Your place is looking great. Have you thought about using the free wooden planter box on the balcony as a seat for your outdoor dining setting - use a plank of wood to cover the top of the planter box, use the box for storage instead of soil and plants, put outdoor weatherproof cushions on top for comfort. You could decorate the trellis with string lights and still grow vines along it from a pot on the ground. You could have lavender in pots on the ground beside it as well which would smell lovely while you are relaxing over meals. That way you just have to get a table and you don’t have the big job of removing the planter box. For guests, get some fold up chairs so you aren’t taking up precious space on the balcony or in the house. Good luck, you’re doing a fantastic job.

But don't they have to get rid of the planter box to have room for a table?

You and Jean are so cute! Well , since you asked, I would not paint the wardrobe. It looks so nice white . Almost like it’s built in. The brass handles coordinate with your lamp. How about a pretty brass bowl on coffee table to match, sitting on a cool white coffee table book, and a candle in a pretty glass jar.
Kitchen is so sweet. Love your new fridge.
I love to decorate and I love Paris! I should probably pop over from US and help you😉

Ariel, so enjoy watching you and Jean making memories of your moving experience. The rainfall was kind of funny and what a mess it made, but I can only imagine your frustration with the unexpected downpour that hit while you and Jean were busy transporting furniture pieces, etc. So enjoying the process of transforming your living space into what will be a lovely comfortable home for you both! Best of luck as you continue to work on settling in and I look forward to each and every video of your life in Paris!! I love it!🤗

A tip to keep your soil enriched you can mix your ground coffee after you have used it dry it in a container then mix it with your soil. To maximise your calex maybe get some more baskets to add the next row for your underwear and socks. Try and see if you have bulky shoes and winter shoes you would be able to store them in there. This will free up space to add more of your current season clothes. I was wondering if you could turn your couch length way and would there be enough space to walk. You can use your couch to help separate your apartment to into sections the back of the couch could create a passage to your room. You would then be able to mount your tv on the wall. You would be able to put your coffee table in front of your couch. Think of doing a feature wall in your bedroom behind the bed to add colour. The long thin cupboard that you have your books in move that next to your desk on the right hand side next to the heater. For privacy white sheer curtains would cover the windows. This will still give the apartment the natural light. Maybe go and look at the Canadian TH-camr called Alexandra Gator. She renovated small apartments you could get some ideas. Good luck with making your apartment your own.

I love that idea of white sheet curtains. I bought mine at Target and love them over the blinds that were already here. It just makes it look so airy and light!

I loved the idea of moving the couch to face the wall, if the space is enough. I also would think of getting red of the dining table and bring a couple of stalls and use the kitchen peninsula for dining.

What a great apartment! You were lucky to find it - it has everything to make it a perfect place to live. I was wondering p, because your balcony isn’t very deep, would it be possible to hang the red planters on the outside of the rail to give you more balcony space?

I love to see your documentation of the true chaos of moving 😆 between the weeks of hard work, the messes, building furniture, surprise rainstorms.. I know exactly what you’re going through! It’ll all be worth it and then you’ll finally have some time to relax!

Your apartment looks so good. It is definitely chaos for awhile when you move. The red and white flowers look like mandevilla vine. You will be very happy with them! They will have glorious trailing vines and flowers and you don't really have to do anything except water them. They will be beautiful on your balcony. The dahlia you will have to cut off dead blooms so that you get more flowers. The wardrobe is gorgeous!

My advice to you is to use all vertical space such as above your kitchen cabinets / always go up and you will see you will have more room. Also, your green couch can you place it in front of the balcony but towards the tv more. Then place your dinning room small table behind. You can look outside when you eat. Just use two chairs then you can have the pink chairs one to the right - one to the left of couch facing each other / with the coffee table in front of the couch. So this breaks up the space and you can look directly at the TV plus the pink chairs just give more seating options. This will give you more floor space too and you can still go out on your balcony. Also with your pallet you can make it a hanging seat and put a beautiful cushion on it. So fun love your happy vibes ❤❤❤❤

You seem to have some space for items at the top shelf in your kitchen where the wine bottles are by putting items inside a basket or canvas tote easy to put up & down. Excited for the next vlog!

you do not need to sand the doors before paiinting. There is primer that you can pain first or also paint that works direkt on a surface. Just clean it first. That is the most important. I have a south facing balcony. Big containers is my tip you you will have to water them constatly

I haven't watched the video on the ikea delivery but I had issues with them too 😅 (Belgium) They refused to bring our things upstairs and insisted the best they could to was to leave it all outside. We had paid for the upstairs delivery and had a huge service elevator. It would be impossible for us to get things in by ourselves and I don't even know if it would all fit on the sidewalk!(Plus they came at the wrong date...). They said they would agree to bring our things...if we paid extra. I was livid! We'd either have nowhere to even sleep on, or risk having our stuff stolen from the streets. I had to threaten to call the police and press charges for theft before they finally agreed to bring things up to our apartment, it was honestly ridiculous.
