Maserati seemingly nailed the parts that matter the most to the people that might actually buy it. The rest one can hope will improve over time with the occasional update in the short time it will take to depreciate to our mortal level lol
The software seems to have decent front-end design and a lot of cool options but I think it's not optimized for the hardware in the car. Maserati either needs better hardware (CPU) or less software complexity to improve response. Going from a Tesla to this would drive you nuts! Good first try though!
Unfortunately USA does not get the Chinese EVs. In Thailand I have the EV MG Cyberster convertible 2 seat roadster. Dual motor 544hp 0-60 in 3.2 sec. for an equivalent 72,000 USD. Pretty amazing car.
Great duo for this. I love the back and forth. As for the car, I dont like the touchscreen. I like that I can tilt my Tesla screen towards me (with a mod). I wish all EV's had that kind of modding in mind. Granted, you don't really do that to a 200k car though. But for touchscreen oriented vehicles, screen tilt is a must !! Seems they need to calibrate regen and braking heavily.
I would think that some software updates will fix all your complaints. Sometimes people are too quick to judge a product before the manufacturer has a chance to complete or improve the product. I think that Maserati will address all complaints as the model years progress
So given that Mercedes now says that they're going to kill EQS and merge the next EV and ICE S-Class with 2 platforms under a common body, was Maserati right all along?
@@otm646 exactly. They'll be as different as the Modena or Trofeo is to the current Boxster. Nobody's begging for a direct comparison between those cars.

I want one, but not at $200k. Couldn’t this be more competitively priced.? I see a $100k gorgeous topless EV with an $100k Maserati badge tariff in price. Sell 3 -4 X as many vehicles each year to make your money. Follow the marketing of the 2015 Macans S model, they sold near 60k units that year plus close to 8-10 k units of Turbos at over $100K. Porsche had a huge hit in ‘15-‘16 and made lots of dough with the Macans. Maserati should do this car in volume too with their top end model sold at whatever ridiculous price they can get. It has 750 horsepower, three motors, torque vectoring, drift mode, adaptive air suspension, usable rear seats for a cabriolet, and it's silent (which is a plus for me). It holds its own at that price as a grand tourer - it's not a sports car. I'd take it over a 911, Corvette, or any other ICE sports car out there because they're ICE and I don't want an ICEV.
