My favorite driving stunt is the scene in The Man with the Golden Gun when the car drives off the ramp and does a roll before landing and continuing on. They did it with a stunt driver in ONE take.
A movie I'd like to hear from you guys about is Old Boy, I realize it's a bit out of Adam's wheelhouse probably (it's a bit on the far end of the torture/revenge scale). But, from a technical perspective, such as the fight scene in the hallway for example I'd love to hear your thoughts on that film. One caveat, I'm talking of course about the original film not the American Remake (haven't seen that version myself).
What ever that screen was showing the reflection in the case in the upper left-hand corner of the picture was sort of drawing my attention away from the podcast. Can you show us what that was making all those colorful lines in the reflection of the cabinet? It looked cool. Although the whole shop/cave is awesome, the reflection is what was really catching my eye this time!
If you haven't seen them already The Raid and The Raid 2 and really good stunt movies. The first film is pretty much exclusively a hand to hand combat film whereas the sequel expands with some car chases (whilst having some epic hand to hand fights).
Better than normally interesting outing, gents. Since I had a half-hour to take in that Star Trek TOS prop in the corner, was that a "first pass?" Those drill spots for the light array look like someone got an "intern day" reject for cheap. Are those lights that far off in the original?
Wow, I'm almost certain I saw Will wake boarding at Norris Lake. Unless he went elsewhere, but Norris is the closest to Knoxville. Also, since I live in Middlesboro, KY, the home of Lee Majors who played "The Stuntman". I know a thing or two about stunts. I can say, Adam knows stuff.
I had an experience with trailers just a while ago... The trailer for Inherent Vice i thought was amazing! The movie... Nothing like it. I liked Inherent Vice, don't get me wrong, i think it's a brilliant movie, but definitely not as fast-paced, easygoing and easy to "digest" as the trailer would lead you to believe... On the subject of stunts and martial arts, you guys NEED to see this Thai movie called "Ong Bak" starring Muay Thai fighter Tony Jaa. He did ALL the stunts himself, and they're FRIGGIN AMAZING.
I'm an Aussie, and have never heard those particular slang words mentioned at the start. Maybe I'm just too sweet and innocent. :P (or, more likely, it's from certain states that I haven't lived in)
Is that a toddler-sized noface costume hiding behind that shelf? I ask because I've been seriously considering making a noface costume for my toddler :)
Coit? Growler? never heard those and I've lived in several states of australia lol, just be aware that like any country certain parts have their own sayings which don't always represent all of oz ;P
Jack Reacher is a good movie if you can forget Jack Reacher the books. They basically blow the plot of the book in the first 5 minutes so the plot does not work because it is based around this one plot point which you all ready know. Best bit of jackie chan is police story the handcuff bit with Cynthia Rothrock. He directed it and it is amazing. Bourne Martial Art Kali/Excrima
The 1996 Mission: Impossible movie crossed an unforgivable line with that shitty final twist in its alleged plot. It has no sequels in my version of the world.
Pretty sure Zoe Bell is Kiwi. I know its common for Americans to get New Zealand and Australia mixed up or they just throw them both in the same pot, but really Kiwi's can be a bit touchy about it. ;)
Ok, 3 minutes in and I have to comment. I'm Australian and I've never heard the term "coit". It might be a Sydney bogan thing. Are your workers bogans?
While Zoe Bell is a larger than life personality, she is not six feet tall. IMDB and Wiki both list her height as 5'8" which seems realistic, especially when compared to her height in relationship both to her co-stars and to the actresses she's doubled.
Yo man. I'm very Australian and have not ever heard of Growlers... or coit is it? SHIT? Am I not Australian? My whole life has been turned upside down...
The term "Chunnel" is defunct and has been replaced by "Tunnel or Channnel Tunnel" the contraction of the term failed to take off in common parlance in the UK as chunnel sounded like a slang term for a bowl complant.
Although I wholeheartedly agree that Charlize Theron is one of the most appealing woman of the century I humbly submit that those who believe she is unruinable have not seen the 2003 film monster. This is probably her most impressive role but don't watch it because you have a crush on her, you will be disappointed!
I am glad they say hi it's norm from tested and will from tested at the start of EVERY video. I think I would forget whair they was from else. Oh no, wait. I wouldn't because I'm on TESTEDS you tube account.
Never in my life did I expect to hear Mr. S Leather referred to on this podcast. :-D
"Lux Aeterna" is from REQUIEM FOR A DREAM.
My favorite driving stunt is the scene in The Man with the Golden Gun when the car drives off the ramp and does a roll before landing and continuing on. They did it with a stunt driver in ONE take.
