build my armor piece by piece. Im doing 3D printed reach armor, so it hasn't been 1:1 especially since im not an expert at sizeing or editing my models to fit me, but its been going great so far. working on the thighs right now before the arms, but my helmet and torso turned out great for a first time cosplay

    Awesome guide. I know one major mistake I have made so far is that I have 3D printed my entire armour set from PLA and its made it somewhat incredibly difficult to move in and pad because the material has no give AT ALL but with this guide I might have a few ideas I can try. Just need to find a Halo 3 visor for my helmet 😕

    When you connected the straps and buckles and basically tested out fitting the armor, do you recommend doing this once everything is painted and done or right after you finish assembling the armor? (as in right before plasti-dipping?). Since if you put the straps and buckles, you would need to tape up the straps/buckles/etc. I'm about done finishing up an ODST armor suit but I'm not sure if I should try and attaching the straps now or after I plastidip or even after I spray paint?

    • @angelegend
      @angelegend  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Test fit it before you paint it. Strap and buckle it after you paint it.

      Usually people would coat the armor in epoxy resin, it adds a nice tough and rugged strength to it

    Do you think 96 square feet of EVA foam enough for the entire armor?

  • @rennyben3329
    @rennyben3329 6 ปีที่แล้ว

    Random question, what would happen if an airsoft bb hit EVA foam? Would it go straight through it?

    • @angelegend
      @angelegend  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      No I don't believe it will go straight. It may imbed itself into the foam, but EVA is really sturdy and handles impact well.

    • @rennyben3329
      @rennyben3329 6 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Ok, so if you were to wear this armor to a airsoft battle-thing, it would be decently fine

    Do you think I could make the armor out of cardboard instead of foam?

    • @ferrous719
      @ferrous719 5 ปีที่แล้ว

      Foam has the advantage of heat shaping and a little flexibility. If you intend to walk around a con floor in it, I'd go foam.

      I would suggest back pack clips or snaps that would see on a jacket. You can find mini backpack style clips in the craft section of Walmart, and they are perfect for discreetly attaching armor sections.
