I am blown away with how you carry yourself and how you remain so humble. After looking you up I found out how much of a stud you are. Starting freshman, had amazing slashes, and played in the cape. Can’t wait to follow your journey these next years. Good luck!
Just seeing your page today Hayden, your journey is one younger athletes should definitely try to emulate. Thanks for sharing your insight, we will be watching you and your team as you progress thru your career. Keep up the great work and keep your sights & dreams set high!
I model myself after you😤. You play the game at such a high level, devote the time to develop, lift and become the MLB Draft prospect you are today, came from humble beginnings, and you always have a smile and have fun on the field.
Thanks for all the information. GREAT video. Our son is in 8th grade now playing in neighborhood league and we constantly stress to him that he can control effort and attitude. We will start recording more of his games send them to the HS coach now.
Do u think that playing on elite travel all teams and going to showcases is helpful I got put on a b team for a travel ball team but I work my ass off but I started baseball last year
I think that just playing is the most important.... bc at the end of the day coaches want player that can play well when the lights come on! I myself didn’t go to many camps but I do know that recruiting now is totally different than when I was in school
This is really inspiring because I’m in the 8th grade starting shortstop but I’m very short for my age (btw I’m 13 years old ) but I’m like 5,0 but when I get to high school ima train really hard to achieve my goals and when I’m a junior I’m going to start giving colleges clips and info about my game like my grades to make it as high as you or farther who knows but thank you man you just made my day ! much love hopefully you play at the highest level of baseball.
i’m looking for some feedback. does anyone know if it’s possible to play college ball if you only play high school and no summer or extra travel teams?
This Motivated me Like I kinda relate to you like I’m not that big, strong or fast but I still hustle and grind everyday till I make it or atleast get noticed. This really gave me that extra boost I needed Thank You 🙏🏽
i look up to guys like you i’m a freshman and fighting for a varsity spot i just want to be known and seeing this and hearing you talk about this helped me so much i needed this message. all love ❤️
Did you know a Alumni that played for ULL named Monroe Moll? Just wondering because he went to my high school and got me really interested in ULL, and taught me the work ethic that I know to this day.
You also played at a smaller high school. High school advice will be a lot different for guys playing at bigger schools. Much harder to make and get playing time on varsity as a freshman and sophomore.
I'm an 8th grader and I'm a three sport athlete. I wanna got d1 for baseball but I'll go to a class 1 hs and there isnt any great travel teams in my area. Idk what to do.
I like your vids a lot man. They give me great advice since I’m a freshman in high school. I’m for sure going to come watch you this season. Keep making great videos!- Andrew Prejean
Jovan Cole yeah bro I was fortunate to get offers for baseball from them just watching.. I got football offers from going to one camp and emailing coaches
Love the Vid!! I’m currently a Senior In High school and I try to email coaches all the time I fill out their questionnaire and send them videos clips of me playing and all that, but some of them don’t even respond only a couple do, and they don’t even reply themselves is like a computer or something, just want to know as a senior what else can I do for college coaches to notice me?
To be honest man, it seems scary but my buddy in one of my videos didn’t have a single offer in high school until after our state championship game when he was a senior and now he’s a starter at Northwestern State. So no matter what don’t give up if you work hard enough and you apply to different schools around the country, you’ll get a chance.
Thank you for the advice and I will keep working hard. Keep it up with the vids I love them, and also in college keep up the good work you a great player!! Good luck on your upcoming season brother!!
Make sure your contacting schools that you know you can play at. Dont be contacting D1 schools if you're not at that level. There are a ton of D2, D3, NAIA, and JUCO schools that are a lot more attainable
Tyler Wayman wrong, don’t listen to this contact them all.. Theres never a reason to not shoot for the stars. This is totally incorrect. Contact all schools and weigh your options.
@@5Guyy how is this wrong? Sure contact them all, that's fine. I never said to not contact the best schools. I'm just saying to not only contact d1 schools if you're not at that level. Contact schools you know you can play at. I've gotten this advice from several college players. Your advice is good, but you're not being 100 percent realistic for all guys that want to play college ball. Keyword being PLAY and not ride the bench or not make the team at all.
Just subbed. My son and I talk about grades being very important part and development. What GPA did you have in high school? Also what stats do you think were most important avg, obp, ops etc. Being through it all it would be great to know. Thank you
I had a 3.7-3.8 in high school. Most important stat for me was having a good walk to strikeout ratio... on top of that- I guess you could say obp was the most important because I’m fast and that plays for my skill set.
Thanks for making this, I am a Catcher as an incoming freshman. There is a Catcher that started for varsity as a freshman last year as well as a top catcher in my state. What can I do to take over his spot? Should I switch positions or just be better?
no problem bro, you need to find a way any way to help your team win. That might just be working at a different position, earning the spot, or sometimes it's about waiting for your turn sometimes. One thing you can always do is outwork him, that is a choice everyone can make. Like you may not always be the most talented but you can always choose to have the hardest work ethic.
No I only trained for whatever sport I was in. If I was in baseball I trained baseball and if I was in football, but if I was in neither, I did both lol
hey brother I'm 15 and really good at baseball but my high school team is the best in the province of Mississauga Ontario can do you think that you have any contacts willing to pick up a dedicated player like myself
If I’m a junior and topping out at 82 with plus movement from a submarine arm angle do you think that any d1 schools would show interest, or would it just be better to focus more on d3s and programs like that?
5Guy Appreciate it! I’m going to an Arkansas State prospect camp next weekend and it’ll be my first time in front of any d1 coaches. Best of luck this season!
Tyler Wayman Good point. However, it’s a lot easier for pitchers to get innings than it is for a position player that’s competing for one spot with four or five other guys.
I’m a pitcher and first baseman who just finished my junior season, and I feel like I’ve got a future in baseball, but I haven’t really reached out to any coaches and have only spoken to a couple. Do you have any advice for me going forward in the recruitment process?
When emailing coaches should we email schools mainly around us and some reach schools? Or does it not matter as long as we are getting our name out there?
James falls, I wouldn’t send his future highschool coach any videos. Highschool coaches don’t recruit. His highschool coaches will see him in practice and that’s probably all they are interested in, What he can do on their field in front of them. I think sending vids might start him out on the wrong list.
Work on getting stronger first ! Many times just getting stronger from squats and box jumps will make you faster Once you have done that you can work on your technique by replicating the fastest sprinters in the world. One guy I like to watch is Andre de Grasse. If you have a track coach at your school ask him for some tips perhaps
I think a good mix of both! I think showing coaches you have the ability to develop into a college caliber player, and that you’re putting in the work for your program to accomplish those goals gives you the best chance.
Guys don't forget to check out my social medias in the description. Go check it out to stay up to date with everything.
Can u make a video on how to get contacted/contact college coaches
U okay for the Yankees in Minor league
How do we find coaches to email our clips

