Honestly you declutter more than anyone I know!
tbh i see a repetitive cycle on this channel where they'll be a slew of home decor and clothing purchases in every video, followed by several cleaning and de-cluttering videos. i'm sure it's tricky as a lifestyle vlogger to *not* make consumption-focused content because then what else would you film? but as a viewer the constant overconsumption on this channel is a little too much....

agreed. i love a good declutter that explains why things are being donated or thrown away. ..bc it isn’t used or not liked or whatever and also who will receive the stuff. this was just a quick montage that didn’t really give us anything. no food for thought.
The great thing about being an adult, is that you can do whatever you want with out needing to call it "a gift to myself".
I loved this style of video so very much. Something that might help you keeping things decluttered, is a one in one out rule.
I don't get why you ask what kind of video people want and do the opposite.
Amazon has some of the best spice jars and most come with labels. Walmart has a nice label maker, I think it was like $30 or $40 and you can pick a couple different sizes and choose from several different borders, a couple fonts, etc.

You can buy adjustable dividers for you kitchen utensil drawer. I also stuff my carryall bags inside of ot6her. In addition I keep a where is it binder for all of the stuff in my home so I can easily find it.
Not sure if you cover this, but I’d love to know how you went about combining your stuff with Jordy’s! Who kept what and how?

for the mugs stuck together put ice and cold water in the inner one, and run the outer one in hot water, and then work on pulling them apart.

I have found that having some organizing accessories like drawer dividers helps compartmentalize the storage areas and maintain order so that items end up back in their designated spot, and thus decluttering and organizing doesn’t have to be repeated so frequently.
I have separate utensil holders on my counter for each material of utensil. All wood, metal and plastic have their own utensil holder. I have those holders on a beautiful wooden lazy susan in the corner so I can rotate to reach whatever I need. My kitchen needs a lot more organization but this one thing makes me happy lol

Michel, the podcast about the guy who changes identity every year ( catch me if you can) was made into a movie . One of my favorite movies of all time. And the person is played by Leonardo DiCaprio. Not sure if you are aware or not . Just wanted to share in case you wanted to watch. It’s fascinating . I believe they show that actual person at the end ( who works for the government now , I believe ). The title of the movie is “catch me if you can” from 2022

I'm in the same process. Bought my house almost a year ago at 43, after renting and moving every couple years my entire life just like you, Michel. I finally just "realized" Im staying qnd can settle in. I even bought a custom return address stamp. I had stopped buying the address stickers because i would always move before I used them.

Love this type of video! Does anyone else line their drawers? I always did...maybe because my mom did. But it's so much work and thinking it might be easier to be able to take things out and wipe down good. Also the liners end up moving around anyway unless they are stuck on there.

People mistakenly think that someone ‘nesting’ equates to pregnancy-very false. I’m 36, haven’t had a period since my early twenties-thank you IUD-but due to hormone levels fluctuating throughout the month, there is scientific support in regards to the different hormones during a menstrual cycle. The only way I know when I would naturally have my cycle is the week or so before when I CONSTANTLY clean, organize, reorganize, clear out etc., everything (which is a form of nesting, I’m just not pregnant). In some, that drive its higher than ( others (my mom and sister are the same-everything gets really really clean in our homes lol). Also learning your body off of hormonal BC is a process-one you have so kindly shared. Coming off it doesn’t mean you’re ready to jump on getting pregnant ASAP. The podcast you mention about the false pregnancy is more common than people think-psychosomatic (mind/body) disorders can show how powerful what you think can be in regards to how your body responds to it. It was something that highly influenced my degree in kinesiology & physiology with a double major in abnormal psychology. These vlogs are so calming to me :)
