    so why hasn’t your friend found a appointment with housing anywhere?

    • @Ariellelaparisienne
      @Ariellelaparisienne  ปีที่แล้ว +11

      Very fair question ! I actually only found out about HousingAnywhere and met with their team last week and this video was filmed over the course of months so we actually had no idea about the platform until really recently but will absolutely try to use it for her.
      That being said, she is also looking to stay for years and years in Paris and prefers to find something unfurnished so she can buy her own furniture - HousingAnywhere is an amazing platform for mid to long term accommodation and offers mostly furnished rentals because that is what’s easiest and best for people looking from abroad (you are likely not moving to Paris from North American with a bed frame and a desk etc… 😉)
      And finally, HousingAnywhere is extremely beneficial for people who are looking at apartments from abroad because of their secure payment system. My friend is already located in Paris so this is a bit less beneficial to her because she can exchange the keys and deposit in person so she can avoid online rental scammers that HousingAnywhere aims to protect from.
      I hope this clarifies ! ☺️ I really truly do believe in this platform because I know it would have helped me GREATLY when I was first moving from Canada to France and had to find an apartment from all the way across an ocean… so that is why I chose to partner with them for this video.

    My daughter lived in Paris about 4 years ago, before COVID. She also went through an agency. She had a wonderful, safe, beautiful apartment waiting for her when we arrived. The agency is the way to go.

    So happy for you. When I saw the apartment was being renovated I knew it would be beautiful. Do you think it was an advantage having a French boyfriend or just the fact that there were two of you responsible for the rent rather than just a single person?

    • @Ariellelaparisienne
      @Ariellelaparisienne  ปีที่แล้ว +6

      THANK YOU ❤️ yes honestly I feel like the new apartment is a manifested dream haha and super interesting question because the difference is so clear - especially since I’m doing the visits with Maria as well who is struggling a lot more than me… the advantage is that we were looking for a 2 person apartment 😆 there is A LOT less demand for this kind of apartment because it’s not typically what a student or young working adult would look for because they could not afford it on one salary

      I am living in France for 5 years and lived with my boyfriend for 3 years now. Before that, I had no French guarantor but lived with French friends. And gosh guarantor makes a huge difference, I am paying less for a better house. We get rejected much much less and agencies look at our files more seriously. Even though before I was living in Lyon and now I am in Paris. But this is my experience and keep in mind I am from Iran. Recollections may vary ;)

    So looking forward to the full tour of your new apartment, from glimpses we've had it looks super. Astonishing the conditions singles especially have to live in. My aunt had a studio in the 14th, quite a lot bigger than anything you've shown - but the traffic was very noisy... All good wishes, NX

    Apartmets of Paris: my aunt's (actually my mother's best friend) mother lived in a vast apartment nr Notre Dame, an old building with a porte cochere. She was a great age, lived with the curtains drawn against the light, and as a girl had lived in Louisiana, later marrying a Frenchman. She had 12 children, of whom my "aunt" was the youngest, and the only one to remain single and work. She also lived to a great age, over 100. I still miss her. One of her sisters lived in a less grand apartment, rue de Grenelle, but I noticed all these ladies were treated like queens by their families.... Scuse the diversion!

    Been living in Paris for the past three years and honestly landlords are ripping people off, you pay high dollar for subpar quality and fittings and there’s usually extremely poor ventilation and mold issues everywhere

    I just want to say, you just popped in to my 'suggestions' and I thought ..here we go...ANOTHER useless apt hunting video...I WAS WRONG! Im only 2 minutes in and it's a winner ...and the biggest reason...YOU SHARE PRICING. So many hide it like it's a secret. Thank you. Now back to the video!

    It is true there are so many scammers if you search from internet. I was lucky with coworkers from the past and they were physically able to check the agency i used to secure the apartment with amazon box size elevator with modern kitchen and landlord with some level of English…

Woops,saw 700E at minute 12.. Sorry. But remember that for most people, money is the most important factor.