Thanks so much for the kind words. It means a lot !
"not very fast" *out running everyone on football field*
a gear day video from the gear the university gives you would be awesome

It’s very difficult... but it is done !
@@5Guyy alright thank you!

you were flying on that football field
i look up to guys like you i’m a freshman and fighting for a varsity spot i just want to be known and seeing this and hearing you talk about this helped me so much i needed this message. all love ❤️
Thanks man
This is very thankful so thank you and do you think you can make a video on your workout plan and like what u eat after please
I’ve been grinding to get my speed up but it hasn’t changed at all any tips for speed workouts?
Futuros Beisbol work with your track coach at school if you can. This worked for me
Thank you so much for making this video. Much advice taken from this video🙏🏽🙏🏽
Sebastian Mirabal no problem my guy!
love this video bro, thank you for making this bc I'm a highschool baseball player and really needed to hear something like this
Thanks for sharing your story 5 Guy. What was your height and weight at the beginning of your Highschool Sr year baseball season ?
of course !I was probably 5'8 160-165
Hey Hayden I’m 11 years old and I go to next level with you congrats to you on making the mlb hopefully I will make it too one day
He isnt mlb, but good luck buddy
This really hits hard. As a freshman who’s fills everything he’s saying really helps and I’m gonna follow this so hopefully it pays off
Hey I’m from Louisiana and I’m currently at a juco playing baseball but that’s besides the point. I was wondering what high school you went to?
Teurlings
Did you know a Alumni that played for ULL named Monroe Moll? Just wondering because he went to my high school and got me really interested in ULL, and taught me the work ethic that I know to this day.
xClones yes bro ! That’s my guy
Year by year what was like your throwing velocity, exit velocity, ect?
You also played at a smaller high school. High school advice will be a lot different for guys playing at bigger schools. Much harder to make and get playing time on varsity as a freshman and sophomore.
Hey I’m a ball player and I am undersized I’ve always wondered is confidence important when you play baseball and how do you develop like weights

It's funny how I am exactly the same as you in my freshman year 5'5 120 pounds weak and slow
Thanks this really helps since I lm going into hs next year
Did you email coaches for just football or baseball also?
Wagsman 54 yeah both
Thanks Hayden. I'm sending this to my 13 year old.
Are you coming back to Falmouth this summer or does it depend on the draft?
Joseph D. Elie I’m not sure as of now !
How much velo did you have in your pitch when you were pitching and what did you do to get there ?
Did you go to a lot of camps ?
Jovan Cole nooo man
5Guy so all you did was work hard and sent your highlights to the schools you were interested in ?
Jovan Cole yeah bro I was fortunate to get offers for baseball from them just watching.. I got football offers from going to one camp and emailing coaches

So proud of you Hayden!

