Alright, my only theory as to the 7 hours 46 minutes in episode one is that it might have something to do with the entire run time of season/part 2? Thoughts?
I believe it's just the time before Prairie enters the new dimension, it's also how long we see Karim learn about and investigate the first day of the Michelle mistery, the first Zendaya cameo, the plane riddle, Nina talking to Pierre on the phone and being on the boat after (all of these stuff taking 7 hours and 46 minutes in the dimension's real time), right before the shotgun and subsequent travel. It could be that or how long before the octopus takes dominion over all dimensions... you never know with The OA.
What i gathered is :- When hap said to OA that where they are going is a place where everyone will call her OA but she won't believe it that's because they jumped into OUr dimension where OA's is called Brit(the actresse's real name) and in this new dimension OA is a show but in the other dimensions it was their lives . And that is the reason she would not believe that she is OA because she is an actress in the show...............wow just mind blowing.
It's not acid. Definitely DMT. People who have done it describe it as travelling dimensions, tinnitus in the ear (common with long term users of acid btw),
Karim seeing through the window was him seeing a big-picture perspective of how things really are - that Earth is like one big stage play, and we are all actors playing specific roles here, forgetful of our true inner selves. He was looking down upon the true nature of things, from the perspective of the soul or higher self which is talked about in the show.

Yes. I just wrote a wordier version of this take on the story. "Backstage" is more real than anything else, and you can be "reincarnated" into various dimensions that are worse or better for any individual soul, ranging from hellish where a literal serial killer has you captive to heavenly when you're successful and surrounded by friends, etc.
I liked the ending Because if I was in Steve's shoes, I would've done the exact same thing when I got there. Run after the ambulance and confront Hap. And it was acted so well. Steve finally found her. And they really stressed early on in the season how badly he wanted to. He was the only one that you didn't see any doubt throughout the season that she was still alive.
@@Valerie408n didnt the octopus say that he always has a brother sent to protect her? at first I thought it was Karim because the camera switched to him after the octopus said that but then the FBI guy happened but again steve would make more sense. Maybe she has different brothers/protectors in different dimensions?
I love how Steve hops on the ambulance and someone is like "hey! get out of here," but then like two seconds later the crisis of the guy jumping into an ambulance is over and everyone just gets real calm and serious like nothing odd happened.
Also he ran after the ambulance last episode of the first season saying "take me with you". So last episode of season 2 he reaches the moving ambulance and has been transported. Thought that was a cool mirror
Yeah see, I was confused about not needing the animals or things added to them that OA got in season one from the death chick in the afterlife zone. So BBA thing caught me too.
Watching the OA felt like reading an amazing book in one sitting as it blows you away with beautifully crafted stories backed by metaphysical theories that are actually plausible only to leave you behind with many, many more questions than answers. It actually O P E N S your mind. Anyone experienced this too?
OA was going to fall and suffer a concussion in one way or another in that universe. the bird caused something that was already predicted . the bird is just another piece in the game. It's like a loop of cause-effect-cause
I'm wondering if the white dove at the end that interrupted the OA's jump and changed the course of her interdimensional travel was sent by Khatun. Khatun gave her a white bird to swallow in season 1 - she gave her a choice to return or stay with her and the OA chose the hard course of returning. Maybe Khatun is either protecting her by changing her course or sending her to a different dimension to learn whatever lesson she needs to?
Lisa Serrioz I actually didn’t understand that! Like wtf did that bird interrupt? Cause she was floating, and the bird flew. But they were already going into that dimension since before the jump Hap said how they would go to a place where she loves him and doesn’t believe she’s the OA; so I don’t think the bird interrupted anything besides her cool levitating thing
@@RachetHoethend Exactly! She told Homer she was going to take him somewhere safe because she wanted to be with him finally. She was ascending before the dove closed the portal and she fell back to earth into the reality where she and Hap are married because she chose to return when Khatun gave her the choice. She knew if she stayed with Khatun where it was safe, she would shatter the echo and it could hurt everyone else she cared about

It would be safe with Khatun but when she realized staying with Khatun would mean she shattered her echo she had to return to the reality with Hap that she didn't want to enter.
I couldn’t feel much fun watching Stranger things after watching the OA.This show is so fresh and amazing and beautifully written and directed. I’m looking forward to watch season 3 soon.
The only reason it wasnt popular was NOT because it wasnt GOOD!!! It wasnt popular cause they did like ZERO advertising for the damn show. There are people Ive told to watch it that say how good it is and are surprised they NEVER heard of it.
I just finished the second season and honestly it has helped me feel better about the tragedies I have endured in my life. They talk about suffering as a natural part of life and that your particular method of suffering is what makes you who you are. I feel like the going advice these days is to just stay positive all the time, but these characters are allowed to be flawed and really feel it before ultimately rising up with their pain instead of trying to forget or feeling ashamed of it. I have always had a voice in the back of my mind asking why did I have to suffer through all that, and the show helped me feel a bit like what I have gone through could be an asset to use rather than a burden to carry.
I feel the same watching the second season but also that an alternative version of my life is there I just hv the reach or fight for it the way OA seek out Homer and to full understand exactly what was happening
it is a principles of buddhism. that we must accept our suffering to truly accept/love ourselves. the whole show is very rooted in buddhist mantras. if it makes you feel better about your time on earth, I would suggest looking into and reading about meditation and buddhism. very enlightening :)
Honestly I have started watching it again a second time after watching your explanation. You should do an episode by episode break down, man, you're just brilliant!
BBA specifically states they're in some sort of sleep in the other dimension. Not dead. She wouldn't have been able to feel them if they were dead... Also, I'm pretty sure that in OUR dimension, The OA is a TV show, but in the others it's their real lives. They jumped to our dimension at the end. My question is, Why wasn't Homer there when they jumped?
He the boys and bba.. minus Steven are all there just "not on set". Homer died before they left so he probably made it to the dimension they were supposed to go to or is furthest apart from the rest of the group.. I wonder where the other 3 ended up..the 3 from the underground
@@kristinwade344 I think Steve was the only one who traveled to that dimension (aka the real life) because they only showed him falling apart when they were performing the movements, and that's why only he's able to recognize Hap as he truly is in the original dimension.
However in season 2 we’re shown that the OA had travelled to Homer’s NDE dimension. Now it seems that they’ve travelled to Scott’s NDE dimension after witnessing Hap each a petal off of Scott’s (What I like to refer as) “cosmic garden” I think that considering Homer died first, he travelled there first. Clearly time is most likely the same in every dimension. Meaning that not one dimension is in the future nor in the past when compared to each other. We see this when BBA can feel OA’s presence through different dimensional space. Perhaps since Homer was technically first to leave, he ended up farther from the group. Since OA and Hap both left together. They ended up together in Scott’s NDE dimension. (And in Scott’s NDE we know they were intimate partners) It does appear that Steve was the last one to leave. And we’re shown that later in time he’s running after the ambulance as if he was late in some sense. He was trying to catch up. He was the last to wake up and needed to catch up quickly and somehow he did. (It’s possible he related the time he first chased after OA in an ambulance and this specific moment in time felt comically familiar) Perhaps Homer is near but not near enough to fully reach OA.

