- 1, you will see two same AV cables, one connect to device AV in; another connect to reverse camera AV in
2, connect with the triger wire, you can find this in wiring diagram (triger wire used to detect if in triger gear, so it will supply 12V to power the camera)
3, connect to another AV in and reverse camera power supply connector.
4, then there will left 2 power + and 1 power -;
2 power + wire to tail light +
1 power - wire to car body (GND) or tail light -
P.s this is a night vision camera you need to select AHD 25 HZ signal, if other signal it won't show the image.

Just finished installing the rear camera on my Prado... Well... This is NOT about wiring... This is about disassembling the whole car from the dashboard to the back door... Took me the whole day. And the steps above took me only 10 minutes thereof... Thanks to Toyota - they use a good plastic parts! Only a few broke while this operation.
Don't be fooled: this is NOT an electrical job. This is about finding out how to correctly disassemble all the trims and not to break too many of the holding clips. Good luck!

I was trying to get through the rubber and I damaged the end of the cable. I decided to cut and run the wire because it was thinner, now I bought a new P2 power cable. Can I just cut it too and splice it to my old one? I saw that there are 3 wires.

I bought a CarPlay with the same wiring, but the screen dose not have trigger wire I just connect the yellow one to another yellow wire and the end of the other wire it’s like aux cable I but in the screen, and even I though I did the connection to the tail light I still can’t get a clear image on the screen it’s still so unclear

I believe in the video, when they said, 'tail light' they meant to say, reverse light (on your tail light assembly). When you put your car in reverse, the white reverse light goes on, thus giving trigger positive signal. I haven't installed mine yet, but that's the plan. If I'm wrong, please someone post any corrections.
Followed the installation guide exactly, but when I put the car in reverse I don't get an image. I can use the HD2 Streaming app and the camera works but has no tracking lines. Any help would be appreciated.

Hello brother really need you help I have a bmw f20 with android head unit I have three wires with the head unit CCD+12v, BACK & ACC which one do I connect the red wire with yellow av too and do I need to connect power wire yellow red wire to reverse light for it to work. My cars a manual if that changes anything.

Hi, need to prepaer an 220V/110V to 12V adaptor, then wire (1), ACC&B+ to 12V+; (2), Ground to 12V- will be ok, its for home test.

hello, the trajectory line can be on/off on factory settings.
Some cameras are adjustable. They have a small green cable that needs to be cut to display the trajectory lines. I am thinking mainly of Chinese reversing cameras.

The seller of the dashcam says my camera will not work on the Android dashcam.
I find that hard to believe.
The only difference is that the AV-in on the dashcams they sell is a jack or a round 4 pin plug. I bet an adapter cable from RCA does the trick?

Same here. It's only the low res NTSC that works for me
Your headunit probably does not support AHD. NTSC = low resolution however should be fine for backup camera.
Hello, 1, check whether have reaction when in R, 2, if no reaction shows the Trigger wire not connected properly, 3, check the rear +/- whether wired connected.

they should come with the radio unit, then just wire it below the carpet or under the pillars
its a univeral power cords, different car model will equip different powe cord for plug and play installation, but the diagram and function for backup camera wiring logical are all the same.
cant get mine to work followed these steps, nothing comes up when in R
did your screen changes when to R? if not, shows the trigger wire not connected properly, once it connected correctly and with a round circul the screen will have reaction.

Brown wire went to key 1 and pink wire is remote wire to power amplifier.
Hello, the pink wire BACK is the trigger wire, the Key 1 is for steering wheel control purpose.

QUESTIONS: I have an '09 Corolla and installing 9" head unit. 1) Must the brake wire be connected to the black ground wire to by-pass emergency brake to watch videos while driving? 2) To have a camera icon on head unit and to see behind the car without being in reverse, did you connect the reverse trigger wire from RCA cable from rear camera to red Accessory wire and also the head unit reverse wire (mine is a brown wire) for when car is put in reverse? 3) I have two yellow RCA connectors from head unit. One connector is labeled 'CCD AVIN' and the other connector is labeled 'Aux-V'. The Camera RCA cable connector coming from the camera plugs into which of the two RCA connectors in order to establish a signal for the rear camera? 4) I have a pink wire from the head unit labeled, 'With protocol model output 12V can be connected to the camera'. Is this pink wire like an accessory wire for the rear camera to view behind the car with out being in reverse? Should I use this wire instead of the red accessory wire to have a camera icon on head unit and see behind the car without being in reverse? 5) I connected the RCA cables together at the head unit and the trigger wire to the red wire off of the RCA cable, but I get no reverse camera picture on the head unit. Hi, 1) usually in car settings or advanced settings you can uncheck the: can't watch video in motion; 2) to see reverse image must in reverse gear, as it will supply 12V power from reverse light; 3) The Backup cam port is pre defined, so just wire the backup cam port will be ok, RCA cable has CCD AV in probably also work, as its also for video in fuction; AUX usually for after market subwoofer extension use; 4) some car models' trigger wire was occupied by Canbus box wire, so need to peel off a little to wire with red wire; 5) change the backup AV port to the head unit backup av port, instead of using RCA port then see the effect.

I figured it out, but it's been over a year ago. Concerning your issue, do you have the input wire(s) connected to the back of the head unit? You may also have a ground issue, I know you have to ground a black wire from the camera. I'm sorry, but this is not fresh in my mind. Consider reviewing other TH-cam installation videos.

Hi, if the cable set has backup cam video in port, usually it was pre-defined, if not you can refer the diagram to find out the trigger wire.

Consigo adaptar, visto que nesse central de camera tem 4 saídas rca fêmea e um fio vermelho pra alimentação 12v, e no chicote com conector postmaster de 4 vias, será que dar certo, ou também tem um detalhe na instalação? Qual ? Esse chicote de 4 pinos foi de uma central android e eu quero fazer instalação nessa 360 numa First option MP5. Na verdade, já tentei várias vezes aqui e não deu certo, acho que até as câmeras da outra central android trabalha com 3v ou algo do tipo, acho que tem algum detalhe que não está batendo, e se trabalhar com 3v, lascou tudo, pq apliquei os 12v como nas outras centrais.

I'm also tried wiring the red signal wire attached to the yellow av cable up to the power of the tail light at one end, then the other end of the power wire attached to the yellow rgb is wired to the purple wire on camera harness and out of purple to reverse wire on head unit harness. Hello, this means it has a round circle, check the output AV cable and signal, the backup cam siganl must correspond with android head unit signal.

Have you gone into settings and set it to aftermarket camera as it might be on original equipment setting 🤷
You need to take live wire from reverse lamp
The power needs to come off the positive reverse wire in the boot/trunk of your car. That turns the camera on and tells the head unit to trigger the screen. It won't work if you have constant power to the camera.
@@robertjohn2249I have a camera not this one but I hooked up yellow connector and red wire to head unit to reverse trigger ran the wire to rear camera, tied bother little red wires together and ran those to the reverse wire and ground . I have a 2003 gmc sierra and when I put the truck into reverse it does nothing until I hit camera , but the camera not on unless I put it in reverse and hit the button 🤷🏼♂️🤷🏼♂️

if its upside down, you can go to factory setting (not commen setting), find out camera angle option then select the direction.

Hello, the yellow cable is for 12V+ Battery cable, no need to connect this for backup camera, our video showed connected is to make the screen works normal.
