Yeah it's crazy because I've seen hundreds of Gfreds in that case, and they're frankly nothing original at this point but Broughy still manages, with his narration, tone, to make it a good watch. Same with random all which I despire, I still watch them sometimes, just for the rant...
I had a slow start, getting in a Vigero with a passenger and in the bottom half. But then I got the Rapid GT that Broughy passed up and got up to 6th. It was going well until the Hail Mary. There was car in the way of my jump and I didn't get enough height. Pulled the chute but landed on the road, then got hit by a truck and died. Oh well. It was an intense race though.
GFRED SUMMARY SERIES Gfred #226: Battle of the Top Ten, for the Top Five . . . . SPOILER ALERT After a Khamelion race, it’s time for Gfred, and luckily, he’s spawned not far from the Arcade to get his safe money, and Broughy jokingly talked about the F1 Car’s Spoilers to answer The Cousin Eddie. After checking to make sure that he has a Parachute, he decided to create a new Session instead, and yes, we’re back to normal Gfreds. Broughy still feel the need to win the Sultan RS from the Car Meet though. ToS asked “Is there a point to trying to win it if I already have one?” even though when you get a car for free, you can sell your old car for some extra cash. Then he started inviting people as he took a short break. In response to Broughy’s PSA on the Gfred Rules, Oezzimix said “You sound like a train driver” Ikaonashi is not pleased “thx for stolen my place” Katuralien said “it was me and I got disconnected lmao” Karma, but that’s the price Ikaonashi paid for winning the playlist earlier. Diglett shows that the rain is in 28 minutes, and if someone takes long enough to actually see the rain, then you know that this race gone drastically wrong. Broughy got a really smooth run down the hill into the water, maybe it’s a new Pro Strat. Taizun said “It can only be better than last weekend no matter what” which sounds like a jinxing. Unknown Cat said “You're 4 seconds down already” Broughy then resurfaced in his attempt to go for the Swim Line as Cat continued “Make that 9” and Broughy doesn’t like to be compared now. Still, this is a late night Gfred after starting the stream later by an hour for watching the Brazilian GP. Broughy feels getting old as he woke up in 6.30 AM, and he’s gonna be 32 in a month. Oktosite said “Old man Broughy gonna miss out on the Monday morning grocery store deals like this” though what he wanted to do in Monday is to go to the gym. He saw Moist Kitty got rammed by a Super Diamond which he took after that. He then has an easy time taking a Rancher XL and walk away. Somehow a Tornado is faster… initially as he ignored that Vigero (NOT Gauntlet) And the Rancher is catching up in the top speed… very slowly, definitely below average. Buffalo seems to be the best car right now, but he’s considering Super Diamond’s top speed too for Airport-Chiliad, but Rancher’s good on Offroad where the traction is 0,8. It was a unique selection of cars with those that rarely been in Gfreds, but he immediately takes a Buffalo right after the Quarry. He’s currently 4th, 15 seconds behind MoistKitty. Broughy then going neck and neck with Ikaonashi as he spotted a Rapid GT. Ikaonashi overtakes for knowing where to brake boost but Broughy managed to get a good on as well in the Pillbox Interchange, but it’s too late anyway. Ikaonashi’s gone, and so begins another Brakeboost rant. But then Ikaonashi hit a Phoenix at the Arena, Broughy followed right after him, and then Ikaonashi clipped the wall and practically brakechecked Broughy. XDW asked “Do you ever solo gfred to learn new lines etc.?” and as he hit another troll Oracle, of course he don’t. Then he got bombared by the oncoming traffic of Diglett’s Buffalo and also Moist Kitty. It’s all his fault there as he begun sarcastically saying things about “Stick to the Right” Rule. Now he questioned why people says that he doesn’t know about that when they see him doing Gfred for years, so does rotating the car in the air. He’s baffled in 5th, 45 second behind Diglett and Moist Kitty battling, as another Tornado trollingly swerved into him. He’s having a bad time and he regretted not taking the Rapid GT. Broughy’s tired and he’s gonna accept his fate and just sit back and relax, not stressing nor