The last couple episodes were bad and the ending was just horrible! OA falls when a bird hits her onto a movie set and the bad guy ends up being her husband in real life? Blazing Saddles did it first and that was meant to be a joke. I loved most of it but knew they jumped the shark when a giant squid was talking through OA. I mean come on! 🤣🤣🤣🤣
@TheNinjaPicker - I liked it. - There was a story about a giant squid in Antarctica found by scientists, that seemed to have telekinetic powers of some sort. - It was labeled Organism 46B. -- FB "fact checkers" and Mainstream publications like Politico say it's "Conspiracy Theory". But seems like most of what they've told us is conspiracy in the past 5 yrs has turned out to be somewhat True if not ALL true.
All I have to say is.. Brit Marling is a fucking genius 💯👏👏and who ever else helped write the show. Like when Karim opened the rose window I was expecting something almost like heaven not the actual show😅But there couldn't have been a better ending than that. Definitely top 3.
How I said in another comment, many of this fans are not aware of how many other tv series and movies have this same idea. It’s not an original idea. It’s been done many times. There’s nothing genius about it. This is a combination of the series Quantum Leap, Sliders, Dead like Me, and movies Flatliners, What Dreams may Come, and Matrix.
The FBI guy from season 1 and the private investigator from season 2 might be her brother. In Episode 4 they said "she sends the OA her brother in each dimension as a protector." And the FBI agent said that he was there to help the OA.
isthismarvin remember when the octopus told oa she has protectors in each dimension? I think it’s clear Karim was the OA’s protector in /that/ dimensions. Maybe the FBI guy is her protector in that dimension (although my guess that it’s Steven in that dimension)
Almost a year later and I'm still mad about Netflix cancelling a show a whole lot more complex, existential and engaging than most of the stuff they put out. How does 13 Reasons Why get a new season while The OA got prematurely axed?
It really was. But at least JJ Abrams' creative insanity (Lost, etc) found a way to justify itself. The OA just isn't "tight" enough to earn another Season, I think. Netflix will have to decide.
I actually think this season would be better received than the first for many people. The whole 'unreliable narrator' factor pissed off some.. but not me. This season at least solved that, and also explained quite a lot of it for the viewers, and there was more action. I heard they planned 5 parts before getting part 1 picked up by Netflix. I'd really like to see them all aired. Brit Marling is a very unique film maker. I think she's awesome.
Homer's dream where he licked the skin mirrors one of Nina's which she described in a tape. Also, the new dimension with Jason's British accent and Brit's real name being called calls back to Scott's description of his NDE perfectly.
I disagree, I felt like the tape was describing the octopus, she says something about feeling a tongue up her ass right before the they turn the tape off and I highly doubt that was Homer.
In Part 1, Prairie repeatedly references herself preparing for “the mission”. When she comes to in D2, she asks the paramedic where she is, and he says “the mission”. Prairie relies “but WHERE?!?”, and he says “San Francisco”. Literally the Mission District.
The engineer and the medium were Nina and Pierre actually, they said that Nina was a medium that could communicate with the natural world, and the history of the first owners of the house was the same as them.

I like that the show is still a show and didn’t go ultra meta even though it looks that way. Jason isaccs and Brit Marling are not married in real life, and homer wasnt on the set with them with a fake gunshot wound. So it’s only mirroring our world, but in fact it’s a different dimension even from here.

Then they put her in the ambulance and they told him he couldn't come so he quietly said "i'm her husband"...but NOW we have Stephen...hope he slaps Hap...HARD
It was a certain order. When homer listens to the tape in haps office. Ruskin explains that the puzzle needs to to be completed in order for the person to see the reality out of the window. The medium found her husband in a coma and knew he had completed the puzzles in order. She waited for someone to come save her husband (take him out of the reality he entered) which is what Karim did for Michelle.
No black dude realize his world was only ininating from the higher dimension there his world was only like a stage compared to Bretts(oa) world. Every human mind contains the multiverse which means everyone exist on the other dimension but first have to wake up to it or die from this world. When he say the tunnel felt like a coffin it was they was hallucinating that reality or it was all a dream.
I'm curious about another similarity between the two OA seasons that I haven't seen discussed in any article or video. In both parts I and II, there's an underground well, or stream. In Part I, the stream runs through the underground bunker where the group is held captive. In Part II, the underground stream leads to a well in the House on Knob Hill. Is that significant? Also, I believe that, instead of Rachel finding Buc via the mirror in his room because of the open door, she finds him because in Part I, Buc had performed the 5 movements practicing them in the mirror before going to meet the group. Is it then possible to open portals simply by performing them before reflective surfaces, as a pool of water is reflective?
Well they've planned it out as a TV series, and visual clues are a big part of what they do as film makers. Some things are better as books, but some aren't. Genius takes time. I just hope Netflix aren't dumb enough to pull the plug before we get to see all five.

