I find Hickok45 reviews to be timely, accurate ( well mostly anyway) , and fun to watch. I watch them over and over. I'm a combat shooter and my weapon of choice is Glock. I prefer the 10mm. But in warm weather it's a lot easier to carry a Glock 43. For all things there is a season. Lots of folks review firearms and firearm products. I trust Hickok45. I've found his information to be pretty darn complete. I appreciate his expertise and all the time he devotes to getting it out here. Thanks.
I have owned the Glock 43, the Ruger LC9 S Pro, and the M&P Shield...all in 9mm and all at the same time. I got to do a lot of shooting and comparing of all three. I installed a Taran Tactical +2 extension on the G43. Also + extensions on the other two. After much shooting of all three pistols, I determined that I could shoot all of them just about equally well. Maybe giving a slight accuracy advantage to the Shield. But only slightly. The "feel" advantage went to the Glock 43. Also, I had Talon grips on all three. I sold the Shield and the Ruger and my EDC is the Glock 43, because of the feel factor. It just fits my hand the best and is the most comfortable. I am comfortable with 9 rounds too. I have carried the 43 the longest of any pistol I have ever carried and I feel that it will be my last EDC pistol. All of the mods are, 3.5 Ghost trigger bar, Glock night sights on the rear and a Big Dot on the front, Talon Grips, and a Taran Tactical +2 extension. I load it with Ruger Polycase +P rounds, which are very bad (1400 fps,) non hollow point ammo. I carry it in a leather Galco holster. I feel that the 43 is the ultimate small 9mm pistol for concealed carry. Just my opinion.
You can diffently tell Hickok is a glock guy. This is the fastest chapter two for a firearm I have ever seen since subscribing to this channel almost 4 years ago.
Got into a discussion the other day with a S&W fan who swears by her shield and didn't want to hear about my new 43. I told her all the things I liked about it (43) and still nothing. Then I show her Ch 2 of Hickok on the 43...I still haven't got my 43 back, but I am growing fond of the shield. I still want my gun back! Thanks Hickok, thanks a lot! Love your video's. I'm at the point now of holding off on buying a new gun until I see your review.
I also carry the Taran +2 and lighter trigger connector. I know a point and shoot shouldn't need it, but I like the feel and typically use the gun for the range also. Great guns amazing the amount of hits on target. I did have the same problem with the trigger catching me and sanded it a touch with 600 grit its now fine. Never a failure or problem to date with this gun I shoot it frequently. I did however notice on Taran tacticals website they now offer power springs for the 2+. They also say no need to purchase the additional spring as the 2+ comes with it. I didn't get any springs when I ordered mine last year. Hickok 45, I really enjoy the high quality these videos are now in. Good stuff you do for us!
Rozmic I agree, makes no sense why this wouldnt have been standard capacity. They would have sold even more guns as it would match up better and not fall short of the S&W in any category. I dont appreciate having to buy and swap out baseplates on every mag I buy.
Thejoeb I think 6 would have been fine as long as it was small enough to justify it. Large (compared to other 6+1s) and low capacity is an odd design choice though.
Rozmic What's wrong with it being an option? It's not much, but the +1 does make the gun a little bigger, so there's a trade-off. I'd rather be able to choose from flush 6-, slightly-extended 7-, and significantly-extended 8-round magazine configurations than be stuck with the mid-sized 7-round as the minimum.
Great point on being late to the game. Glock owns the striker fire market, and they finally decided to give "their" customers what they wanted. They are not worried about the "game". I've and the Shield for some time now, and love it. I picked a 43 up yesterday and am looking forward to getting it to the range. I've put a couple hundred rounds through the range rental, so I had a little time with the 43 before finally getting one. Neat little gun! Thanks for the reviews! You're top shelf for sure, Hicock!
Thank you for the video . My wife and I are getting our conceal permits. (sign of the times) and I have been researching the Glock 42 .43 and the M&P Shield. This video really shed light to help me make which carry to buy. THANK YOU
The 43 is the smallest 9mm Glock available up to this days, in my opinion is the best Glock for EDC, pocket carry or even as a backup gun punching the 9mm ballistics and power and increasing capacity when you want the 43x is nice to but is technically the 43 with large grip and you cant make a long grip shorter, the 43 is more versatile.
