This car looks great. A major criticism from traditionalists is the massive screen which operates virtually all functions, even though many can be done from the steering wheel. I personally would find it distracting to have to go through screen pages to do a simple task - not to mention the need to look away from the road. I think operating the screen would be even more burdensome for right-handed drivers operating a British-spec (ie, left-hand drive) version.
Sorry for more comments as I watch. Can he actually reach the center air vents from a relaxed seated position or does he have to lean forward and stretch? A small thing, but I guess but that and the need to reach for the various screen pages I find a bit troublesome on an otherwise super car.
Every manufacturer is trying to accommodate as much population as possible. Reach for some functions would depend on the height of the driver, as well as their preferred driving position.
@@bojansavic4108 True, to a certain extent. You’re 6 feet tall and have to lean forward - I’m 6’3” and I would too. But a 5’6” woman would likely have to scoot way forward if at all. It’s a gorgeous car - I would make do.
gorgeous car, my only real pet peeve is how understated it is, especially with the new C class around the corner that literally looks just like this inside and out in pictures. If im spending 140k on a car I dont want it to look like a common mans c class. Also my 2016 s class forward camera would disappear into the grill when not in use. Kinda tacky having this one just cut into the sensor there.
So does this new S Class come with the augmented reality heads up display or not? I looked on the website and it’s not even an options for the W223 body style. Just for European specs?
A truly spellbinding vehicle inside and out. The only interior design that makes no sense is that oversized centre screen. It truly looks out of place in such a classic vehicle. Otherwise, this Mercedes rocks 🕺🥂.
Hmmm… I spot 2 creases along the side of the vehicle, not just one. In addition to the upper crease just below the windows, the car has a low crease that carries along the side from the front wheels and wraps around the rear of the car.
Lower crease is there, you are correct. I had very limited time with the car, and in Gorden Wagener video (designer of many Mercedes-Benz cars as well as the new S-class) he mentions one line and calls it "catwalk line".
you might be surprised. 1999 E-class is about 190" and new 2021 S-class is 208". At around 1999, Benz had "big body", and it was true for that time...comparing with other car. Meanwhile, all cars gained in size.
The presentation does not have to be quite so infantile and worst of all you missed the most important option i.e. 302 rear frontal airbags which will increase safety extremely much!
with the announcers bouncy style, it would have been nice if he broke into some real break dance moves!
thank you for explaining the executive line, which is something new coming from MB
Well done again Bojane! Great review of a fabulous car!!!
Thank you
Great video, Bojan!! This video made me want one sometime in my life
In middle east the digital light comes standard
outstanding vehicle presented with style.
Very talented presenter
Thank you Vlad.

wow
So the digital lights will only be on the Maybach and not an option for the s580?
Great video! Very informative!
mycket bra

Definitely getting around things cheaper.
2013 was the year of old style built Mercedes
Great!! I want to buy in Japan, but also nice EQS, but too expensive for me, so just see this TH-cam, cry !

Yes, it is an option; 3D Technology Package
Nice

Price?
I live in Bolivia and I'd like to buy that great car.

We don’t get any of these fancy options in the uk models
I think you mean your label to read a ‘180 degree camera’ in the grill. A 360 degree camera would have you viewing the radiator.
You are correct. Camera in front has several uses, and it is contributing to create 360 degree viewing.
@@bojansavic4108 Correct. The camera itself isn’t 360 degrees as the caption reads.
Looks like a C class from the front
Not with that grill never that
Why black interior? It’s boring
Not a fan of the tablets the new tech is going with. Looks cheap I like the MB style cluster vs mb tablet style
it has gotten to small. no more big Benz as we use to say. size of 1999 E class

Not to mention this S class is actually longer than the one it replaces.
@@pacmanc8103 Yes, almost 2 inches.

Is it me or this Guy looks like PUTIN?
It looks like a ripoff of a pre-facelift Tesla Model S
You look like Putin.
I'd rather be in the back of a minivan than the new S.