I binge watched it all today and it’s the only show on Netflix that I can’t stop watching episode after episode in one sitting. Before I knew it it was already over. Now I’ll have to wait forever to see what happens next 😭 Also I want to understand who Prairie/OA/Nina/Britt’s brother or protector is supposed to be that they mentioned briefly in the show or who the FBI guy and the random woman who travels dimensions are to the plot. 🤔 I always end up thinking a lot more about my life choices and who I am when I watch this show lol 😂
Karin is the brother, where he’s an EX-FBI agent and becomes a private detective, but in the other dimension he’s a actual FBI agent. In both dimension he helps OA somehow, and then Buck.
I don't think Homer will unlock OA's memories but rather make her believe again. Hap said to OA that she will remember but she won't believe. That's his plan when they travelled into that dimension, OA will no longer have her faith and so she won't resist him anymore. This also supports the warning the mysterious woman (also a dimensional traveller) provided to OA that Hap will break her. Basically next season, OA will not be a believer and Homer and the others will do their best to make her believe again. It's the opposite from season 1 and 2 where OA is the one who always try to make people believe.
I think that's why its very conventient to have them embody the irl cast because Brit would know the storyline in all its tiniest details but wouldnt believe in the meta part of it all, thinking that she actually travelled into her body from the dimension shes been writing about. This is also why it would be harder to convince her, it would be like the rest of the cast trying to convinve brit now that the entire plot of the OA was real and that shed simply forgotten it- also, great idea for an on-set prank
I had an alternate theory of the ending. When Karim peers through the rose window, he is witnessing the truth of existence: We are all actors within a grand stage play not unlike The Truman Show. Most of us in this lower plane are blinded from the bigger picture of reality. The rose window reveals everything. Hence why most people cannot handle viewing it and surviving.
I agree... it’s too much for people to handle. It takes their sense of security away... the trust we are born with in the laws of our universe. They lose their mind once they realize the reality they have been comfortable with their whole lives is not what it seemed to be. They are just actors in a play, societies or the universes, whichever. They are not who they think they are.
Yes this is something I resonate with because of my own unraveling that has brought me to understand that this is all merely a game. We chose the avatar we chose our parents our hardships and essentially forgot once born for the purpose of remembering who we are.
I'm wondering, does Nina also traveled with OA or just OA.? My theory is, once they integrated they become one consciousness and the more she travels to other dimensions, she also integrates with new host's consciousness and so on. and at a certain level, you become a "guide" like Elodie and the FBI agent. Basically, a bunch of consciousness from a lot of dimensions integrated into one.!

Rewatching the two seasons now and I have a small theory. When Prairie goes into the abandoned house to get WiFi in season 1 episode 1 and gets attacked by Steve’s dog, only to bite him and calm him down, I think that was Nina Azarova’s nature (talking to/understanding animals) ability being foreshadowed..... maybe I’m thinking too deep.
Nina and OA are the same person who travelled different paths. Nina is a medium and can communicate with nature (not just animals) so yes OA possessed similar qualities and it is all connected. The interconnectedness of dimensions is a recurring theme.
IM SO MAD HOMER AND OA DIDNT END UP TOGETHER!!! They deserve to be together and fricking hap keeps getting in the way because he has a major crush on OA and won’t admit it
My god, Do we need more stories like this. I'm happy to wait another three years to see season three as long as the creators and writers keep doing what they're doing. This season reminded me of the book "The Alchemist" in the sense of what it feels like to believe in signs, feelings, coincidences, faith in our instincts whether it be God, Angels, dimensions, the multiverse. The belief that we (Earth- and everything on it) exist in this universe surrounded in darkness; have nothing but different versions of ourselves across dimension and dreams in REM sleep cycle are the only way to connect to our infinite selves and be drawn to others because we feel something is there but we are not sure.
I agree with you, this really does remind me of the feel I got from reading "The Alchemist". It's so iportant to have these stories to remind us to live life more like that, trust in our intuition and live free rather than allow ourselves to be caged by norms. That's why these kind of stories are so important. I'm infinitely grateful to people like Brit and Zal and hope that many other storytellers such as them will emerge in the near future!
I think that in the end Homer jumped to the Steven body, because OA told him to follow her, and you can see Steven body in the new dimension with Homer hairstyle following ambulance and then holding her hand (romantically I would say), maybe season 3 will reveal that that can not only jump in another dimensions but jump in different bodies as well. Maybe in the new dimension Homer is dead, thats why Brit and Hap are married, so Homer needed Stevens body.
But is it really our dimension or just a dimension closer to ours? Jason says “I’m her husband” when they put Brit in the ambulance and they’re not married irl
obvs its gonna be a "similar" dimension to ours, but not exact, otherwise they would have to get the ENTIRE show to be EXACTLY as irl, so when recording they have to display the whole set raw, and all the stuff show on the news etc... have to be exact, but this isnt feasible due to production times etc... by saying its "very close, but not exactly our dimension" they can explain away any inconsistencies as "well, its not our dimension"
I sure as hell hope Netflix is smart enough to sign the deal and keep this show on for the entire five seasons, like the writers said they want. I read that the writers had five seasons planned out in their heads, before the first started shooting, so I really want to find out what's in store. Please, please, please Netflix, bring it back!!!
The OA is my favorite show! It's just.. I can't explain it. It's a lot of aspects in everything. It's keeps making a person wonders and think about everything such as life, time travel, multidimensional, and etc.
The show is like a puzzle and once you piece it all together, you get this satisfying feeling along with the shock that comes with it which just makes it addicting💀💀
I didn't discover the show until season 2 came out. What a joy to be able to watch both seasons. I think I watched it over a weekend. I love this show.
I cried so much when Jesse died this season. He asked for help, they knew he needed help, and they ignored him. His suicide was the saddest thing in the whole show for me. I hope we see some version of Jesse get to be happy in season 3
I believe that Steve got sent into OA's dimension at the end instead of BBA because he wanted to travel more than the others seems like and the reason he couldn't go to OA's dimension before is because he wasn't alive in that dimension. But when they were doing the movements and he pictured OA while doing them he was transported to her
I'm so glad you mentioned that part about BBA being the only one safe to travel. I just finished watching episode 8 and I didn't make that connection between, Rachel seeing the dead bodies, and warning them not to travel. It's funny when people complain about the show being too confusing and weird, when that's exactly why I love it. It's a show where you constantly have to pay attention to the details, and remember then as well. A puzzle.
That wasn't Homer, that was Dr. Roberts. He was a professional. He wasn't going to give into a potential delusion so easily, though the OA did seem to affect him.
Or better yet, they can perform the moves and that they themselves can go to a parallel universe that Joe Biden is already president and then leave us the hell alone with all their crying. WWG1WGA QANON

Did anyone else Pause the show and speak to oneself to make sure you were following but was still confused ahahaha omg... i was making Notes I swear What was super cool was that Steven had the great speed in the last Dimension. Is he going to be her protector? is her lover in this new Dimension? How come he is holding her hands? Any thoughts ? I still do not understand Ruskin's purpose in this show. hahaha
Didn't the narrator in this video say Ruskin was someone else in the first season? He said it fast so I didn't remember what he said and I didn't recognize the name either
There are a couple of points that make me think the TV show reality isn't in our reality. One is that in this reality, Jason Issacs is married to Brit. That's not true in ours. Also, in this reality, the show is being shot in England, while in our reality it's shot in Los Angeles and New York. It's a reality where The OA is a show, but not ours.
Kathy Schmocker most shows are shot in Canada for tax credits these days but season 2 was definitely shot in California. They probably had shot some scenes in San Francisco then shot the rest of it in la. Only the scenes with the crest wood boys were shot in Canada
That’s the most confusing ending i ever witnessed on a tv show, hap eventually win this round too. I hope wont take them 2 years more to make the season 3
I hate that it took so long but if it's as complex and mesmerizing as the first two seasons.. take all the time you need! It took her two years because she had to write the next part. It's likely she is now writing the third act!! 😍😍😍
@Cherry Muse This series was just reccomended to me few days ago.. Its crazy to see that first season was back in 2016.. And yes i watched both seasons in 3 days it made perfect sense. Its quite easy but people always complicate.
Watched it the second season 2 appeared. Didnt allow my husband to switch profiles or watch anything. Waited all day for the New Episode sign lol. Binged all night. Zombied thru the next day. 😆 i might be a fan.