You also have to remember you're only a freshman dude. It's very rare for a freshman to play on varsity.
During ur high school baseball seasons did u also train for football to or only during the summer
No I only trained for whatever sport I was in. If I was in baseball I trained baseball and if I was in football, but if I was in neither, I did both lol
Great Advice.
How did u get the coach’s emails
CARSON PLAYZS the college sports websites
Great Video. For when you sent out your highlight clips to coaches, what did you say in the emails?
I addressed the heading with height weight, graduating class, gpa,
All my verticals, speed times etc
My contact info and my coaches contact info
Thanks for this video. This is gonna really help me as I grow older!
hey brother I'm 15 and really good at baseball but my high school team is the best in the province of Mississauga Ontario can do you think that you have any contacts willing to pick up a dedicated player like myself
I’m a freshman right now and I’m 5’9 120 lbs. How did you gain weight?
Imagine if you had to take a shot every time he says “ummmm”
Really hope to see this journey in myself once.
could you make a vid on your hitting and fielding routine/drills you do?
good idea man
Bro I clicked this thinking it was patty in mlb. Yu lookin fly
Would it be bad to email coaches clips for freshman season? I’m 6’ 3 and 160 as a freshman
No bro !
Thanks for responding, should I send in game clips for spring season or just film my own skills video of me just doing drills?
Benton Purnell my guy you just said the same thing he said no too in a different way 😂
Benton Purnell send both my brotha, if it contains information they should have- show it to em
Mark Face he said no as in that it would not be a bad idea
If I’m a junior and topping out at 82 with plus movement from a submarine arm angle do you think that any d1 schools would show interest, or would it just be better to focus more on d3s and programs like that?
Also my gpa is a 4.1 with a 26 act so my grades are good enough to play for just about any school
Continue to work hard and develop bro ! Keep your options open for all schools and then you’ll find what the best fit for you is 😎
5Guy Appreciate it! I’m going to an Arkansas State prospect camp next weekend and it’ll be my first time in front of any d1 coaches. Best of luck this season!
I would also keep in mind playing time. Would you rather go d2 or d3 and play a bunch, or go d1 and ride the bench?
Tyler Wayman Good point. However, it’s a lot easier for pitchers to get innings than it is for a position player that’s competing for one spot with four or five other guys.
hey can you make a work out program that you use for baseball thanks
Sammy G. Watch his off-season video he gives a few workouts he does
I talked about this a little bit on my 'Offseasoning' video. Go check it out !
I’m a pitcher and first baseman who just finished my junior season, and I feel like I’ve got a future in baseball, but I haven’t really reached out to any coaches and have only spoken to a couple. Do you have any advice for me going forward in the recruitment process?
How Important is your diet and what is it?
How did you become faster and stronger?
Brawl Star Masters gotta bust it in the weight room!
Good stuff g!! Most players are to selfish to take the time to share gems likes this for young players.
Please do a gear vid/ what’s in my bag
When emailing coaches should we email schools mainly around us and some reach schools? Or does it not matter as long as we are getting our name out there?
Brett Johnson all of em!!! Local and big time schools as well !
Who else saw the coach on the field at 10:36 lmoa
A Mac Sports productions spring game
What did you do get stronger and bigger as a player?
Did you ever play travel ball?
yessir not much in high school but when I was younger yes
Did you go to showcases or events?
how many times did UL watch you in person for baseball before offering you
I don't know exactly because they don't tell you when they come, so you never know
Great video. Learned a lot
What do I have to do to get Scots to see me like where should I go
This is awesome thanks.
How old are you right now?
21
5Guy ah ok hope I see you on the Yankees in a few years
Did you make varsity as a freshman?
Jack Lapadula sure didn’t
Thankyou for the advice bro 💯
When was the first time a scout showed up to one of your games?
I don't know to be honest, it was most likely at one of my sophomore games to watch one of my teammates
5Guy thank you. I found the video really helpful. Did you use any recruiting profile websites in your recruitment process or just emails?

5Guy thanks 🙏🏽💫
They have all of them on the website of the college
This helped me out a lot
who records ur highlights for you?