pressuring himself. He spotted a Banshee before he turns back and chase a Feltzer while Zombie RIP passes in a 9F. Now Broughy’s jealous. If he hates going back for cars, then why did he do it? But for a Feltzer, it’s worth it… until he spotted a 9F later in the road. 9F are around but Broughy choose to be a Feltzer Boy today. Now his target is the Top 5 for the Spreadsheet, and he’s getting two positions for tailgating the train while the other are stuck waiting. Broughy also brakecheck everyone after the Bridge to make sure that they can’t jumped him on the Safety Train restart. Top Five are so far ahead, but Broughy’s now leading the rest. Diglett is now seen descending Chiliad, while Mastah’s 9F is so rotten now. He’s aiming for top 5 but he failed to take his car to the Checkpoint, now top 5 is unlikely. He then slams into a tree on the Descent as Ikaonashi steals 1st, so Diglett and Moist Kitty seems to have significant issues… or the position placement is a bit jumbled for a bit. Broughy then just launched himself off Chiliad. The battle is becoming intense as a Banshee obeys the rule on the bridge, as Broughy catches up riding the train track, to Mastah and McGregga’s Buffalo. Mastah surprisingly didn’t roll the 9F on the Train Dismount, but Broughy knew that the 9F will bring trouble eventually. Now the map is giving Broughy impression that Top 10 are quite close, and yes, it is, Ikaonashi in 4th is 17 seconds ahead while McGregga at 9th is 4 seconds behind. And then Broughy flips upside down on the Dismount Hill. Still thinks that this is one of the closest Gfreds, not just for the win but also for Top Ten, and now some are split between Josiah Parachute and Hail Mary. The Roll set Broughy back though. He then rolls on the Hail Mary and the door is opened on the bottom. Luckily, he managed to deploy the parachute, albeit barely because he immediately lands on the trails, forcing him to climb down to the beach and swimming. It could have been a top 5 if he makes the Hail Mary. But surprisingly Zombie RIP won the race, still better than last week though. If this is a derailment, then last week is a train wreck. Dozer said “are you aware of how to control your car midair?, well try that when the car is unpredictable and you are under pressure. Still, for races where usually top two are running away, as Broughy overtakes DB Cooper who messed up the landing for 7th. Meanwhile, Zombie RIP and Moist Kitty got top 2, Ikaonashi and McGregga got 4th and 5th. Diglett is in 9th. The entire Top Nine are less than 2 minutes apart, the top five are only 40 seconds apart. But perhaps the closeness came with the streak of one people running away with the race recently. Diglett said “The train after chiliad closed everyone up. The top 4 were all together” Verdilith donated “6th with a passenger, got a Rapid GT and made it up to 5th, battled with Mark until the military base, and I died on the Hail Mary.” Then Verdilith got 13th, and Merganith got 16th. Espanyol said “I made the observatory checkpoint! That's a first for me” And so that’s the end of the last PS4 Gfred for the year.
Can I ask why he always jumps out to do the parachute hail mary on the plateu of his jump? His character always seems to exit when the car is already going back downwards. As opposed to leaving a second or two earlier to get those extra few meters of height and stable exit.
Even though you didn't nail the hail mary, you let it roll off you, and keep going. That's one of the many reasons that I enjoy your content. Keep it up!
Brough needs to start marking GFreds filmed while he was tired with like a (t) in the title or something. So hard to watch his driving while he's exhausted
@@murraydmark kinda weird that him having less energy in one race is so bothering that you'd want to _label_ his races to tell his audience he was tired, making a mountain out of a molehill here, and again what i said before still applies
This was interesting GFRED. Lot of people doing well, while no major issue happening to Broughy. Honestly while he got screwed a little by a traffic, it was mostly his own mistakes or not performing to usual standarts that kept him from better position. That being said his final placement is still good. The whole race felt like a 'not feeling it today' but still too experienced racer to fall off completly :)
