I came across this video to try to understand the algorithm better after a random video from my camera roll got 100k views and nearly 20k lives in 3 days compared to the rest of my stuff with 7 likes.

I really learned a lot from this video. I never thought about the Reel algorithm would relates to these much things. And I realized the way I posted my Reels before is not helping them to get more reach. I used to share my TikTok videos derelict to my Reel cause it’s quick, and I like editing videos in TikTok. But I won't do it anymore after I watch this video. In addition, I realized I need to work on other things as well like post stories frequently and make more posts, so that my Reels are more likely to be discovered.

Something is boggling my mind. I have a youtube shorts channel that is doing pretty well, with video editions made by me, many people started to repost my videos on instagram reels, so started doing the same: posting my videos on instagram reels, and my videos does'nt get as many views as other people reposting my own videos. There's videos in other pages with literally millions of views, but my instagram page is growing very slowly, I even talked to one guy who reposted my videos (170k followers) to mention me and we even post a collab, but still growing much slower than youtube.
Wow. That is ... ridiculous. I'll be honest: if people were stealing my content to make money, I'd report their accounts, I wouldn't collab with them. Once the other accounts are gone, then people will have to find your content through you. (PS remember that having imposter accounts is a good argument for when you apply to get verified on TikTok, so screencap them)
@@HootsuiteLabs nah it's a lost battle, I will never be able to get rid of all of them, so better use their numbers to grow my page and bring some of the viewers to my channel. I'm not able to monetize my Instagram page, since they only pay if you're in the USA and I do not live there. Anyway, the page is doing much better now and it's growing very fast, maybe Instagram algorithm just required some consistent posting
I literally do all of this I’m a very good skater and all of a sudden my shit still gets thousands of views in less than a hour yet now it’s only get 20-30 likes as opposed to 200-1000 like I used to get. Any idea why?????? I know exactly when to post how to go about it, howto make the film clean as hell and I’m all around have a huge bag of tricks a lot of people can’t do. I low key feel like instagram is rigged.