Almost went through all the comments under this video and that never happen before lol! This show got us completely! The 5 movements dance got me in tears almost everytime... it's so powerful!
I feel exactly the same way about the dance......especially when it was used to distract the shooter in the last episode of the first series! It made me feel very emotional but was just beautifully mesmerising at the same time. The whole show is the best I've EVER watched ......just wholly enthralling. Season 3 can't come quick enough!
My personal favorite use of the dance was when OA and Homer did it all night and into the morning, and as a result, brought Scott Brown back to life. There are some moments/scenes in shows which are truly magical, and where not as simple change could be made to improve upon it - because everything from the cinematography, to the music & the acting just comes together so beautifully. Until then, I had never heard the song, "Downtown" by Majical Cloudz, and probably never would have - if not for this show. But the everything from that song, to the way it was shot, to the emotions portrayed on Rachel and Renata's faces when Scott sprung back to life was truly perfect. Everyt time I watch (and re-watch, and re-watch) that scene I tear up a bit, and get a butterfly sensation within my tummy. Also loved the scene in Part 2 when Elody first took the 'movement blocks' out, while the song "Lightning Crashes" by Live plays behind it; and though it isn't/wasn't technically anyone doing the movements, somehow even the blocks sparked emotion - due to the power of realization on HAP's face, etc... (Apologies for the extended ramble) I'm curious how you guys felt about those particular scenes. ☺
DangeredCat those specific scenes are very great to me too but I think that the most emotional I got with this dance is when Steve do it by himself when he returns to bring back Jesse to life. His face and emotion is so well played and he give it all to make it happens omg! I got shivers just thinking about it! Also I think that for me the build up of the "powerfulness" of the dance bring me to that point of the series that all the other emotion dance feel through that one so it might help why this is my favorite one! And I think that the fact that all the characters make the movement with so much devotion, they believe in it even if they are not sure. (Except for French he kinda doubt it sometime) ... Kinda hard to explain lol but anyway I totally agree to say that's my favorite show to this day
@@DangeredCat the scene where scott comes back to life will always be my favourite (along with Downtown😍) Because it was at that point that everyone including the audience,at least the hopefuls who believed in oa's backstory, realised that the unfathomable was true...supernatural, magical, celestial... The feeling of achievement For them.. The movements brought me to tears everytime i watch the Downtown music video lol. Perfect song. Perfect scene. Perfect acting.
I think maybe when the show started as 7 hours and 46m earlier, it was another dimension where Karim was not a detective, but was still drawn to OA/Prairie/Nina, and the fall was his death. And the show takes on afterwards with the storyline's dimension. His death of falling from great height was foreshadowed in later episodes where Nina is dressed in red. Perhaps it was present time in both dimensions, which in one Karim dies, and detective Karim does not.
Thought I'd add that Hap told OA something of the sort, "we are going to a place where everyone calls you OA except yourself". I think this is pretty solid proof that the crux of this season will be that the kids traveled through the portal to the dimension OA is in and will try to help her remember (hence why she doesn't call herself OA. The hint was the water from the biginning! As he went to the house te second time he opened the window of the little playhouse and water drops out, so that was the hint that he had to go through water, what means life. OA lost his track while she was switching in another dimension cuz a living thing pass through the portal. Here is the hint that they had to eat something alive, didn’t figure out how this is involved but it feels right.... hahaha Anyway!
I think you are right about who she saw on the plane due to the haircut, BUT, it can not be forgotten that the octopus told OA that she has a brother. My theory is that Steve is OA's brother.
I thought it was because Karim needed to go through the well first. He needs to go through the mercury in the water to enter the state needed to get to the window, and also see through into the dimension. I think it just opens the senses to see through the to other spaces... Like the camera on the phone in the beginning using AR to see what you wouldn't normally see with your own eyes. Pretty cool really. But I think it's also part of the order as well.
Great stuff! A friend told me about The OA last week! I've just finished binge-watching it - I couldnt stop!! I don't have many answers to the questions you throw out re Season 3, but one thing that struck me was the possibility that Steven and the FBI Agent could be her brother in different dimensions. That would make sense for me of Steve transporting and jumping into the ambulance at the very end. But for me, HAP is a real enigma here. He says in Season 2 that what he's discovered thanks to the OA and the others is "almost Godlike." Jason Isaacs himself says in one interview that HAP wants to "discover a cure for death," which was interesting, as I hadnt really focused on a meaningful motivation for him, beyond being an "Angel Hunter." Swept up by the OA through the intensity of the incarceration in S1, but as we see at the end of S2, destined to never be accepted by the others despite being an integral component. "The Mortal," the outsider, but The OA and the others also recall the girl "August" who was dead in the bath in S1, and their feelings run deep: for them HAP isn't a scientist, he's a murderer. I'd identified his motivation as the determination to complete, realise and publish his discoveries (an opportunity he was willing to kill for in S1), thereby securing his place in history. But it strikes me that his conclusions are not "almost" Godlike, they ARE Godlike, which is where I start to wonder if HAP is perhaps allied with the Devil in some way. I mean, The OA has Katun et al on her side. Given the emphasis on the need for symmetry and balance, repeated in the script several times towards the end of S2, it would therefore strike me as logical to conclude that HAP must also have access to the occasional omnipotent helping hand. And I for one would assume then his would come not from "on high," but rather "from below..."
This show has confirmed everything I have experienced! Multiple verse and Spiritual time travel. The finny thing is that Time does not exist beyond this reality and in your dreams you catch a glimpse of differ versions of you across the universe. We are most relaxed when we are in deep sleep, hence we open the frequency to other dimensions.
I really wish they would make a season 3. It's been the most mind boggling show I've ever watched!! And I love things that make me wonder about the true meaning of the universe
bandersnatch only focuses on the fact that alternate realities with alternate versions of you exist, but the OA shows us that not only do other realities exist, they're all connected in the universe by the relationships we make with people, and reside in our minds which gives us the power to harness abilities far more than we can imagine.
Brit marling had the idea for the entire show since the first season back in 2016, they already have the next 3 seasons in they’re minds, it just happens to be a show with similar things as bandersnatch like many others, but brit had this idea long time ago all of her movies were she is the writer also are about these subjects, like another earth from 2011

