Just finished The Eyes Are The Best Part, and boy, that body horror was nasty! 👁And the commentary was tackled in such a creative way, loved it! Added a bunch to my TBR, but most excited for Grey Dog from how you describe it here
I just finished The Blonde Dies First, and I agree… too many feelings, not enough slashing lol I wanted more horror from Unmothers too 😵💫 I was getting frustrated with horror, so I switched over to The Wedding People and Fat Witch Summer (surprise of the year so far) and absolutely loved them both. Just delightful!
I felt like I knew more about those characters than I know myself by the end of it 😂😂 Fat Witch Summer sounds so freaking cute!! Def adding that to my list. Thank you!!

Have you read “I love you so much it’s killing us both” by Mariah Stovall? I haven’t seen a ton of people talking about it but I think it’s very unique so far and I’m trying to form my overall consensus as I get close to finishing it!

Agreed! I gave ‘Incidents Around the House’ 2 stars. Though I finished it, it felt “blah” for me. I am not sure if it’s because of the CA themes, the awful adult characters or the boring parts. Just not my thing.

Funny, I had the same experience with Manhunt just recently. I started it and just realized I was not in the headspace for it, so I had to put it down for now.

Ever since the movie The VVitch I’ve needed more witches on the dark side 😬 Also appreciate your take on Incidents- I borrowed the audiobook and DNF’d because I couldn’t take the child voice narration but now I’ll skip reading it as well.

Our dog does the same thing with his food. Like, my bedroom floor is somehow more appealing than his clean, stainless steel bowl 🤷🏻♀️ Isn’t it the best when your spooky season books are hitting the spot??

I gave Incidents Around the House two stars. It was such a disappointment for me. I had a great time with Heads Will Roll, too. Great wrap-up!
