Pentecostal born and raised here. I remember being a little girl and watching a pastor say that he wanted to pray for people who needed dental work. He said God was going to fill their cavities with gold. I sat in awe, fully believing this, and wanted to inspect each person’s mouth that had been prayed for. I believed in the power of God. Fast forward to 16 years old when I gave my life to Jesus. After experiencing back pain, a chiropractor told me that it was because my hips were out of alignment. Later that week during a “healing service,” I walked to the front for prayer and relayed this to my pastor. He sat me in a chair and put my feet in another in front of me. He then told me that this was happening because one of my legs was longer than the other. Very confidently, he asked me if I wanted to be taller or shorter (I forget what I answered) then lifted one of my legs and let it drop back into the chair. He then had me stand up and, asked how my back felt. With him and the entire church staring at me expectantly, I lied and said it felt better (I felt absolutely nothing) and the whole church exploded into praise. I felt so bad for lying but never forgot that. I questioned all of the supposed "miracle healings" that were happening in the church, and even heard later that he became full of pride, claiming that he was the one performing the miracles. I do believe God heals but I question what’s going on in some of these churches. And now that I know my Bible a little better, I absolutely do not believe God was filling people’s cavities with gold. I did come to know the Lord and love him in a Pentecostal church, but I so disagree with the extrabiblical teachings and goings-on that are rampant in some charismatic circles.
I had a similar experience. Childhood pentecostal church. Sunday school teacher tells us that it pleases God to speak in tongues, who wants to please God? Of course an 11 YO wants to please God so I volunteered. So I started to pray and ask God for the gift. After a while nothing happened. The teacher started to apply pressure, it was time to go to church but we could not leave because we were waiting for God to move me in tongues. I could feel myself turning red with embarassment. Then I just spit some gibberish out. The teacher was giddy with praise and class was over. But like you, I felt guilty, but also was wondering about the reality of the faith if there was no way to tell the real from the false. I started to make me wonder if the 'born again' experience could be the same way - not being able to know if it was real or just made up. Needless to say, after really becoming born again, I have spoken against charismatic teaching as fraudulent.
@@dougdoesit3013 Similar story to both of you, but at church camp. I was born, raised, and still go to an AoG church. Even though I'm now reformed and lean much more cessationist. Thankfully, my pastor is very biblical. Expositional, preaches against much of the "excess" in the charismatic movement, etc. We also have no tongues, or running around, and other charismania. In fact, we used to have 2 or 3 people every week shouting out in tongues before he came to our church (around 25 years ago). Shortly after he arrived, he stopped everything, walked up to the podium and said that biblical tongues are accompanied by a translation, and there was no translation present. That put an end to it. Anyway... back to the church camp story. It was obviously a pentecostal church camp, and at the end of every service they'd do the music and prayer circles and people would be speaking in tongues and falling over and all that stuff. I avoided it, never spoke in tongues my whole life, etc but one of these nights while praying for others the circle "turned on me" lol and suddenly they were all around me praying. After several minutes I finally just fell over to make it end, then laid their awkwardly for a few minutes before I got up and went back to my seats. Then one of the other kids, later that night when talking to our room counselor said that I had spoke in tongues too. I felt it was too awkward/rude to say no I didn't so I just smiled and nodded. For a long time I thought something was wrong with me. Everyone talking about what "God had told them" and speaking in tongues, and getting "slain in the spirit"... I thought that I just wasn't as "holy" or "christian" as they were. Years later, and most of those kids that were always falling over and speaking in tongues aren't even in a church anymore. The one in particular that said I had spoke in tongues to the counselor had a couple kids out of wedlock, one in high school, doesn't go to church, etc. We played high school football together and I see him from time to time. He's a nice guy, and we're friends/acquaintances and all that. But it just made me realize alot of what I saw and made me feel like I was "missing out" on, was manufactured and for show. I didn't know "cessationism" was a thing. I just thought the pentecostal view on it was "what the bible said". Just like I grew up thinking the Left Behind version of the end times was just "what the bible said". So thankful for ministries like Justin's, or Ligonier, or Apologia that at least show there are other biblical interpretations so I know that it's something I need to study / look into. Not that I just go "oh they must be right", but at least made me aware that the way I was raised wasn't the only possible view on different doctrines.
