when luma slipped on the ground when she saw Lauren was sooo cute
When I was potty training my dog. I had a bell hanging with a piece of string and every time it was time to go out to go pee pee I would ring the bell and say potty time. Now she older she hits the bell when she has to go to the outside to go potty.

We hung a leash next our door and whenever our pup wanted to sleep she would slap it against the wall so we could take her out! Or she’d wait by the door!

You should definitely crate train Luma! It's so beneficial, they will cry for the first few times but if you give her lot's of treats and let them cry it out, they will eventually learn to love it!
Alina Aziz I think every dog is different. My dog absolutely loved his crate. He was sad when I folded it up and got rid of it when he got older lol

Crate training is amazing! It seems harsh because they cry but they eventually see it as their den/space!

My dog absolutely LOVES her crate. She goes in there freely at night to sleep even though she’s welcome on my bed and she’s been in it all day.
I’ve had my dog sleep in a crate every day since I got him at 8 weeks old and he still hates his crate to this day. (He’s almost 13) but he’s also the most stubborn animal I’ve ever met! Lol most dogs adjust to it after a week or so.
My 5 mo goldendoodle puppy LOVES his crate!! I use it as his “time-out” but he still goes in there whenever he wants! Its basically his own little room that I occasionally send him to whenever he’s naughty lol. (He knows when hes in trouble and can go to his crate on command)
Agreed! We got our pup when she was about 6 months old and she was already crate trained (thank gosh). After she was almost a year old, we got her a bigger crate, but a few months after that we realized she learned how to lift the door on it so she would always try (she never succeeded thankfully) and was banging up her nose pretty bad, so she started sleeping with me and we just leave her in our living room when we go out (we have a dog gate to separate it from the rest of the house). But crate training is the best!

Oh my goodness, absolutely adorable! I love, love, love mini golden doodles. I have a normal golden doodle, and let me tell you he’s a hoot! He’s so crazy and sweet. They bond so well! Whenever i’m sad or sick he always wants to be around me and it’s so sweet. Golden doodles are awesome! Luma is so cute!

Puppy is so freakin adorable and I’m loving these house videos. The only thing that bugs me still is the carpet on the stairs. 😫😫😫lol one update at a time. So far the place looks amazing.

She will get adjusted to your schedule eventually!! My pup used to wake up at the crack of dawn and run around and want to play and it got exhausting. I wanted to crate him so bad. I did for about 2 weeks but I personally wanted to train him to not be in a crate. I know there’s absolutely nothing wrong with crate training but my dog is my baby and I want him to be able to run freely like I do 😂 I don’t want to make him feel like a prisoner. And I know that’s not how it is, just how I feel!! Now he sleeps until I’m ready to get up. He just lays around and snuggles. And he goes to bed when I’m ready. I love it.

Almost any dog trainer will recommend crate training! It's amazing for them. Also try a bell for her to ring when she needs to go out!
a great idea for luma, you can get a bell and whenever you take her to the bathroom ring the bell and soon luma will learn to ring the bell herself when she needs to go to the bathroom!💕
I love that they clean all together and it’s not all aspen cleaning or Parker cleaning. It’s adorable

You guys should definitely try using bell training! You hang a bell off amazon on the door and then use her paw to hit it every time you take her out! It only took my goldendoodle 3 days to learn!!! I highly recommend!!

Best things we did with dog training are giving her a treat when we leave so she doesn’t have separation anxiety, she actually gets excited when we put our shoes on! We also taught her “leave it” and if we drop food on the floor she knows it’s not for her until we tell her she can “take it”.
My 10 month old loves his crate, its like his safe space! We can put him there know at night and he stays quite until we wake up. With the crate he learned where to pee really fast. Also it made him learn to be alone and not cry.

Just wait til you have a baby. You’ll be getting up even earlier, and even in the middle of the night, where you’ll have to change a diaper, feed the baby, and burp the baby (all of which takes about an hour or more total, and that’s IF your baby goes right back to sleep lol). You’ll be blessed beyond measure, however, if you get a baby like mine, who is sleeping through the night since two months old :)
Hahaha I had to laugh at this because my daughter didn’t sleep through the night until 11 months old and having a new puppy/potty training was still harder for us than the newborn stage!
But it's all worth it!

You should get one of those gated dog play pens. It’s a live saver during potty training and there’s plenty of room. Cozy it up with a bed and some toys she has room to roam around there and give her a designated space away from your rug until you’re confident in her potty training. And it also gives her a place to be whenever you leave the house, if you’re crate training the crate can stay within the gated space

with our dogs we have a thing that makes it to where the rug is an area they cant go on or they get a little shock!! they learn really fast and will just know not to get on your rug so its not like they are getting shocked all the time and eventually you can just take the collar off and they know :) might help your white rug
I have a husky and when she was little she would cry at night non stop. So a tip for you guys is if you have hard wood floors in your room put the doggy pen in the same room your sleeping in.

Look into crate training!! I crate trained my dog and he LOVES his crate which is really nice and helpful

I recently got a puppy too and I totally understand wanting to keep her in one room! I got baby gates and just gate her in with me and she can’t knock them down or get around them, I totally recommend!

I highly recommend crate training if you haven’t already. It’s not cruel they find security in the crate at night and it helps with potty training and obedience. That way you have a pet you will keep forever and never have to re home because of frustration with marking and chewing. Love your decor vlogs xo

My dog rings a bell every time she needs to go out, because whenever we would take her out to pee when potty training, we would rang the bell. I highly recommend doing this! Our dog even trained our cat to do it 😂.
Hi Aspyn and Parker! Youguys should consider investing in a carpet cleaner for any potential accidents Luma has as well as any spills that come along with life. We have one that we got from Cosco and it is easily one of my favorite purchases:)
