My mom has one of these with the 4 cylinder and it's a very nice car. The Fusion is a massive improvement over the Ford Contour, that it replaced. If you're looking for a family sedan, the Fusion should definately be on your shopping list.

My first financed car was a black 2007 Ford Fusion Se 4cyl with the 6 disc CD changer. Loved that car. Got it when it was 4 years old with 43,000 miles on it. A little over 2 years later, it got totaled in a rear end crash :( I miss that car alot

Two features he forgot to mention are the CD storage in the glove compartment and the dual storage bin underneath the console. Top for cell phone and lower for more CDs or odds and ends, and finally the passenger seat folds forward and flat giving amazing space when the back seats are folded down too. About nine feet long from rear trunk area forward to the dash.

The idling in traffic is a killer, but on the highway about 27 mpg is consistent. Now, I understand Ford is going to stop selling cars and make more SUV like automobiles. Nice car I just bought one a month ago. I sold my 03 dodge neon SXT and bought an 08 fusion SEL and I love it. Just curious tho I thought the keyless entry was standard on the SEL models? I noticed this fusion didnt have it.
@Jakeman2164 This could be true...but dealer could have also picked it up at auction as well. Looks like a Job #2 built 07 since it has the audio jack and charging port in the glovebox. Always liked the Fusion after that point, especially with the fold flat passenger seat. Quite handy! Too bad they deleted that on 2011s.
my mother owns this same car except in white and it has a different rim design and it has a spoiler, but now she got a new vehicle and i got the Ford Fusion
@AzNKiLLzoNer The rev limiter still functions in neutral. All modern cars have these rev limiters to keep you from doing damage or possibly seizing the engine.
it has a major flaw the ETB is junk had to deal with this a few times on mine,it was due to be a recall but ford decided not to,the slightest electrical discharge will damage it,sadly it wont/will throw a code unlike mine had to catch it with a hand scanner that showed real time data as the car is drove.
Are these 2006-2009 Fusions reliable? I want one with the Sport Appearance Package but my concern is reliability & let's face it cars aren't reliable like they used to be.
+LyoneC Well I have a 2006 with 240,000kms and has yet to leave me stranded. The work that has needed to be done to it includes: New shocks, new battery, new tires,... I think you get the picture. The only major thing was a belt tensioner. I live in Canada and in -40 it starts every time without being plugged in.
@coolaid2471 i am getting this car with the v-6 awd. if you get it used its a good first time car. im 17 and i am getting a new 2012 one when it comes out. i would recommend it. i test drove the 2011. awesome
@coolaid2471 I think so, very reliable considering it shares the same architecture, and parts with the Mazda 6. Plus you can find one used that is inexpensive. Or maybe Ford Mo. Co. will have some incentives on new models.

The sunroof is optional on SE and SEL models. The Fusion doesn't offer cooled seats, but heated seats are optional on SEL models.

Aside from a slightly new interior, new front end, and new wheels, and new engines, the Fusion is basically unchanged from 2006 to 2012.