@@MansterBear Appreciate that account, I concur with much of your experience. So I will tell just one more. Fast forward and I am a new Christian. Learning some but not steadfast in doctrine. A co-worker invited me to his church, it was Pentecost Sunday but I didn't know it. Everyone was jumping and jiving and his big intimidating pastor was insisting I knew nothing about the spirit unless I was baptized and spoke in tongues. Practically drug me to the front of the church and I got mobbed by the prayer circle. I was unsure about the whole thing but as they were all laying hands on me and praying in tongues I simply stood submissively and prayed silently, "Lord, if this is what you require I wish to obey, but if this is not from you, please protect me." They prayed until they ran out of tongues. They got tired of jumping around and drifted away. And when I opened my eyes that big ugly pastor was glaring at me with hatred and practically threw me out of the place. I went back to my church, told my pastor abou the shocking experience, and he said, "We have a book in our library by John MacCathur. You may want to read it." I did, and never looked back.
I thank the good Lord that He moved in me and got me out of the false church. All of your ministries: Fighting for the Faith, The Messed Up Church, and Justin Peter's Ministry have and has had a HUGE difference in my walk. God bless you all!!!
I was raised a Jehovah's Witness, became a Christian and was taken in by the prosperity gospel. Now I listen to you fine brothers. I praise You, Lord Jesus!
Please pray for my Uncle C & his wife A (my aunt). They have been JWs for yrs. Thank you! Want to see them born again in a biblically sound church/rich doctrine & in Heaven😊
I was healed of epilepsy which I had for 5 years. I have brain scans & was on anti-siezure medicine. I had a time of prayer, ending up in a tear-filled heap on my kitchen floor, begging God to heal the epilepsy so I could work again & help my Husband. I had a piercing feeling of sorrow for an ongoing sin in my life & my prayer immediately switched to repentance. Unlike some times when I did not feel as sorry, this was so genuine. I remembered starting with the request for healing & I felt as though God granted that request but I kept taking my medicine for 2 weeks until realizing I truly was healed. That was April 2015 & I remain free of epilepsy. I have other health issues. I can't explain why I was healed of 1 thing & not these other things except to say that the condition came about around the same time as when I began slipping out of serving God & that my repentence was so sorrowful & genuine. I don't know because I did not connect them at the time I repented. God is real & His mercy is deep & personal.
Praise the Lord for your healing. I believe you're right about the repentance. When I accepted the Lord as my Savior , He healed me instantly of my intense hatred of my mom but I've had to work through my hate of my dad. I think the Lord healed me of my hatred of my mom because it would have hindered my walk with the Lord more than my feelings of my dad. Maybe this is also the reason He healed you of epilepsy because it was the biggest hinderance also. Blessings.
I hope you are telling the truth. Epilepsy is virtually incurable and often times progressive. Seizure medications only help prevent new seizures, they can't reverse the damage that's been done to the brain. Its incredibly dangerous for an epilepsy patient to stop their medications outside the supervision of their neurologist. So anyone reading this, I pray this person's story is true. I dont doubt that God can heal any disease if He chooses. But, if you are taking seizure medications, please do not stop taking them without consulting with your doctor first.
@DuffyWayne I took Keppra for 5 years. I have 1 brain scan during which I had a small seizure which doesn't always happen But even though I sensed I was healed, I did not believe which is why I kept taking my medicine for 2 weeks. I decided I should trust enough to test it. I've held on to my partial bottle of Keppra as a reminder. I do agree with you. It wasn't as risky for me to try because my seizures were primarily a involuntary jerking that made it difficult to carry things & such. And the occasional absence seizure that left me extremely exhausted & drowsy. So I did not have grand mal seizures & such. I resonate with & appreciate you expressing caution to others.
I’m so glad you are discussing this trickery. After my mother passed away, my grieving father joined a new church. They convinced him of many miracles, the most prominent was the claim of a short leg miraculously lengthened. I have muscular dystrophy and my father insisted the pastor could heal me. I want no part in any of it. I believe in miracles, but I will never demand anything of God. What happens if the so called ‘healed’ go home and realize they were not healed? This could especially test the faith of a new believer.
My husband and I came out of this too! And we love all 3 of you and have been so blessed your ministries!!! We praise and thank God for each one of you! The Lord is sooo good!!!