Good opening demonstration about the magazine, Hickok45. The Glock43 has enough ammo for the expectations of most people. The extensions with more ammo are just a bonus. .... But, there are people that work-travel in dangerous places, that need more ammunition (such as a drum magazine). The perilous times we live in, necessitate good reliable guns. Hickok45 is right. The more innovations and guns, on the market, the better it is for all of us.
I just bought my Glock 43 from Bud's and I am am very happy with the experience. The ordering was very easy and my FFL for transfers was already on file, so I got my new gun in three days with ease.
I have a Glock 17 early gen 2 and I like the sight's just fine you seem to also . I'm pretty sure Glock knew what it was doing when they chose their sight's . So why do most people dislike them ? Thanks for sharing your experience and fun with us .
I've got the video paused right now. Haven't gotten through to the review part yet, but I just had to give you props on your Kentucky joke at 4:00 or so. Love the humor! - A TN Volunteer fan and student.
Please please do a chapter 3!! The 43 is my edc and want to know if you have any new findings! First gun I have ever purchased. My wife had a 19 from before we met and I love it so I bought the 43. I'd love an update from you guys.
I was born in Kentucky, but moved when I was a baby, and 7+1 is nine all day long! Lol. Seriously, good video as always. A week ago I was helping my 12 year old son shoot my .40, and got my hand at the first knuckle of my thumb in the way of the slide. First thing I thought of was your video with the hot dogs in it. If I had somewhere to send you the picture, I could show you what it does to you. (Or me, really. Not my best moment.) On the bright side I get the stitches out tomorrow. Thanks for all the great videos.
You know what I love about these videos? The silent camera man. I won't mention the other channel but it has to do with an Italian arms manufacturer and the smart Elly, fat mouthed camera kid is constantly interrupting the host and it drives me nuts. Not John, he's a qaulity filmer.
Some of us up North don't get that math thing either. Thanks for the update. Glad to know there were no hiccups with a new production line. Gonna price one out
Haha, 19:06, you hit the dirt and the chicken fell! I'm sure someone else has already pointed that out, but I got a laugh out of it. Long time subscriber here, I love watching your video's.
I’ve been watching hickok for a few years now, he is good, i dont buy a gun without finding out what his take is on it. keep up the channel, great shooting and education. wish i could shoot as well as he!
I have had mine a few months and 400 or so rounds. once I got used to the trigger pull ( installed a ghost trigger), it is very accurate! Fun little gun for sure.
It decreased the pull length alot and I haven't felt it to be spongy, but they could all be a little different. I may switch back to compare after shooting it 6 months. I did have to get used to the shorter, lighter pull. If you like a longer pull, I would not use the ghost trigger.
Interesting. I tried the ghost trg. several years ago and found while it did lighten the pull, it increased the length and made it spongy. Maybe they somehow eliminated that issue. But I have to wonder how.
It's always great to see you so stoked over a firearm. You like most of them well enough, but some of the 1911s, the one of a 1000 Henry rifle and the Glock 43 seem to really hit the sweet spot for you.
Hickok45: There is nothing better than while being at home and re-cooping from surgery, than is to watch a video on Glocks and watch you shoot them. Except maybe for loading my 31 plus round 9mm extended Glock magazine, and stepping outside my back door and shooting it. Oh, how blessed I am! Yes, I do remember those many many years I had to drive to a shooting range,in order to shoot. Unrestricted land in TN is so WONDERFUL!!!
Thanks for all the great videos! Here's a suggestion for something different. Perhaps you could do a "behind the scenes" video that shows how you plan, organize, setup, record, and edit (if ever) your videos. I'm curious how John manages to make such smooth and steady pans and zooms, etc., as well as whether you attempt to script any of your presentation. So perhaps you could come up with an extra camera operator to capture the two of you at work. I'm glad you seem to enjoy yourselves. That's part of the fun of watching. Thanks for sharing your target rich environment with us. I'm always watching for the next video to come out.
