ehh, not really. it just looks that way because the colors are waay too oversaturated. pretty atypical for videos of that time, most of the time they favored the bluer tints, which led to a more grayish color thus looking older.

@jriden true, if he wasn't kobe bryant, a pro, the news wouldn't travel too far or impact too many people. but from his own mouth his greatest work and joy were his girls. kobe and his 4 females... he was a special guy with his priorities straight. that's why people are grieving . it's a shock and that always takes some processing.

    • @HERMITBOY
      @HERMITBOY 4 ปีที่แล้ว +5

kayskidf1 Very true. I’ve recently googled a wallpaper of Kobe, then I stumbled on so many pics of him always with his daughter Gigi. You can see snapshots of her always looking like she was so focused on her dads every word while they watched ball games together, looked like Kobe was pointing out aspects of the game. The videos of Kobe and Gigi training and him smiling with pride as she scores points during her games just makes this even harder. Seeing their bond makes me feel that if this tragedy was Kobe’s unfortunate time to go, Gigi had to go with him. That bond was something else and I don’t know if she would be able to function, she was spared the incredible pain of losing her father.

Kobe has given all of us a lot through the years, so I wanted to do something for the Kobe fans. Here are all of Kobe’s highlights. Feel free to add any in the comments that I may have missed.
There's not much in the first quarter because he's double & triple teamed the whole time, and his teammates are missing their shots.
    4:12 - wins the tipoff
20:07 - jumpshot (first points of game)
    21:53 - dunk
    23:08 - floater
26:08 - awesome spin move (but fouled and missed the shot)
    32:04 - steal & transition dunk
    41:13 - fast break dunk
43:13 - replay of fast break dunk
45:08 - rebound with coast to coast razzle dazzle plus assist
    47:23 - draws a foul
    47:39 - replay of foul
48:08 - makes first free throw
43:22 - makes second free throw
    49:42 - slashing layup
59:01 - showing off his handles
1:00:00 - runs full court get called for a charge and gets pissed off
1:03:04 - Makes third free throw
1:03:22 - Makes fourth free throw
1:11:21 - rebound long pass for assist
    1:13:13 - replay of pass
1:14:44 - misses first free throw
1:15:01 - makes fifth free throw
1:16:12 - Kobe celebrates with his dad
    ENJOY!
    RIP Kobe

WOW...unbelievable to be watching Kobe playing his very last high school game or any of his games! Who would've thought that he would become larger than life in anyone's memories of watching him grow into a living legend. The generations of young children and adults that got to witness a young boy with a dream become more than just a super star basketball player. He had accomplished what he had set out to do, but it was only the beginning of many other dreams he still wanted to make happen not for himself, but to give back to the world. Though he may not have lived a full life, He Lived Life to the fullest and continued to do so after playing twenty years in the NBA for his dream team, the Los Angeles Lakers. He lived for his family, that was his ultimate goal, and carrying that unconditional love for his family truly was the ultimate fulfillment anyone could ever want. Isn't it something how he attracted so many admirers from all walks of life whether or not they watched basketball? His influence and intelligence gave many people inspiration to except challenging obstacles in their lives , to never quit or back down, and to learn from failure in order to succeed in all aspects of this life we live. Remember the life Kobe loved and lived, remember his daughter Gigi for the life she loved and lived, remember Kobe's extended family and friends that were together with him and Gigi, for they too lived life they loved and definitely lived. May Pease be with you and may God take your hands and walk with Him into the Glory of everlasting love. Peace to You

The people bringing up his pass mistakes are EVIL. He made one mistake and learned from it never to make another one. Instead he used that mistake and grew from it, by giving back to the community, never disrespecting his wife and kids and family and fans again. He never boast about his philanthropic work, he let his actions speaks for itself that's why he was forgiven and began a great role models to his wife children and family. He grew up from his mistakes unlike so many others, for instead just naming one, R Kelly and so many other famous people. Kobe focus on God, he went to church a devout Catholic with his daughter and did communion before he got on that helicopter. Not taking away from the victim, but has she done anything good to help other women of rape or assaults? What she did was stop all communications with authorities Thats why his case was dropped, instead she went to civil court to get millions, did she even donated to women in distress. She is no one to look up to Im actually ashamed of her actions as a woman of an assaults. It makes me wonder if it really happen. IMO. She sold out took millions and did nothing. He made one mistake and spend the rest of his life righting his WRONG. So for all you perfect people bringing up this man's one mistake he's spend his short life righting. You guys are God, God has forgiving him because that's what my God is a forgiving person. Unlike you people bringing up something this young man did 17 years ago. He made of for by doing right by his fan his wife especially his girls and God. With that REST IN PEACE TO HIM HIS DAUGHTER AND THE SEVEN OTHER VICTIMS TAKEN SO SOON. And he was no thug. ".....the most unselfish 52 points by Billy Owens;" undoubtedly the commentator didn't know/understand nor checked the record to comprehend that to "SCORE" that many points in a high school game is the EPITOME of the word "SELFISH !!" And yes; the blatant animus by those "haters" that followed KOBE,most definitely started in high school and followed him to his untimely and most unfortunate demise and continues thereafter. To be a "WINNER" requires one to focus ,lock-in/harness as much drive/determination and personal talent as needed to deliver victory; especially in/on a team that lacks quality players and coaching. KOBE was never a selfish player and for those to say he was at any point in his life; do not know what it takes to contribute to achieve that signature win that makes one and one's teammates victorious and ultimately -CHAMPION(s)! Now I see where Kobe got his selfishness. He played with bad teammates for too long.

Most high school prodigies like Kobe play with seemingly subpar teammates by comparison. Look at Zion Williamson's team at Spartanburg Day School.

Kobes teammates were terrible, like below average terrible... kobe was doubled without the ball and tripled with the ball. But his teammates just cant capitalized on anything.

I'm still having trouble sleeping without waking up thinking about Why would that helicopter make a left. I know this area as I'm from L.A. I'm in mourning for someone I haven't even met. I had some death in the family, friends but this one just hit me. RIP GG and Kobe along with the other 7 passengers RIP

Thank you for pointing this out! It's true, without doubt, that Kobe Bryant was a phenomenal basketball legend, but the Erie Cathedral Prep squad gave Lower Merion a run for the trophy.
