I literally said out loud (by myself) “ON THE CELLO!?” When I saw the the picture. Amazing. I like love the interpretations for this, obviously most of Pablo’s fills could not possibly be played on cello, but it was a clever way to do the music justice. One of my favorite classical pieces of all time.

It is a concert mute for the D and G strings which makes sound softer on those two

Beautiful. And us it’s a mute. On string instruments you just store it below the bridge where you can grab it. She has it in use partway through.