Just purchased the 43 recently. Have only been to range a couple of times. Love the little guy. Only problem is I think I will add new sites. The stock sites are small and I guess closer together for my eyes to see very well. Love your vids keep them up and thanks!
I wrote off the g43 because of the 6+1. After your video talking about the TTI "extension," I went out and bought a glock 43. I, like you, hate extensions, but the TTI looks near stock in flat black.
The only thing I will say against it is that you need to be very sure you securely seat your magazine. It's more prone to only "halfway" clicking into the mag well than a stock magazine, if you understand what I mean.
SpaceGhost1984 or at least have one 6 round and include a 7 or 8 round as well. Carry with the 6 round and have the 8 round as a backup. Really weird choice they made with two 6 rounders but then again they're Glock. They do whatever they want and people will buy their guns.
SpaceGhost1984 I'm sure they knew that aftermarket companies would come out with extensions almost immediately. This way, you can still have a 7-round magazine if you want, but there's also the option of a flush 6-round when concealibility is more important than capacity.
JayXX For one thing, these extensions are aftermarket parts. Glock isn't going to put them on their guns at the factory. But also, this is a carry gun that's designed for compactness. Though you may not find them talking about it on the internet much, I would bet money that a large number of the folks who buy Glock 43s - probably a majority of them - are going to be just fine with the 6-round magazine capacity. If conceal-ability wasn't the fore-most priority, they'd likely be buying a Glock 26 or 19 instead.
The Corso "Magguts" extension is available now for the Glock 43 too. It lets you keep the same stock mag baseplates but changes out the spring and follower to let you squeeze in one more round (so seven rounds in an otherwise stock mag). Some people think it's a little hinky, because the spring is a Z-shaped leaf spring as opposed to the stock coil-type spring, but I've run a few hundred rounds through one so far with no trouble, and that mag +1 in the Glock and one extra mag with a Taran tactical +2 baseplate (so 16 rounds total) is my EDC right now.
Dear Hickok, please leave your big ideas to yourself. Thanks to you, I can't sleep because I'm up late trying to figure out if my GP100 is a 5+1 or a 6+0. Help, please advise! Signed, -Clueless in Kentucky
I’m glad you get to poke fun at Kentucky. Did you ever wonder the purpose of Tennessee’s shape. You all make a fine foundation for the bluegrass Commonwealth.
I wasted time and money on the PF9. Trying to send it back for repair for the 2nd time in less than a year. The 43 is my next tool. Thanks for your videos !
Hickok, I am also a large individual, and I am looking to purchase a summertime concealed carry weapon when I return from the desert. I know I will need to hold both of these weapons in my hand before making a decision, but if you had to choose between the Ruger LC9s pro and the Glock 43, which one would you choose?
+hickok45 Thank you for taking the time to reply to my question. It looks like a great combination with the Alabama Holster front pocket carry. I think printing is less of a concern in a front pocket, because men always carry stuff in our pockets. Few people will think twice about a slight bulge in a front pocket. I really enjoy your videos and appreciate what you do sir!
Mark, check out his Glock playlist. I am pretty sure he has answered this question with the Glock 23. .40 Cal weapon in a versatile size. The Glock 27/26 are also great choices.
mdnky this is true. I actually shot the shield Better at the range due to my familiarity to the sights. I hadn't shot a glock prior to the 43 but I got use to it very quickly. the main reason I chose the 43 was because the simplicity in a carry firearm. point. shoot. it goes bang every time.
Thanks Hickok 45,just bought my 43 and I’m going to be looking for those extensions,we in kentucky know math just not as well as our fellow Tennesseans lol God Bless thanks for all your time and videos really appreciate them
Hawaiian_Hero Been buying most all my guns from Buds in the past couple of years. Just received a new Ruger SR9c. Now I just need to go shoot it. I can shoot Glocks very well, but I have grown up with guns with safeties, and just like a safety. If they would offer them just like the M&P's, that would be awesome. There are some of us who just love safeties, and do not need to hear anything negative about them. Been hearing it for years.
pickin4you been think about buying 1 gun at buds just to get my feet wet with them. I have never purchased a firearm through them and was wondering if your experiences with them have always been A+? Thanks!!!