I really loved when the OA talked to the trees and they showed us how the trees communicate. I have a spiritual religion and a few months ago one of our mentors told us that the trees in a forest form an immense communication web, so we should be respectful and ask for permission when entering the woods. It makes so much sense!!
Although it's true trees do communicate via their roots, it's genetic coding and "functional survival" baked into that communication. They're not talking about their dreams and hopes.. asking for permission to enter a forrest is your mentor and your being delirious and exhilarated by your "religion" causing your minds create these fantastical beliefs to reaffirm what you want to be true..
The high school used in filming this series is my old high school and where my kids went, too! Many of the scenes are filmed in areas that are very familiar to me. When the group checks into the Tuxedo motel, which is supposed to be somewhere out west, is actually in Tuxedo NY. I found it really fascinating to see my home area in this! Some of my kids' friends are even in the background of some of the scenes. I got hooked during the first season because of this, but of course, the series caught my imagination and I got hooked because it's an awesome show. Loved your analysis!
I don’t think Homer made it to the right dimension (current dimension where OA and Hap are actors in a show). This theory stems from the fact that we see Homer lost in the dimension where he licks OA’s back. Season 3 will likely focus on Homer’s journey to OA, Steve and Hap’s dimension (3rd). Also, Steve may have arrived in the current dimension prior to OA and Hap, since he apparently knew exactly when/where to find the ambulance carrying them. It's unclear what role Buck/Michelle plays in this new dimension; why did she climb towards the house/Karim? Is she a multi-consciousness integration of Buck (1st dimension), Michelle (2nd dimension), and Ian Alexander (3rd dimension)? -OR- Did Buck integrate with Ian Alexander whilst at the same time separate (opposite of integrate) Michelle’s consciousness by sending her back to Dimension 2? SO MANY QUESTIONS!

I’m still SO fvcking depressed this show was canceled. Karim goes back to the well because the poem is a riddle. The entrance to the house started in the well, and he had to return to where be started to "know the place for the first time". Perhaps seeing the quote 'allowed' him to get to the rose window, but i think the trap is set up so that people will go upwards in panic and direct them into the puzzle

I believe it's just the time before Prairie enters the new dimension, it's also how long we see Karim learn about and investigate the first day of the Michelle mistery, the first Zendaya cameo, the plane riddle, Nina talking to Pierre on the phone and being on the boat after (all of these stuff taking 7 hours and 46 minutes in the dimension's real time), right before the shotgun and subsequent travel. It could be that or how long before the octopus takes dominion over all dimensions... you never know with The OA.

I liked the ending Because if I was in Steve's shoes, I would've done the exact same thing when I got there. Run after the ambulance and confront Hap. And it was acted so well. Steve finally found her. And they really stressed early on in the season how badly he wanted to. He was the only one that you didn't see any doubt throughout the season that she was still alive.
His will to find her never wavered for a second. He willed himself to her, just like she willed herself to Homer. That's why he jumped.

I love how Steve hops on the ambulance and someone is like "hey! get out of here," but then like two seconds later the crisis of the guy jumping into an ambulance is over and everyone just gets real calm and serious like nothing odd happened.
Also he ran after the ambulance last episode of the first season saying "take me with you". So last episode of season 2 he reaches the moving ambulance and has been transported. Thought that was a cool mirror

I'm wondering if the white dove at the end that interrupted the OA's jump and changed the course of her interdimensional travel was sent by Khatun. Khatun gave her a white bird to swallow in season 1 - she gave her a choice to return or stay with her and the OA chose the hard course of returning. Maybe Khatun is either protecting her by changing her course or sending her to a different dimension to learn whatever lesson she needs to?

oh my god BBA and the exploration of her character was so incredible this season, she is such a sweetheart
I just finished the second season and honestly it has helped me feel better about the tragedies I have endured in my life. They talk about suffering as a natural part of life and that your particular method of suffering is what makes you who you are. I feel like the going advice these days is to just stay positive all the time, but these characters are allowed to be flawed and really feel it before ultimately rising up with their pain instead of trying to forget or feeling ashamed of it. I have always had a voice in the back of my mind asking why did I have to suffer through all that, and the show helped me feel a bit like what I have gone through could be an asset to use rather than a burden to carry.
Suffering defines us all. Shows our weaknesses and strength as well.
I feel the same watching the second season but also that an alternative version of my life is there I just hv the reach or fight for it the way OA seek out Homer and to full understand exactly what was happening
it is a principles of buddhism. that we must accept our suffering to truly accept/love ourselves. the whole show is very rooted in buddhist mantras. if it makes you feel better about your time on earth, I would suggest looking into and reading about meditation and buddhism. very enlightening :)

BBA specifically states they're in some sort of sleep in the other dimension. Not dead. She wouldn't have been able to feel them if they were dead... Also, I'm pretty sure that in OUR dimension, The OA is a TV show, but in the others it's their real lives. They jumped to our dimension at the end. My question is, Why wasn't Homer there when they jumped?
He the boys and bba.. minus Steven are all there just "not on set". Homer died before they left so he probably made it to the dimension they were supposed to go to or is furthest apart from the rest of the group.. I wonder where the other 3 ended up..the 3 from the underground
@@kristinwade344 I think Steve was the only one who traveled to that dimension (aka the real life) because they only showed him falling apart when they were performing the movements, and that's why only he's able to recognize Hap as he truly is in the original dimension.
She told Homer that he would have to find her after they jumped.
However in season 2 we’re shown that the OA had travelled to Homer’s NDE dimension. Now it seems that they’ve travelled to Scott’s NDE dimension after witnessing Hap each a petal off of Scott’s (What I like to refer as) “cosmic garden”
I think that considering Homer died first, he travelled there first. Clearly time is most likely the same in every dimension. Meaning that not one dimension is in the future nor in the past when compared to each other. We see this when BBA can feel OA’s presence through different dimensional space.
Perhaps since Homer was technically first to leave, he ended up farther from the group.
Since OA and Hap both left together. They ended up together in Scott’s NDE dimension. (And in Scott’s NDE we know they were intimate partners)
It does appear that Steve was the last one to leave. And we’re shown that later in time he’s running after the ambulance as if he was late in some sense. He was trying to catch up. He was the last to wake up and needed to catch up quickly and somehow he did.
(It’s possible he related the time he first chased after OA in an ambulance and this specific moment in time felt comically familiar)
Perhaps Homer is near but not near enough to fully reach OA.
I think the dove is there by Karim, is in, and tramsforms as Steve and is now her 'brother' and protector for S3