Will Smith, I think the plant in your office needs water.
John Murphy Sunshine is too good and I totally recognize it everywhere.

Keith Jones Don't watch the remake.
Keith Jones I believe Adam actually mentioned Old Boy on the John Wick spoilercast :P
Tom Cruise did run in Days of Thunder, he raced Robert Duvall in the closing scene. :-)
5:50. that explains why through out the 2000s just about every trailer used the Braveheart soundtrack
6:21 Can we all just take in how that was a perfect villain laugh

I had to pause this and go and rewatch the Mad Max trailer. That looks like it's going to be a masterpiece!!
The No-Face mask peeking out from behind the cabinets is great. Happy coincidence or great planning?
If you haven't seen them already The Raid and The Raid 2 and really good stunt movies. The first film is pretty much exclusively a hand to hand combat film whereas the sequel expands with some car chases (whilst having some epic hand to hand fights).
Zoe Bell is from Waiheke Island, New Zealand
Zoe Bell stands ten feet tall. Each night, she punches out the sun.
Zoe Bell is HOT. Did you see her with the see through dress on with thong underneath at the Expendables 3 premiere? She looked hot.
Tested What is the 3.5mm splitter thing called? I guess it has an additional amp?
I thought I was crazy hearing the Sunshine score in every trailer for like 2 years after that movie was released.
I saw a cut. Must not have made it out before the meters.
From IMDB, Zoe Bell is not from Australia but from New Zealand. She is also not 6'4" but 5' 8".
Better than normally interesting outing, gents.
Since I had a half-hour to take in that Star Trek TOS prop in the corner, was that a "first pass?" Those drill spots for the light array look like someone got an "intern day" reject for cheap. Are those lights that far off in the original?
As an Australian I can confirm all the ones except "Get em angry", not even I know why that guy wanted angry boobs.
Loved the episode! Keep it up!
The Subtitles for this (closed captioning) is hilarious!
Love the beard Will! Is that the Hypno Cube I see reflected in the upper left hand corner of the screen?
link to stunt please
Adam Savage would allow a consistency-breaking cut for bike tires and Will proclaims "Fuck right off!"
This is the only truly "nerdy" podcast online.
The version of the mad max trailer that I've seen uses Verdi's requiem, not anything by mozart
No link to the video.
Completely and unrelated of the topic but does anyone know any news on the next season of Mythbusters?
I've just noticed the robot from Flubber in the cabinets! :D
Wow, I'm almost certain I saw Will wake boarding at Norris Lake. Unless he went elsewhere, but Norris is the closest to Knoxville.

Where is the link?
I'm an Aussie, and have never heard those particular slang words mentioned at the start. Maybe I'm just too sweet and innocent. :P
(or, more likely, it's from certain states that I haven't lived in)
Tom Cruise ran at the very end of Days of Thunder, they even froze it on that shot.
Zoe Bell is awesome. Kathy Long is great, too. She stunted for Catwoman in Batman Returns.
"F*ck right off!" -Will Smith, 2015 XD
How has this got up and down thumbs? it only went up 7 minutes ago.
never heard of any of those aussie sayings, must be a regional thing? literally have never heard those in melbourne
Ah man, that story about Nick at the end was so good! I had to listen to that part again!
Zoe Bell is kiwi. ie NOT Aussie. which is pronounced ozzy btw
The trailer for the original Robocop used the Terminator theme.
He DID run in days of thunder... at the end..
eek! Zoe Bell is from New Zealand!
The 1996 Mission: Impossible movie crossed an unforgivable line with that shitty final twist in its alleged plot. It has no sequels in my version of the world.
i think all the sequels were made for Tom Cruise's ego anyway
I am Australian and have never heard these expressions xD is it a bogan thing?
you guys didn't enjoy Prometheus?!
Pretty sure Zoe Bell is Kiwi. I know its common for Americans to get New Zealand and Australia mixed up or they just throw them both in the same pot, but really Kiwi's can be a bit touchy about it. ;)
CosmicTony Yeah we can be! Especially after the Cricket World Cup.
CosmicTony yup Zoe Bell is Kiwi
islandbayboy Ouch, So sorry about that, thought it would be more of a epic struggle then it turned out to be.
I dunno what happened, they were a different team.
Ok, 3 minutes in and I have to comment. I'm Australian and I've never heard the term "coit". It might be a Sydney bogan thing. Are your workers bogans?
Best car stunt scene? Easy, Bourne Identity with the mini cooper.
I believe the martial arts done in Bourne Identity was based off of Kali
In the new Mission Impossible movie, will they keep up the tradition of IMF blaming Hunt and his team for what the bad guys did?