My testimony would never be complete without ALL THREE of you guys. The first time I ever heard the truth. The first time I really heard the real Gospel. I probably say that too much, but I feel like I can't say it enough. I appreciate your sincerity when you prove these guys wrong. You guys are the best at squaring up to the viewer and telling us when we're being taken for a ride. That's priceless! I was sitting here thinking I would've been one of those leg trick believers if it weren't for bold, faithful preachers and teachers of the word. You guys are literally my Three Musketeers of who to go to about different issues. Your content is priceless and I pray the Lord wills you all to continue. 💪
You guys along with other leading TH-camrs have helped millions for generations on what has happened to the church and churches. The industries and cults are mad that they are getting exposed and don't want to give up. Thank you men
Grew up in a Pentecostal church that had a Word/Faith bent. Long story short, today I am solidly Reformed and Cessationist. I can thank all the abuses I observed in the Pentecostal church for where I am today.
On a brighter note it legitimately gives me joy to see all of us coming together as brothers and sisters in Christ, linking arms beyond distinctives and interpretations and remembering we're all united in the Gospel and standing for truth.
That’s probably our future tbh. All of these cross-denominational movements might be what recategorizes everyone regardless of background or secondary issues.
@@jaymie-lee Things we deem errors are not grave enough to cause disunity over. I don't agree with the L in Tulip regarding Reformed Theology. Would you break fellowship with me over that?
If all the parties are preaching the Gospel. The problem is you never hear the Gospel out of Todd Whites mouth or Kenneth Copeland or Bill Johnson or any of those other false teachers.
God bless your life, brother Justin. May the LORD continue to grant you wisdom and discernment. You’re a blessing to us. A gift from God. I thank Him for filling you with bravery and such skill to make these videos. Love from Brazil!
I second your gratitude Kozar. Mr. Peters, Rosebrough, and including you Kozar as well. I thank God for all 3 of you as i have learned so much from you and am able to practice christian apologetics and explain sound biblical doctrine to my son who has been questioning a lot. So thankful for your teachings
Todd White talks about Todd White. His ministry is devoted to Todd White. "look what I did.. uhh, in your name.. healing and all". "Who are you? I don't know you"... "i'm Todd Lord. Todd the leg stretcher, you know, Todd".. "No, still don't recognize you" "be gone".
A scary thought. Worse yet, he’ll discover that his deeds and wealth have been nothing but trash compared to true heavenly wealth and glory. It isn’t that he’ll be embarrassed or suffering, it’s also that there will be no joy in having memories of earthly comfort. It will be like having prided in owning Monopoly Bucks.
And, according to him, he doesn't even sin anymore. Sounds like the young noble that asked Jesus what to do to be saved and that he had already kept the whole law perfectly.
Today, a brother in Christ got healed! God did it! He had 4 cm short difference on the right leg, then the left one. God healed him! God fixed this issue through a team of doctors and a success surgery! Glory to God for the wisdom He gave to those in such positions! A 4 cm difference would've given Todd White quite a fright!
That pulling your leg routine should be easy for people to recognize as the pulling the wool over your eyes gimmick. But people are afraid of confrontation.
He used to promote the Lord and acts of the Holy Spirit but nowadays he mostly promoted the books, DVDs and bling he sells in his site. If you followed him over the years and bought all the stuff he was selling, then you would have spent almost a million dollars and needed about 5 Costco sized warehouses for the stuff you bought from him.
Since 1980, when I first saw multiple legs and arms grow out , with only a command, I have also repeated the method many, many times in Zimbabwe. God is faithful to His Word. By His stripes we were healed . He still watches over His words. Remove yourself from those that have a form of godliness, but deny the power of God. Be a believer. Eternal death and torment is real.
@hendriknieuwenhuizen4397 you will not be damned because you demand proof for miracles and healings. We are damned by rejecting the Messiah Jesus and His sacrifice as the sinless Son of God.