The last couple episodes were bad and the ending was just horrible! OA falls when a bird hits her onto a movie set and the bad guy ends up being her husband in real life? Blazing Saddles did it first and that was meant to be a joke. I loved most of it but knew they jumped the shark when a giant squid was talking through OA. I mean come on! 🤣🤣🤣🤣

It really was. But at least JJ Abrams' creative insanity (Lost, etc) found a way to justify itself. The OA just isn't "tight" enough to earn another Season, I think. Netflix will have to decide.
I actually think this season would be better received than the first for many people. The whole 'unreliable narrator' factor pissed off some.. but not me. This season at least solved that, and also explained quite a lot of it for the viewers, and there was more action.
I heard they planned 5 parts before getting part 1 picked up by Netflix. I'd really like to see them all aired. Brit Marling is a very unique film maker. I think she's awesome.
Homer's dream where he licked the skin mirrors one of Nina's which she described in a tape. Also, the new dimension with Jason's British accent and Brit's real name being called calls back to Scott's description of his NDE perfectly.
I disagree, I felt like the tape was describing the octopus, she says something about feeling a tongue up her ass right before the they turn the tape off and I highly doubt that was Homer.

The engineer and the medium were Nina and Pierre actually, they said that Nina was a medium that could communicate with the natural world, and the history of the first owners of the house was the same as them.

I like that the show is still a show and didn’t go ultra meta even though it looks that way. Jason isaccs and Brit Marling are not married in real life, and homer wasnt on the set with them with a fake gunshot wound. So it’s only mirroring our world, but in fact it’s a different dimension even from here.

It was a certain order. When homer listens to the tape in haps office. Ruskin explains that the puzzle needs to to be completed in order for the person to see the reality out of the window. The medium found her husband in a coma and knew he had completed the puzzles in order. She waited for someone to come save her husband (take him out of the reality he entered) which is what Karim did for Michelle.

I'm curious about another similarity between the two OA seasons that I haven't seen discussed in any article or video. In both parts I and II, there's an underground well, or stream. In Part I, the stream runs through the underground bunker where the group is held captive. In Part II, the underground stream leads to a well in the House on Knob Hill. Is that significant? Also, I believe that, instead of Rachel finding Buc via the mirror in his room because of the open door, she finds him because in Part I, Buc had performed the 5 movements practicing them in the mirror before going to meet the group. Is it then possible to open portals simply by performing them before reflective surfaces, as a pool of water is reflective?

Well they've planned it out as a TV series, and visual clues are a big part of what they do as film makers. Some things are better as books, but some aren't. Genius takes time. I just hope Netflix aren't dumb enough to pull the plug before we get to see all five.

Karin is the brother, where he’s an EX-FBI agent and becomes a private detective, but in the other dimension he’s a actual FBI agent. In both dimension he helps OA somehow, and then Buck.

I don't think Homer will unlock OA's memories but rather make her believe again. Hap said to OA that she will remember but she won't believe. That's his plan when they travelled into that dimension, OA will no longer have her faith and so she won't resist him anymore. This also supports the warning the mysterious woman (also a dimensional traveller) provided to OA that Hap will break her.
Basically next season, OA will not be a believer and Homer and the others will do their best to make her believe again. It's the opposite from season 1 and 2 where OA is the one who always try to make people believe.
I hope not. That's a method of story telling thats been over killed. Hopefully they are less predictable.

I think that's why its very conventient to have them embody the irl cast because Brit would know the storyline in all its tiniest details but wouldnt believe in the meta part of it all, thinking that she actually travelled into her body from the dimension shes been writing about. This is also why it would be harder to convince her, it would be like the rest of the cast trying to convinve brit now that the entire plot of the OA was real and that shed simply forgotten it- also, great idea for an on-set prank
I had an alternate theory of the ending. When Karim peers through the rose window, he is witnessing the truth of existence: We are all actors within a grand stage play not unlike The Truman Show. Most of us in this lower plane are blinded from the bigger picture of reality. The rose window reveals everything. Hence why most people cannot handle viewing it and surviving.
I agree... it’s too much for people to handle. It takes their sense of security away... the trust we are born with in the laws of our universe. They lose their mind once they realize the reality they have been comfortable with their whole lives is not what it seemed to be. They are just actors in a play, societies or the universes, whichever. They are not who they think they are.

My theory is, once they integrated they become one consciousness and the more she travels to other dimensions, she also integrates with new host's consciousness and so on. and at a certain level, you become a "guide" like Elodie and the FBI agent. Basically, a bunch of consciousness from a lot of dimensions integrated into one.!

Rewatching the two seasons now and I have a small theory. When Prairie goes into the abandoned house to get WiFi in season 1 episode 1 and gets attacked by Steve’s dog, only to bite him and calm him down, I think that was Nina Azarova’s nature (talking to/understanding animals) ability being foreshadowed..... maybe I’m thinking too deep.
Nina and OA are the same person who travelled different paths. Nina is a medium and can communicate with nature (not just animals) so yes OA possessed similar qualities and it is all connected.
The interconnectedness of dimensions is a recurring theme.

My god, Do we need more stories like this. I'm happy to wait another three years to see season three as long as the creators and writers keep doing what they're doing. This season reminded me of the book "The Alchemist" in the sense of what it feels like to believe in signs, feelings, coincidences, faith in our instincts whether it be God, Angels, dimensions, the multiverse. The belief that we (Earth- and everything on it) exist in this universe surrounded in darkness; have nothing but different versions of ourselves across dimension and dreams in REM sleep cycle are the only way to connect to our infinite selves and be drawn to others because we feel something is there but we are not sure.
I agree with you, this really does remind me of the feel I got from reading "The Alchemist". It's so iportant to have these stories to remind us to live life more like that, trust in our intuition and live free rather than allow ourselves to be caged by norms. That's why these kind of stories are so important. I'm infinitely grateful to people like Brit and Zal and hope that many other storytellers such as them will emerge in the near future!