brodee214 I have never had an issue with them, and yes every deal has always been A+++++ You can buy online or call. I prefer to call, this way they can check their system to make sure the item is in stock. They also ask that you look the gun over before your FFL does the transfer, and if there is anything wrong, call them and they will take care of it. Again, I have never had a problem, but I always call them to order. Their prices are hard to beat and with free shipping, its a no brainer. Just over 2 years ordering from them, and not a single issue. Good luck.
pickin4you. I have ordered magazines and ammo, have always had wonderful a experience. Will be purchasing my next firearm @ buds. Thank you for ur time... As always, thank you... Hickok45!!!! You rock
hickok45, ive been planning on buying a glock 23 once i get home from my rotation out here in kuwait, but i lately started reading about how .40 caliber glocks are prone to "kabooms", supposedly, even with factory loads, although its rare. itd be nice to know your thoughts on that, having been so extensively experienced with glocks. I enjoy your channel, been following since 2012!
Romro Mostly hype from Glock haters. I don't know of one ever happening with anybody I know or anybody who even knows anybody who's had this happen. Anything is possible, though, I guess. The G19 will serve you just as well if this preys on your mind, though.
+hickok45 I've considered the glock 19, but I think I'll go ahead with the 23. I read about those companies who make 40-9 conversion barrels so you can shoot 9mm if you choose. I figured that kabooms might have just been an over-hyped legend. Thank you for your input :)
why do people worry about this printing thing ?? the way I look at I guess is if your ALLOWED to carry it and just hide it why worry about printing??RIGHT??
Roberto Wootton Just unnecessary attention. People don't like guns, just respect their opinion. Carry on but no point in people needing to know. It printing I suppose isn't too bad, Open carry is the unnecessary attention.
In my state it is easy to get a BOP charge because of someone spotting what they "believe" is a gun. Honestly, ya gotta be stealthy to keep clear of incindents.
I like a gun or two from all brands worth owning. I just for my first glock which is the 43 and it’s a great pistol. I have small hands so the 43 is for me perfect I’m hand and shoots great. I didn’t like the price but it was still worth it. For anyone wondering if a Glock 43 is worth getting the answer is yes.
This gun competes with my hellcat in my EDC rotation! That's a testament to it's longevity and build quality. Reliable AF, with a Magguts +2 it's just enough gun for sure!
For me "late to the game" means that I've already purchased a 9mm Shield. I have to make my purchases carefully and cannot afford to buy the latest thing on the market. I've made my choice and spent my money and there is no more to spend. Sorry Glock. If you had been around when Ruger was adding striker fire triggers and Sheild was eliminating external safety's you definitely would have made my short list of possibles but... you were late to the game.
Homebrew58 In that sense, you are correct, at least for you. Same thing for Ruger and the 1911s they finally came out with, or the Sig P320 line-up and the HK VP9. All were late to the game for anybody who had already purchased a striker fired pistol or a 1911. You are correct.
hickok45 I agree with your opinion, because Glock does not introduce on demand, they introduce when a pistol is a proven tool for production to the general public, law enforcement, and military. Not saying things need to be modified and improved on after introduction, which has surfaced numerous times, as seen in the Glock 42 just recently. When Glock introduced the Glock 17 was this a rush to production? No, indirectly, but because the Austrian Army requesting a new service pistol in a certain time frame, Glock did introduce something that was never seen before in the world of handguns. Now, saying this, why must Glock constantly be ridiculed that they were late to market with the anticipated 9mm single stack Glock 43? This was their time to introduce it, and not any other time. The American demand and the other true fans of Glock wanted this to be introduced earlier, but they are not the ones making and producing it, it is Glock, the "True and Mighty", remember that, otherwise you would not be depending on it to protect you and your family, like millions of others do. Correct? When I was in business many years ago, I used to tell my prospective customers to see all other sales persons first, and then I'll see you last. This way the customers learned and were educated on the item I was hoping to sell, and had in their minds what they sort of wanted. All I had to do was see what was offered, show how I improved on it and most of all sell it for less, or at least at a comparable price. Most of all I sold my self, and we all agree that Glock has sold themselves to each and every one of us, many times over, especially when buying additional Glocks to add to our collection...Mark my words: Homebrew58 will purchase a Glock 43 in the near future, sooner than later, or when they're more readily available. Because of the high demand for ownership of the most reliable, simple to use and service, and most of all trustworthy pistol manufactured to date, I don't own a Glock 43 as of yet. But, I took a number from the automatic dispensing machine at the Deli/ Bakery Department at my local gun store, and when my number is called, after waiting in line, I will most happily step forward and purchase one for me as well as my wife, along with a side of potato salad...
