Very nice stones, i think my favorite one you cut in this video is that pinfire cushion cut, i just love how it sparkles.$225 for a parcle like that is a freaking steal, really quality mintibie it seems.
I started watching the young guns and misfits, the Justin at Black Opal Direct. Pulitzer Opal, Roy’s rocks, nn Opals , Opal Odyssey and Global Prospecting. Now I’m starting to cut with a dremel, but just got a dual shaft motor and a 120, 325, 600 diamond wheels and a 600 nova so far.
great to hear you are cutting plenty of knowledge out there with all those channels i watch them all til today , nothing like experience though :) you need 1200 nova now and a felt pad tx for letting us know here
I'm sure you've already thought of it, but it's just a thought. I believe anything opal has value. I believe one that you've worked on a video has more value. The opal in your store with the video name and the "time line" when you were working it would be wonderful. A small card would hold that information. How nice would it be to have a beautiful opal with a video to share and show your friends.... Great deal on the Opal you're working in this video. I'm on a loooow budget 😂 I'm finding where to look now. I'll be buying some day. Thanks for sharing your knowledge with me 😊
Love seeing the process and the info.... my parcel has landed in canada and will let you know how it all goes! Thanks again Tom... go oilers!... oh and other than the ones already mentioned Roys Rocks.. gives really honest discussions on opal cutting (dremel style) good info and calling out issues... fan of his channel as well
cant wait til you get into it, thank you so much and here we go game 7 who would have thought , i am so nervous watching every second even when we are up by 3 i still feel panthers can easily get back they are that good , big moment with the goal challenged it helped us a lot and Roy is awesome I agree
Insane great price for that rough. That’s the way it goes sometimes. Congrats! As it so happens, I’ve been looking for Mintabie or Andamooka crystal rough. Maybe some of your good luck will transfer to me. :)
Hi nice job love the mintabe so here’s my question 1 what do u do with your picture stones I have many but don’t seem to know what to do with them question 2 where u get that parcel m8 🤓
Hey thank you for watching and questions. I make presents with them, give them to kids or sell them very cheap in big lots to people that like to play with opal but can't afford the clear stones. The person i got the opal from does not want me to say i asked many times. Old timers stock.
Aus Opal, I am surprised to see this opal in your video. I just recently bought 3 ozs of this same rough off of an add on FB. I’ve been buying bits and pieces here and there trying to stock up a bit while saving money for my first cabbing machine. So I am very happy to see some decent gems coming out of it. Good luck sir 😊
thank you Michael stock up and i hope you get into it soon enough , i am surprised how many reasonable stones come out of this one although i think i picked the best ones at the beginning in the previous vid
All you need is $3,000 worth of wheels and somebody to buy it from you. Apparently it's not easy for expert cutters to sell.anything, they're all having auctions on Facebook and still selling nothing. I love the opal, but it's like everything else, people are trying to make money from every step of the way. I want some nice rough, I want a rock tumbler, I'm not likely going to selling anything to.A Jeweller any time soon.
It’s good to see people supporting each other and everybody lifts together 👍
yes Peter exactly thank you
Thank you for the Very Kind Shout out. Another great video. And a very nice parcel of Mintabie
thank You Ricky
Good quality Mintabie is beautiful 😍 🤩 👌

thank you Will i love them too in fact for me the ovals are the most boring cut but it is what sells

I never played the lottery or gambled before opal.... $225 for that parcel makes this whole thing seem more like math than gambling.
true that but i only saw one pic of the parcel making it little gamble thank you :)