I think that in the end Homer jumped to the Steven body, because OA told him to follow her, and you can see Steven body in the new dimension with Homer hairstyle following ambulance and then holding her hand (romantically I would say), maybe season 3 will reveal that that can not only jump in another dimensions but jump in different bodies as well. Maybe in the new dimension Homer is dead, thats why Brit and Hap are married, so Homer needed Stevens body.

The OA is my favorite show! It's just.. I can't explain it. It's a lot of aspects in everything. It's keeps making a person wonders and think about everything such as life, time travel, multidimensional, and etc.
The show is like a puzzle and once you piece it all together, you get this satisfying feeling along with the shock that comes with it which just makes it addicting💀💀
I didn't discover the show until season 2 came out. What a joy to be able to watch both seasons. I think I watched it over a weekend. I love this show.

I'm so glad you mentioned that part about BBA being the only one safe to travel. I just finished watching episode 8 and I didn't make that connection between, Rachel seeing the dead bodies, and warning them not to travel. It's funny when people complain about the show being too confusing and weird, when that's exactly why I love it. It's a show where you constantly have to pay attention to the details, and remember then as well. A puzzle.

There are a couple of points that make me think the TV show reality isn't in our reality. One is that in this reality, Jason Issacs is married to Brit. That's not true in ours. Also, in this reality, the show is being shot in England, while in our reality it's shot in Los Angeles and New York. It's a reality where The OA is a show, but not ours.
I thought maybe it was shot in Canada. I do agree that it's not our reality. Is the actor playing Michele actually named Michelle? (For example)
Kathy Schmocker most shows are shot in Canada for tax credits these days but season 2 was definitely shot in California. They probably had shot some scenes in San Francisco then shot the rest of it in la. Only the scenes with the crest wood boys were shot in Canada

Almost went through all the comments under this video and that never happen before lol! This show got us completely! The 5 movements dance got me in tears almost everytime... it's so powerful!
I feel exactly the same way about the dance......especially when it was used to distract the shooter in the last episode of the first series! It made me feel very emotional but was just beautifully mesmerising at the same time. The whole show is the best I've EVER watched ......just wholly enthralling. Season 3 can't come quick enough!
My personal favorite use of the dance was when OA and Homer did it all night and into the morning, and as a result, brought Scott Brown back to life. There are some moments/scenes in shows which are truly magical, and where not as simple change could be made to improve upon it - because everything from the cinematography, to the music & the acting just comes together so beautifully. Until then, I had never heard the song, "Downtown" by Majical Cloudz, and probably never would have - if not for this show. But the everything from that song, to the way it was shot, to the emotions portrayed on Rachel and Renata's faces when Scott sprung back to life was truly perfect. Everyt time I watch (and re-watch, and re-watch) that scene I tear up a bit, and get a butterfly sensation within my tummy. Also loved the scene in Part 2 when Elody first took the 'movement blocks' out, while the song "Lightning Crashes" by Live plays behind it; and though it isn't/wasn't technically anyone doing the movements, somehow even the blocks sparked emotion - due to the power of realization on HAP's face, etc...
(Apologies for the extended ramble) I'm curious how you guys felt about those particular scenes. ☺
DangeredCat those specific scenes are very great to me too but I think that the most emotional I got with this dance is when Steve do it by himself when he returns to bring back Jesse to life. His face and emotion is so well played and he give it all to make it happens omg! I got shivers just thinking about it! Also I think that for me the build up of the "powerfulness" of the dance bring me to that point of the series that all the other emotion dance feel through that one so it might help why this is my favorite one! And I think that the fact that all the characters make the movement with so much devotion, they believe in it even if they are not sure. (Except for French he kinda doubt it sometime) ... Kinda hard to explain lol but anyway I totally agree to say that's my favorite show to this day
@@DangeredCat the scene where scott comes back to life will always be my favourite (along with Downtown😍) Because it was at that point that everyone including the audience,at least the hopefuls who believed in oa's backstory, realised that the unfathomable was true...supernatural, magical, celestial... The feeling of achievement For them.. The movements brought me to tears everytime i watch the Downtown music video lol. Perfect song. Perfect scene. Perfect acting.
I think maybe when the show started as 7 hours and 46m earlier, it was another dimension where Karim was not a detective, but was still drawn to OA/Prairie/Nina, and the fall was his death. And the show takes on afterwards with the storyline's dimension. His death of falling from great height was foreshadowed in later episodes where Nina is dressed in red. Perhaps it was present time in both dimensions, which in one Karim dies, and detective Karim does not.
Thought I'd add that Hap told OA something of the sort, "we are going to a place where everyone calls you OA except yourself". I think this is pretty solid proof that the crux of this season will be that the kids traveled through the portal to the dimension OA is in and will try to help her remember (hence why she doesn't call herself OA. Remember, Dr Roberts (Homer) played a tape to Hap where Scott mentioned a heavy British woman gave him the 3rd movement.
Is it possibly that BBA will find Scott in England, and something will transpire? Great finale!

The hint was the water from the biginning! As he went to the house te second time he opened the window of the little playhouse and water drops out, so that was the hint that he had to go through water, what means life. OA lost his track while she was switching in another dimension cuz a living thing pass through the portal. Here is the hint that they had to eat something alive, didn’t figure out how this is involved but it feels right.... hahaha

I thought it was because Karim needed to go through the well first. He needs to go through the mercury in the water to enter the state needed to get to the window, and also see through into the dimension. I think it just opens the senses to see through the to other spaces... Like the camera on the phone in the beginning using AR to see what you wouldn't normally see with your own eyes.
Pretty cool really.