Ive watched alot of review channels and all have their twist. But watching your is not only entertaining but very informative. Thanks to you Ive invested in many of your reviewed products. Subscribed.
***** 2nd Gen glock 22 owner myself since first out. Good, reliable, fairly accurate, but ya FNS series I like more, and I like my ruger SR-40c even more.
Just got a 43, can'y wait to try it out. I also ordered to the pierce grip 1 round extensions. I did a little research and found four manufactures of mag extensions for the G43. read a little in the forums and all seem to work pretty well. I imagine Glock will come out with some extended factory mag's. Can you imagine a 30 rd, clip LOL. Really think one rd. ext, makes almost no difference in concealing the pistol and i like the pink'y rest. Since you and John are both getting one they must be OK.
Taran Tactical has an upgraded spring that they now sell. They can send out a stiffer spring for the +1 and +2 mags. I don't think it's necessary in the plus1 because it's very stiff, but I love it in the +2. Call them, they have great customer service.
I think the same thing glad to see I'm not the only one. But I didn't abandon Kahr completely I still have my Kahr P380 unless Glock starts making a .380 that small. Thanks for the videos on the 43 it help me decide.
Thanks for another great video. Purchased a Sig P938, beautiful weapon, but haven't fired it yet. If I had waited a little longer would have gone with the Glock, I'm a big believer in them. Love them for their simplicity and reliability. Guess I will put this sig through it's paces, if it hiccups on me, I will unload it and pick up the Glock. Enjoy all of your videos, thanks for keeping it real!
I went into gun shop yesterday to buy either the lc9s or the shield and came out with the 43. Surprised me. Fits my hand well, when I pulled it up it was right there, picked sights up right away. Just felt like someone had made this gun for me.
Thanks for all the reviews you do when I am looking at buying a certain weapon I look you up and watch a review first to see if its what I want. I now own the Glock 42 & 43 I love them both, I'm a small frame guy so I now use the 42 as my summer carry and the 43 will be my cooler weather carry. I will admit I was a glock hater till I bought my 42 now I am a glock lover. Thank you once again.
I was born in Kentucky and I haven't been back for over 20 years, but I'm pretty sure I saw some light bulbs💡dimly lighting up all over Tennessee a few seconds after Hickok finished his +1 explanation...
Five years later the G43 is still my EDC.
YESSSSS!
same here!
My son in law is from Kentucky. He found the graphic representation of magazine capacity very interesting. He may have even understood it. Thanks.
+Crash Johnson My son has lived in Kentucky long enough that I did have to explain what the pointy things were (bullets)! Blame his mother.

I also from Kentucky needed this info and cherish it!

"I know we've got people in Kentucky watching." Throwing that shade 🤣🤣
Great quotes of 2016. "Even when I try, I have trouble limp wristing." Hickock 45

Kentucky here. Thanks for explaining. I was completely lost!
I'm digging the higher quality 1080p60 vid. Great stuff as always, guys. Thank you.

Great review! I waited many years for Glock to come out with a Single Stack 9mm and it was well worth the wait! It's the best EDC I ever owned!

THIS IS WHAT YOU GET WHEN YOU STORE YOUR FULL SIZED GLOCKS IN THE SAME SAFE! A TABLE FULL OF BABY GLOCKS.
😂😂😂

The G43 is definitely a winner, love the 8+1 mag for sure, seems very reliable, conceilable and goes bang every time :-)
Just wanted to say that I appreciate the 60 FPS 1080p! Awesome quality, thanks!
That +1 extension makes all the difference, so much so I've no idea why Glock didn't make it standard.
Rozmic Great point. It didn't take much to get another round.
