I think this one is better than power slave and number of the beast. Seventh Son will always be my favorite, but Brave new world is right up there with it. I'm not sure how they pulled off releasing an album that rivals the material they were putting out in their prime so late in the game, but somehow they did it.

For me all 17 albums equally great. Paul did great on the first 2. Blaze did what he could in '96 and '98 and of course Bruce is a legend. Love every song they have ever done. Up the Irons for life!!

People who prefer the older, punkier sound will point to Number of The Beast or Powerslave, or the first album for DiAnno lovers (I'm more of a Killers guy). But for prog-heads of the new millenium like me, this album is pretty close to flawless, and each and every track is memorable and single-worthy. Matter of Life and Death is very very good too, but to me it works better listened to as a full concept album from beginning to end.

Love the Paul D. era and Killers is awesome, as well as the older albums with Bruce. But I love this too. How can you not feel moved by this album? A delight to the soul. Just beautiful!

To me this is Maiden's best album. Perfection from start to finish! Nicko's drumming is absolutely phenomenal!
