- In this video I show you how to make a bench vise out of scrap metal. I had 1/2" thick plate, 3x3 square tube and some 3" angle iron to create the vise.
My welding table has been very useful but I am tired of using clamps to hold everything down. This steel bench vise will come in clutch for both large and small projects that I am working on. Hope you enjoy!

Thanks!
Very cool, look forward to part 2.
Thanks! I am working on it now 👍
Looks like the Fireball Tool vise.
I based a lot of the design from that one! Thanks!
I am so excited to try and replicate this. Thanks for the hard work and inspiration. Also awesome to see so much value harbor freight gear being used. Shoes that its what you can do with what you have more than anything.
Thanks for the appreciation! I am definitely not a professional fabricator so tools are not plentiful. Harbor freight is a God send. The tools can get the job done if you are persistent and creative! Haha. I hope you have fun making one cuz this one was a blast to make for me!
Where have you been!!!!
I absolutely love your work.
I appreciate that! Thanks! I am just getting started. Haha. I have a lot of projects coming down the line.
You should cut those pieces out with a water jet... it would be a lot faster. 😏
I’m working on that one. Might take a little while before I can get the water jet addition for the shop. Thanks!
The most common cause of broken taps is letting people watch you tap the hole. If no one is watching, they are less likely to break.
Experience 😂🤣😂🤣
Haha that if funny! but it definitely makes sense. 🤣