While Zoe Bell is a larger than life personality, she is not six feet tall. IMDB and Wiki both list her height as 5'8" which seems realistic, especially when compared to her height in relationship both to her co-stars and to the actresses she's doubled.
Yo man. I'm very Australian and have not ever heard of Growlers... or coit is it? SHIT? Am I not Australian? My whole life has been turned upside down...
Oh and we use Growler in Scotland. Weirdly enough over here 'fanny' means vagina. We have a good chuckle every time you guys use that little nugget.
Tom cruise also has the contractual rant scene.
The term "Chunnel" is defunct and has been replaced by "Tunnel or Channnel Tunnel" the contraction of the term failed to take off in common parlance in the UK as chunnel sounded like a slang term for a bowl complant.
does adam find the movie Prometheus good or bad?
Probably good seeing as he calls Ronin a bad movie.
Wll it was a bad movie that had little to nothing to do with alien
Australian here... never heard of the term coit or growler... Maybe because I'm from the west?
Same here, must be an eastern thing.
Michael Blakeman gday from Qld, coit is a very old term that I haven't heard for 30 years, but growler ??? nope never heard that one.
Michael Blakeman From the Gold Coast. I've heard of both of them. But they are very old and rarely used anymore.
Michael Blakeman Another Australian here. I've vaguely heard of coit but I didn't know the meaning. Never heard of growler.
Michael Blakeman Growler might be a UK english thing since it was mentioned on UK Top Gear.
As an Australian I, for one, don't like my boobs angry. Don't group us all together.
Tom Cruise might be a strange man, but he's a damn good actor.
I don't understand why they wear headphones when they are right next to each other.
+Pookie250 So they know what we can hear, in earlier episodes will would turn Adam down when he shouts in higher tones.
+Adam High Definition An informative reply, thank you :)
Add music button holy cow that is cool!!!
Haha, no face mask lurking around the display case behind Will!
Tom Cruise does run in days of Thunder and I bet I'm not the first person to post this 😀
I'm pretty sure he runs in Risky Business, that was 1983.
Although I wholeheartedly agree that Charlize Theron is one of the most appealing woman of the century I humbly submit that those who believe she is unruinable have not seen the 2003 film monster.
This is probably her most impressive role but don't watch it because you have a crush on her, you will be disappointed!
Zoë Bell is 5'8". Hardly a giant. It doesn't take away from her being amazing though.
Adam has a Logan's Run DS gun!! Cool! His looks like it is unpainted though.
tom ran in days of thunder. at the end him and his crew chief are running to victory lane................
Femkéé Jènson? Hahahaha!
Zoe Bell is from New Zealand! Not from bloody Australia!
If Adam hasn't seen Ip Man he has to check it out.
Best stunt movie ? Hooper ! Burt Reynolds rocks.
He was hanging of a raf transport, was shot in yorkshire UK, had to do it 40 times and yes it was real
best martial arts stunts by far is tony jaa (ong bak Franchise) no wire or cg work all real time old skool stunt and fight work..
+Leigh Wiles OH fuck yeah!
Ong Bak was probably the most enjoyable 'martial arts' genre of movies I've ever seen.
Australia
Best stunts? Jackie Chan. period.
Those don't look like peacocks from the angle they are video taping.
I am glad they say hi it's norm from tested and will from tested at the start of EVERY video. I think I would forget whair they was from else. Oh no, wait. I wouldn't because I'm on TESTEDS you tube account.
Aussie is pronounced OZ-EEEE, not OSS-EEE ;]
iI would have called them chazzwazzers.
growler = Missile Lock
Double Dragon!
Zoe Bell would punch you out for calling her an aussie!!!! NEW ZEALAND PROUD did you even see Death Proof (café scene) Adam?
Surely the peacock should be the king?
Video-bombed by No Face.
What's up. You Rule. impartial cluttered What's your opinion about this !
Peacock queen? That's just wrong, the pieces appear to be male Peacocks. Oh well, I'm terrible at chess anyhow! Lol
they are two and they are angry!
"normals" lol. The guys in my mental health support group use that term to describe the supposedly mentally health masses.
Yes we are all prisoners right..... Thanks Will
Burj Khalifa is 830 meters high. (2720 feet for Americans)
get a dog up ya
Peacock is a Queen? guess the King is a Queen too then, since peacocks are male.
Trailers are ruining movies and games. Give viewers some credit and stop barfing the whole plot at us.
a campy Stunt movie with pretty mediocre Stunts, Hooper.
First. Lol
She's a kiwi not a Aussie. She's 5'8 not 6'4. Buh Bye