Loved this. I’m subscribed to all 3 and love it when they put out a new video. Keep up the good work because it is important! Shout out to the messed up church… One of my favorite things about your videos is at the end when you have that cat that says “Hhheeyyy” 😂
Please include my mom, Jonalyn, your prayers. She'll undergo a major surgery in a couple of hours. Include her medical team and doctors too! If anyone is seeing this, please. Praises and Glory be to God alone! 🙏
Where can one find a good ole gospel preacher? I have found that most preachers just preach about anything other than the gospel of the grace of God found in I Corinthians 15:1-4. Most just preach about sin even though God is not imputing the sins of the world (II Corinthians 5:19) and has given forgiveness of all sins to all believers of the gospel of the grace of God (Colossians 2:13). I believe that it is wonderful that believers of the gospel are forever saved (Ephesians 1:13-14) and that we are sealed by the Holy Spirit until the day of our redemption. So why are preachers not preaching this wonderful message every day of the week and twice on Sundays?
@@TheHeavenTestdotnet-gr2ou on some of Doreen Virtue's videos (in the description portion) she links to a website that lists Biblically sound churches by state. The website is curated by someone else. Hope that is helpful to you.
I'm not defending Todd White. Just want to get that out of the way. BUT, as someone who was married to a drug addict, walking/driving up to strangers and asking for drugs is VERY normal. Especially if they are strung out already. To be honest, it is a scary, terrifying experience, and I'm so thankful to God for saving me out of that lifestyle! And protecting me while I was deep in it. It could have been SOOOOO much worse!
Excellent point! When they were discussing the inconsistencies of Todd's testimony they made a lot of errors because they don't know nothing about the world of criminals. all the inconsistencies are actually very minor. I agree todd is a false teacher no good, we should stick to attacking his doctrine and bad ministry methods
Thank you SO much, for sharing this coversation with us. Listening to you three is like eating a good , healthy meel !! Please do this more often, and bless you 🙏🏼❤️
Thank you! This was a blessing. Im a little confused about the comments regarding Jordan Riley/Real Talk. He praises faithful leaders in our circles and seems solid. Look forward to your discernment. Lord bless you all.
Thank you brothers for sharing. This was greatly helpful and needed. Holly Pivec wrote an article a little while back saying something very similar about Dr Brown. God bless you all 🙏

I’m a nonbeliever, so I don’t have any dog in this fight. However, I have followed Michael Brown’s role in the NAR movement. Brown, leveraging his doctorate, provides the intellectual underpinning for the continuationist narrative. He practices plausible deniability by claiming he’s so busy reading the bible in Hebrew and writing books that he does not know anything about the NAR crackpots. If you lie down with dogs you run the risk of catching fleas. Brown associates with some of the most egregious proponents of crackpot Christianity including Todd White. He is friends with Sid Roth and has hosted “Its Supernonsense”. He was a supporter of Mike Bickle and had shown himself to lack discernment with his friendship of numerous fallen pastors. All these NAR prophets never see the dodo before it hits the fan. Funny that.
What’s funnier is that if you’re somewhat familiar with Scripture, there are whole chapters devoted to warning against this exact type of foolish behavior and associations. While I pray you come to know the gospel for you personally, your comment as a non-believer is a further indictment because it’s obvious even without needing a theological lens.
Very well said! I appreciate your comments! I am a believer, but sometimes non-believers have more discernment and aren't so gullible to swallow anything coming down the pipes with a shiny Christian sticker on it!
By promoting the idea that we can heal ourselves or manifest desires through sheer willpower, it can lead people away from seeking necessary medical treatment or making rational decisions. Moreover, these communities can sometimes take on cult-like characteristics, with charismatic leaders and a strong us-vs-them mentality. It’s crucial to approach such claims with a healthy dose of skepticism. While the mysteries of God are indeed fascinating, they should not be conflated with mystical or pseudoscientific beliefs. By understanding the origins and development of mysticism, we can better expose and disarm these misleading narratives. Great podcast Gentlemen! 😊🙏🏼
A former best friend of mine went off the deep end following Todd White and the other conman known as Benny Hinn. He turned against his entire Church and started going to a church that staged miraculous events. Feathers falling from the air conditioning vents, "golden dust" that came from contact with objects, and other things in that church. (Angels don't lose feathers, and they appear as human, except for Cherubim, and Seraphim, which DO have wings. They are perfect, which means they don't shed feathers whatsoever.) He supposedly "healed" people, a guy we knew wearing glasses. His poor eyesight was "healed". His "healing" lasted about a day, before he was wearing them again. If you tried to reason with my friend, he'd cut you out of his life. Meanwhile he and his wife (an absolute sweetheart of a person) were hitting Xanax very hard, along with adderall. I pray he came to his senses.