Rozmic I agree, makes no sense why this wouldnt have been standard capacity. They would have sold even more guns as it would match up better and not fall short of the S&W in any category. I dont appreciate having to buy and swap out baseplates on every mag I buy.

I think 6 would have been fine as long as it was small enough to justify it.
Rozmic Good question.
I love my G43. Accurate, reliable, and super duper solid platform for the size.
Thank you for the video . My wife and I are getting our conceal permits. (sign of the times) and I have been researching the Glock 42 .43 and the M&P Shield. This video really shed light to help me make which carry to buy. THANK YOU
Hahaha Love the KY visual reference to magazine +1 in chamber! Made my day!
Wow, I just noticed that I am now seeing Hickok45 in full 60 FPS glory!
1080 60 FPS makes this so good :) good video as always hickok
I just bought my Glock 43 from Bud's and I am am very happy with the experience. The ordering was very easy and my FFL for transfers was already on file, so I got my new gun in three days with ease.
I have a Glock 17 early gen 2 and I like the sight's just fine you seem to also . I'm pretty sure Glock knew what it was doing when they chose their sight's . So why do most people dislike them ? Thanks for sharing your experience and fun with us .
Russell Ferreira - probably has to do with people who watch more TH-cam videos than rounds fired through their guns
No it’s the fact other companies supply a better sight than a $5 pair for stock glock sights
You still like the 43? I have a 43x...wanting something just a tad smaller for summer CCW.
@@whiteyfisk9769 I love my 43. I don’t have a need for the 43X. Since then, I have purchased a 26 Gen 5 and a 42. The 42 is my favorite
VICSKIM949 and
Some of us up North don't get that math thing either. Thanks for the update. Glad to know there were no hiccups with a new production line. Gonna price one out
I love my 43
Even sold my shield to buy the 43. Profile on the 43 is awesome
Hurry up and sell your shield now while it's still worth something!!
Daniel Soto Too late, it is a buyer's market on the M&P line. I did sell my Shield before the drop and bought a new one plus ammo with the proceeds. 🙄
Daniel Soto why they only have 6+1 it don’t make a bit sense it should be 8+1💯
Daniel Soto n
The special section dedicated to those from Kentucky is hilarious and spot on true. Funny stuff.
I was against glocks for a long time but since ive been watching you, youve changed my thoughts on glocks. im buying one monday. a 19
Haha, 19:06, you hit the dirt and the chicken fell! I'm sure someone else has already pointed that out, but I got a laugh out of it. Long time subscriber here, I love watching your video's.
The +2 and +3 comes with a 10% spring now.
I’ve been watching hickok for a few years now, he is good, i dont buy a gun without finding out what his take is on it. keep up the channel, great shooting and education. wish i could shoot as well as he!
Great update, hickok!! Thank you for so many great videos!! :thumbs up:
I just picked up a 43 yesterday. Can't wait to shoot it.
I have had mine a few months and 400 or so rounds. once I got used to the trigger pull ( installed a ghost trigger), it is very accurate! Fun little gun for sure.
+Jonathan Mcmuffin. did you find the aftermarket trigger increased the pull length, or made it spongy ?
It decreased the pull length alot and I haven't felt it to be spongy, but they could all be a little different. I may switch back to compare after shooting it 6 months. I did have to get used to the shorter, lighter pull. If you like a longer pull, I would not use the ghost trigger.
Interesting. I tried the ghost trg. several years ago and found while it did lighten the pull, it increased the length and made it spongy. Maybe they somehow eliminated that issue. But I have to wonder how.
thant is strange. What gun was that on?
I also noticed the 60 FPS upgrade - looks nice. Love the channel guys, well done.
Hey, take it easy on Kentucky. That's where I met my wife, and then found out later she was my cousin. Been married 7 months now.
It's always great to see you so stoked over a firearm. You like most of them well enough, but some of the 1911s, the one of a 1000 Henry rifle and the Glock 43 seem to really hit the sweet spot for you.
Hep me, bedroom gun, eh? Now I need a kitchen gun, garage gun, front door gun, etc. Hear that, Ethyl? I ain't got nary near enough guns!