Great stuff! A friend told me about The OA last week! I've just finished binge-watching it - I couldnt stop!! I don't have many answers to the questions you throw out re Season 3, but one thing that struck me was the possibility that Steven and the FBI Agent could be her brother in different dimensions. That would make sense for me of Steve transporting and jumping into the ambulance at the very end. But for me, HAP is a real enigma here. He says in Season 2 that what he's discovered thanks to the OA and the others is "almost Godlike." Jason Isaacs himself says in one interview that HAP wants to "discover a cure for death," which was interesting, as I hadnt really focused on a meaningful motivation for him, beyond being an "Angel Hunter." Swept up by the OA through the intensity of the incarceration in S1, but as we see at the end of S2, destined to never be accepted by the others despite being an integral component. "The Mortal," the outsider, but The OA and the others also recall the girl "August" who was dead in the bath in S1, and their feelings run deep: for them HAP isn't a scientist, he's a murderer. I'd identified his motivation as the determination to complete, realise and publish his discoveries (an opportunity he was willing to kill for in S1), thereby securing his place in history. But it strikes me that his conclusions are not "almost" Godlike, they ARE Godlike, which is where I start to wonder if HAP is perhaps allied with the Devil in some way. I mean, The OA has Katun et al on her side. Given the emphasis on the need for symmetry and balance, repeated in the script several times towards the end of S2, it would therefore strike me as logical to conclude that HAP must also have access to the occasional omnipotent helping hand. And I for one would assume then his would come not from "on high," but rather "from below..."
This show has confirmed everything I have experienced! Multiple verse and Spiritual time travel. The finny thing is that Time does not exist beyond this reality and in your dreams you catch a glimpse of differ versions of you across the universe. We are most relaxed when we are in deep sleep, hence we open the frequency to other dimensions.

Basically, the OA's multiverse addresses the same genre as Bandersnatch! Exactly! Just a little bit more in fantasy style.
bandersnatch only focuses on the fact that alternate realities with alternate versions of you exist, but the OA shows us that not only do other realities exist, they're all connected in the universe by the relationships we make with people, and reside in our minds which gives us the power to harness abilities far more than we can imagine.
Bandersnatch and OA and multiple other shows are referring a theory in quantum mechanics (search Schrödinger's Cat). They are not copying each other.
Brit marling had the idea for the entire show since the first season back in 2016, they already have the next 3 seasons in they’re minds, it just happens to be a show with similar things as bandersnatch like many others, but brit had this idea long time ago all of her movies were she is the writer also are about these subjects, like another earth from 2011
It's 2024, I just discovered this show and watched both seasons. Makes no sense that this was cancelled. What was Netflix thinking?

The whole 2 nd season was so dark I had to watch it with all the lights off.
I had this problem watching the entire second season. In the scenes in the house I could barely tell what was going on.

Binged watched both seasons for the 2nd time. It was even better‼️ Felt like I seen this already yet I haven’t seen it. Simply amazing and MIND BLOWING 😮🤯🤯🤯 Cannot wait for Season 3
@Think Story . Excellent insight into the core of The OA Part 2. It's gorgeously shot and powerfully acted, especially by Marling, who can be startling and mesmerizing and sweet, all while telegraphing otherworldly intelligence. I really dig "The OA's" cerebral takes on indie sci-fi.
I agree, her acting in this show, from the very first episode of part 1, has been a level above most actors and she is mesmerizing.
Real shame that it got cancelled, I hope Someone in this dimension takes on continuing this great show
I really loved when the OA talked to the trees and they showed us how the trees communicate. I have a spiritual religion and a few months ago one of our mentors told us that the trees in a forest form an immense communication web, so we should be respectful and ask for permission when entering the woods. It makes so much sense!!
Although it's true trees do communicate via their roots, it's genetic coding and "functional survival" baked into that communication. They're not talking about their dreams and hopes.. asking for permission to enter a forrest is your mentor and your being delirious and exhilarated by your "religion" causing your minds create these fantastical beliefs to reaffirm what you want to be true..

The high school used in filming this series is my old high school and where my kids went, too! Many of the scenes are filmed in areas that are very familiar to me. When the group checks into the Tuxedo motel, which is supposed to be somewhere out west, is actually in Tuxedo NY. I found it really fascinating to see my home area in this! Some of my kids' friends are even in the background of some of the scenes. I got hooked during the first season because of this, but of course, the series caught my imagination and I got hooked because it's an awesome show. Loved your analysis!
I don’t think Homer made it to the right dimension (current dimension where OA and Hap are actors in a show). This theory stems from the fact that we see Homer lost in the dimension where he licks OA’s back. Season 3 will likely focus on Homer’s journey to OA, Steve and Hap’s dimension (3rd). Also, Steve may have arrived in the current dimension prior to OA and Hap, since he apparently knew exactly when/where to find the ambulance carrying them. It's unclear what role Buck/Michelle plays in this new dimension; why did she climb towards the house/Karim? Is she a multi-consciousness integration of Buck (1st dimension), Michelle (2nd dimension), and Ian Alexander (3rd dimension)? -OR- Did Buck integrate with Ian Alexander whilst at the same time separate (opposite of integrate) Michelle’s consciousness by sending her back to Dimension 2?

Wait, I have finished the show but I need to know if you can all exist on all dimensions as individual mindset in terms of each dimension, you will have your own mind. Not just a blank body waiting to be "transferred" when a "soul" moves from one dimension to another right to operate that body right? If so, then for some reason, Michelle was trap in another Buck body, then that other Buck was unconscious in Michelle body while that other Buck trying to find her/his way back? So when that other Buck which is Michelle climbed the ladder, she returned to the correct Michelle with the grandma and the unconscious Buck goes back to the right body that climb the ladder then? So mindf*cked 😂
I kind of hated the fact that they did not feature relevant scenes with Renata. Her character feels left out.
Since season 2 was inside the world of Homer's NDE and what we know about season 3 matches how Scott described the world of his NDE, I believe one of the next seasons will be the others' NDE's, including Renata.
I’m still SO fvcking depressed this show was canceled. Leave it to Netflix to buy the streaming rights for every season of FRIENDS for 100 MILLION DOLLARS, but cancels one of the most interesting, emotional, and just plain amazing shows I’ve ever seen in my life because of money.. 😡 At this point I feel like almost everyone on earth has seen every episode of FRIENDS at least once…not to mention it STILL comes on tv every single night. Ridiculous. Use THAT money and invest in shows like The OA that have awesome and unique storylines
Karim goes back to the well because the poem is a riddle. The entrance to the house started in the well, and he had to return to where be started to "know the place for the first time". Perhaps seeing the quote 'allowed' him to get to the rose window, but i think the trap is set up so that people will go upwards in panic and direct them into the puzzle

@@SuperMelrose1 I believe it's Steve. He's been the same person in every dimension (dead in the pool) and is the first of the 4 guys plus BBA that OA recruited to hear her story in s1. His goal is to be with OA.
Either Karim or the FBI dude is the brother. Most likely Karim though because they had that moment where he thought he recognized OA
Mike DC He did recognize her, from the dream/dimension/vision of him falling from a great height. He realizes this when he sees her dressed in red in her apartment.

Yeah, otherwise why would they not be completely submerged and how would they be so well preserved if they were parcially exposed to air so long after death? They are totally alive.