I dont think you guys are mean, i think you tell the TRUTH. And the truth is hard to swallow for a lot of people. I really appreciate all of your hard work, thanks for making these videos. ❤ God bless you.
Thank you for your ministry. Been confused and turned around for several years. With all the churches and leaders going down, hasn’t helped at all. I found you a few months ago and just thank God for you because you’re having a great effect on my life. I’ve found Voddie Bachman, too. I know you two teach the Bible! God bless you!!
The best one was when Jesse Duplantis tells us that Jesus came to him, crying and needed his advice and Jesse felt bad for Jesus I mean, I can’t believe that the Almighty God coming to him for advice the one that made us the one I could destroy us the one that loves us, went to Jesse for advice how come you don’t come to nobody else and all these preachers speak their tongues and speaking to Jesus like if they’re best friendsI talk to Jesus he doesn’t come and talk to me or if he does, I don’t hear him lol anyway thank you Mr. peters for all you do
I believe in the Gifts of the Spirit for today. But I do not operate in them. I find it funny that the ones that claim to be the most able to use the gifts of the Spirit are most Biblically illiterate people on the planet. I am talking about how they can't even give a sound explanation of the gospel. I myself have some reformed beliefs. It's the limited atonement part i don't fully grasp yet probably due to my KJV Baptist upbringing and need time and good material to read.
At the 50:35 mark when the brother is talking about him "Knowing or not Knowing he was shot" That is a real thing, While I was in Afghanistan there were times that our service members did NOT know they were shot, until the adrenaline started coming down. Our bodies do weird things in a flight or fight reaction. So yes it is possible to be shot and not know it right away. I'm not defending Todd White, just clarifying a point of fact.
That’s exactly my question.. where is their accreditation and education and proof they are qualified to teach .. this goes for LOTS of churches like the ARC etc
Education? One doesn’t NEED formal education to teach, the apostles weren’t formally educated…. yes they shouldn’t be a novice, yes they should be tested first, all of the things in the pastoral epistles, but formal education isn’t in any of those lists.
Todd white was at James River church I think last year or early this year, supposedly doing a ritual with the Church people for people to get healed and it was so creepy.
That' the issue with Brown and other NAR leaders, the "willful" disregard or lack of discernment. And when one of their own fall in some scandal, they then find themselves at a loss questioning how they could have missed the signs and deceived when they themselves enabled bad behavior (with their "I don't care" mentality) for the sake of their hyper-sensitive doctrine.
It was a joy to see the three of yall together ❤ you guys should do that more aften. I would also like to say that here in Houston TX their are no men such as yourselves.we have more women pastor's now,and the men that are pastors don't even try to get it right.I guess what im trying to say is there are many of who rely on you guys for bringing Gods word. The words Thank you would never be enough.😢i mean lets face you guys set the bar.we thank you
I've given Brown the benefit of the doubt so many times. No longer. I'm just one person, but I no longer believe Brown is just misunderstood. He's either naive, with the discernment of a child, or just plain deceitful. The only thing more unbelievable are his defenders in the comment section. It's no wonder that so many charlatans get into the charismatic tomfoolery business. People absolutely eat it up. It's easy money. The number of ignorant people out there is astounding.
I had a visting pastor, with a church I no longer attend, pull this on me,and call me up.I cant recall his name.I have seen most of these false wolves in person.Thankyou for calling them out,I happened to make a very nice tame comment on Kenneth Copeland the other day,boy did people come for me.I just laughed.I figure Im doing something right.Again thankyou Justin.❤
Michael Brown is a trip. I saw on the American Gospel channel the roundtable w/ Holly Pivec & Doug Geivett w/ Michael Brown. I was so embarrassed for MB. He was very condescending. TY for continuing to expose these charlatans. God Bless you all. I thank Jesus Christ for opening my eyes to His truth.
I’m Pentecostal and I’m so disappointed with many people in this circle of the church. I’m very discouraged with all of it. I wish Dr. Brown would stand against Kenneth Copeland et al and call them all out!!! I pray he does! I’m not a cessationist but I appreciate you calling out the fraudulent goings on that brings a reproach on the name of the Lord.
