Mythology is a popular topic in storytelling, with many adventures taking place during the times of the Greeks or Egyptians, but very little attention is spent on our own mythology. What myths and legends have we created that will endure the passage of time, and how do we treat it with the respect it deserves? Well, as it turns out, these very questions have already been explored in the well-renowned and beloved series, PLANETARY! Watch as we explore how this world of the weird explores our modern day mythology as well as warn us at what might cause it harm!

This was great! Glad that I could encourage you to dive into the series, because it's absolutely worth it.
Thank you very much! And I'm glad I did! It was definitely worth the time invested
@mattdraper I’m unable to find your Planetary vid on TH-cam anymore. Searched on google, etc. Not sure where it went, I used to watch that vid all the time!
One of the best comics I have ever read
As someone who considers himself a bit of a pop culture historian its no wonder I love this book I find the tributes to classic stories great
Planetary got me back into comics.
It’s a good one to use for that!
I just subscribed because of this video. Great work! I think that a deeper dive into Warren Ellis’ run in Wildstorm needs to be more thoroughly explored. If Stormwatch and the Authority never seemed appealing, then read in reverse order to have a better understanding. Planetary >The Authority >Stormwatch(Ellis penned). My feelings won’t be hurt if you don’t, but you seem like the man for the job.
Thank you so much! I’m particularly proud of the thesis behind this one. Oh boy, that is a tall order! That might be something I tackle at some point in the future, but I wouldn’t anticipate it anytime soon. Just going through Planetary was hard enough! That being, we do have a lot of interesting analysis videos in the pipeline once we get our budget back!
Does anyone have a link to the Draper video? Thanks!
Planetary is like the Bible of fiction
…Yeah, actually that’s pretty accurate!