I second that. Great content, great chemistry between the two of you. A behind the scenes would be a treat for us fans.
Just purchased the 43 recently. Have only been to range a couple of times. Love the little guy. Only problem is I think I will add new sites. The stock sites are small and I guess closer together for my eyes to see very well. Love your vids keep them up and thanks!
I'm not convinced, Yet. So there needs to be chapter 3,4,and maybe 5.
Thank You for comparing it with the pm9. Not to many people are doing that.
Great vids Hickok very knowledgable and i appreciate the time taken to make these in depth reviews.
I wrote off the g43 because of the 6+1. After your video talking about the TTI "extension," I went out and bought a glock 43. I, like you, hate extensions, but the TTI looks near stock in flat black.
Cade Johnson , how's it going I'm on the same boat? Any issues w the TTI extensions yet? Just wondering as I'm looking at going w the same combo.
The only thing I will say against it is that you need to be very sure you securely seat your magazine. It's more prone to only "halfway" clicking into the mag well than a stock magazine, if you understand what I mean.
I just purchased a 43 from Buds. Thanks for the review and thanks to Buds for a smooth transaction.
"......for Kentucky" lolololololol
Just bought my first Glock yesterday. Ironically a Glock 43. Love the channel!
Kinda makes you wonder why Glock didn't make it a 7 round magazine in the first place.
SpaceGhost1984 or at least have one 6 round and include a 7 or 8 round as well. Carry with the 6 round and have the 8 round as a backup. Really weird choice they made with two 6 rounders but then again they're Glock. They do whatever they want and people will buy their guns.
You think aftermarket companies have a say? I wouldn't be surprised
SpaceGhost1984 I'm sure they knew that aftermarket companies would come out with extensions almost immediately. This way, you can still have a 7-round magazine if you want, but there's also the option of a flush 6-round when concealibility is more important than capacity.
***** But then why still sell it with two 6 rounders instead of one 6 and one 8?
Signed,
-Clueless in Kentucky
Marc Cervantes Just try to think of it as 11 - 5. :-)
I’m glad you get to poke fun at Kentucky. Did you ever wonder the purpose of Tennessee’s shape. You all make a fine foundation for the bluegrass Commonwealth.
Hickok! Come down to the Utah gunshow!
+Casey Anderson I like both, but I'm a bit more fond of the G43.
+hickok45 Quick question, probably been answered before but... If had to choose one Glock, what would it be?
Mark, check out his Glock playlist. I am pretty sure he has answered this question with the Glock 23. .40 Cal weapon in a versatile size. The Glock 27/26 are also great choices.
+Casey Anderson Thanks brotha!
Great filming John, if that's you.. Love the hi-def too! Great review as always guys!
makee a shield 9 vs glock 43 video hickock, i think youll make one of the best, im stuck between buying one of them
I'm in the same position. I plan on hitting the range this weekend to demo both.
+Umar Ansah Shoot both and buy the one you're most comfortable with / shoot the best. They're both great guns.
mdnky this is true. I actually shot the shield Better at the range due to my familiarity to the sights. I hadn't shot a glock prior to the 43 but I got use to it very quickly. the main reason I chose the 43 was because the simplicity in a carry firearm. point. shoot. it goes bang every time.
Thanks Hickok 45,just bought my 43 and I’m going to be looking for those extensions,we in kentucky know math just not as well as our fellow Tennesseans lol God Bless thanks for all your time and videos really appreciate them
Hickok we here in Kentucky know what 6+1 means , well most of us at least lol
You must not have met my relatives up there yet! :-)
hickok45 lol
Agreed!
The 60fps makes it seem like we're right there at the shooting table! Very cool.
Im buying a sig320 carry from buds gun shop. Just wanted to let the sponsor know their marketing works
Yep, got my 226 from there winter of 2013. Awesome guys (and lady) too.
Thanks!!!
brodee214
I have never had an issue with them, and yes every deal has always been A+++++ You can buy online or call.
You rock
New to shooting...love your show...love how you emphasize safety.