@@TheCoaster78 Jesus healed 10 lepers but only one did what Jesus told him to do. NINE went to hell. So what is the point of your comment/question? Why would Jesus heal anything of a non-believer? Todd White is an enigma. He was bipolar, schizophrenic, suffered from ADHD, was suicidal, and yet the Marines took him because they needed a few good men? Are you kidding me !
Jordan shoots from the hip too frequently and that occasionally results in collateral damage. He seems 'Reformed' but relies upon John MacArthur too much. MacArthur calls himself a 'leaky Dispensationalism' and is not really Reformed Winger is a Calvary Chapel guy so he's a Dispy and a Continuist. Until recently he was pretty wishy washy and doesn't like Calvinists. (He's friends with Leighton Flowers). He has shown some backbone with his work on the Passion mistranslation and his recent exposé on Benny Hinn. He has said that Joel Osteen, Bill Johnson and a few other false preachers are (still) brothers ... Time will tell
I watch Jordan Riley a lot. I really like him. Where is he in error ? I don’t agree with a couple of things he’s said but nothing major. I like Mike winger too, don’t agree with everything he says either but I did see videos where he thinks Todd White is a brother in Christ, which is concerning.
@Tawanda99 Mike prefers to err on the side of assuming that someone is a believer if they seem to have a personal understanding of the gospel message. He separates this from their public sermons. I can’t remember the context of when he said that, but I do know that Mike would never endorse Todd’s errors. In fact, Mike’s going through a bit of a discernment phase, so it could be that he’s learning how hurtful these wolves really are. He used to hold the “just be faithful and preach” stance like some hecklers here have. Not anymore. There may yet be a Todd White video from him.
After listening to what they said about Jordan Riley, without giving us reasons why they say what they said, I’m beginning to question whether I should continue watching them. I don’t see any difference between Jordan Riley and Steve Kozar, they both not pastors they both TH-camrs. Whats sad about this is, you see Jordan Riley telling people to watch Justin Peters , endorsing him, and Justin telling people that they shouldn’t watch his videos. This is just sad really, I literally feel like I should stop watching all of the discernment ministries because of how they treating each other , like you have to be in their camp for them to endorse you.At this point I feel like just reading God’s word and watching sermons than to spend my time watching people who can’t even treat each other like brethren.

Praise the Lord He healed you. God's will... Hallelujah!
Blessings.
Awesomr testimony & glad for your healing! Sovereign GOD is seriously awesome 😊
I have 1 brain scan during which I had a small seizure which doesn't always happen
But even though I sensed I was healed, I did not believe which is why I kept taking my medicine for 2 weeks.

As always, bless you brother Justin, for all you're doing for the Kingdom.

The worst part is that he does not preach the Gospel
Yes he does. Listen

Funny that.
Hi there.
Can I ask what it is that you don't believe?

I wish you were a Christian because you’re so well spoken and can discern false Christianity. 👌🏼😊
I’m going to pull out Occam’s razor and just assume he’s a bald-faced liar at this point. There’s no way he doesn’t know, he’s in on the hustle
Steven's voice is really calming, isn't it? Add good theology to it and it makes for great content 😊😊
Reformed Theology for the win
Baptismal Regeneration is a problem 😬
Justin's voice is also calming.
Lutherans have "good theology??"
Thank you, Justin, Chris and Steve. Love you, my brothers in Christ
They are perfect, which means they don't shed feathers whatsoever.)
He supposedly "healed" people, a guy we knew wearing glasses. His poor eyesight was "healed".
His "healing" lasted about a day, before he was wearing them again.

In fact, Mike’s going through a bit of a discernment phase, so it could be that he’s learning how hurtful these wolves really are. He used to hold the “just be faithful and preach” stance like some hecklers here have. Not anymore. There may yet be a Todd White video from him.
@@Tony_Starks-1 how is he any more arrogant than Justin?
Hi Justin..we thanks for your ministry I am learning alot
If they can make legs longer I wish they could add three inches to my height. That should be easier since they don’t have to match me to someone else.
I would love to see the 3 of you on a Prophecy Bingo episode!