Mike..Ft. Lauderdale, FL
hickok45, ive been planning on buying a glock 23 once i get home from my rotation out here in kuwait, but i lately started reading about how .40 caliber glocks are prone to "kabooms", supposedly, even with factory loads, although its rare. itd be nice to know your thoughts on that, having been so extensively experienced with glocks.
+hickok45 We really want to see the new Glock 40 10mm in action!! Thanks
+hickok45 Quick question, if you had to choose one Glock, what would it be?
All I shoot is .40 caliber Glocks and have never had a problem
Love the videos, this is one of the first I've seen at 60FPS. It's a nice upgrade to quality. Thanks guys.
why do people worry about this printing thing ?? the way I look at I guess is if your ALLOWED to carry it and just hide it why worry about printing??RIGHT??
Yep, nothing illegal about "printing" in Tennessee; you can carry "Open" if you want.
Roberto Wootton Just unnecessary attention. People don't like guns, just respect their opinion. Carry on but no point in people needing to know. It printing I suppose isn't too bad,
Open carry is the unnecessary attention.
In my state it is easy to get a BOP charge because of someone spotting what they "believe" is a gun. Honestly, ya gotta be stealthy to keep clear of incindents.
Some people like me live in NY :(
Illegal to print in Texas.
Next gun glock 43!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Thank you Hickok for bringing to my attention of the extended ammo base plates. i have been waiting for something like these to come out.
I feel bad for the guy that breaks into your house....
they be pretty dumb. Especially if they don't realize the outdoor range right outside the house.
Ive watched alot of review channels and all have their twist. But watching your is not only entertaining but very informative. Thanks to you Ive invested in many of your reviewed products. Subscribed.
Most guns are reliable now days not just glocks
Rico B cool story
As always , Thank you for the video. And thank John as well. I too use a .380 for pocket carry and have purchased a 43 for IWB. Thanks again.
I want a glock so bad...
jsdima9113 that is literally the first time i have ever heard that
jsdima9113 How bad...?
***** well I personally love glocks and have had no problems with one, but your comment was just too good haha. Nice one
***** 2nd Gen glock 22 owner myself since first out. Good, reliable, fairly accurate, but ya FNS series I like more, and I like my ruger SR-40c even more.
***** only one way to find out right
Thanks to Greg and John for all the great and informative videos. Even though I'm in the UK.... Thanks for all your time.
80+ yards to the gong with a G43. You are an animal Mr Hikok.
Taran Tactical has an upgraded spring that they now sell. They can send out a stiffer spring for the +1 and +2 mags. I don't think it's necessary in the plus1 because it's very stiff, but I love it in the +2. Call them, they have great customer service.
It's nice to know that you bring up Kentucky so much. Yes I am from Kentucky.
I think the same thing glad to see I'm not the only one. But I didn't abandon Kahr completely I still have my Kahr P380 unless Glock starts making a .380 that small. Thanks for the videos on the 43 it help me decide.
Glad you shared the math about extensions, I live in Kentucky. But honestly I think I had the math figured out. Good video as always !!
I love that the 27 hold 3 more rounds and has more power thanks Hickok keep up the good work love your vids!
+Mark Gomez
My Desert Eagle holds fewer rounds and has more power. Just in case I run out of .44 mag, it also makes a good hammer. :-)
Went from EDC G17 Gen 5 to G43 Gen4, absolutely a game changer, next in line is the G19 & p365
"'Cause I know we got some people in Kentucky watchin'" Dead lol
Thanks for the math class! You crack me up. Your videos keep me watching you..Well done!
Love my Glock 43 and the Magguts +1 springs work very well
Thanks for all the reviews you do when I am looking at buying a certain weapon I look you up and watch a review first to see if its what I want. I now own the Glock 42 & 43 I love them both, I'm a small frame guy so I now use the 42 as my summer carry and the 43 will be my cooler weather carry. I will admit I was a glock hater till I bought my 42 now I am a glock lover. Thank you once again.
G43 has been riding in the small of my back for 6 years now, and have no plans to change.
I was born in Kentucky and I haven't been back for over 20 years, but I'm pretty sure I saw some light bulbs💡dimly lighting up all over Tennessee a few seconds after Hickok finished his +1 explanation...
This guy is an incredible shot!
This guy is the Bob Ross of firearms.
