This lad dug up 60 thousand dollars this day. Even if he does decide to pursue another avenue in life I'm sure he'll always remember this day and the ecstatic joy amd pride he brought to Eath and his dad. I'm jelly : O
@@darex0827 Yeah well I guarantee you it's gonna take atleast year's worth of Ebay tax, Etsy Tax and website upkeep in order to sell that way. Taking it to shows, building more inventory to display. Selling specimens like that isn't as cut and dried as people would like to believe. I mean, it is Gold, and everyone does want it, but Melt value is a very fair evaluation for the price of an item whose value comes from the fact that it's used in electronics. You don't see chicken costing $1,800 an oz and if it did everyone would eat cow. It makes a lot of sense to sell to someone locally, especially in Australia. I always see people commenting this same sentiment and honestly I think it's a little naïve.
Hey man, it’s me! Cayden! It sure was an incredible day. I will remember it forever. And just to let you know, I will 100% be continuing in mining with dad for many years to come
I think after that weigh-in, I would be back in that same spot and sweeping the area for the sisters, brothers, aunts, uncles and the mother and father of that nugget. Way to go guys, and it ain't over yet is it?
Well done! He is a good kid and I believe that he has a very bright future in the gold mining world, he's dealt with the heat and stayed dedicated to his job and the best lesson he's leaning is that persistence pays off.
So happy for the guys . I was hoping the would me target . They have work hard. But Son need to say in school so that he is equipped to take on the business and take to to another level
Awesome been needing this clip, I saw him find the gold but missed the end of the show & never saw how big it was, its been bugging me all week & this post just brought that much needed closure lol..
These nuggets are truly impressive the friend of mine made the cover of gold prospectors magazine he found the largest nugget in North America that year for metal detector at 2 oz
All the fun aside!! Can you imagine the spud size nuggets that the old timers found in that entire ridge.. Jesus!!! Some of them needed a wheelbarrow to carry all their nuggets out each day. That's absolutely crazy!! I got gold fever just watching this damn thing . Also the big ones pops found his first day out. Good job gang!! ☘️👏👏👏💪💪
I work like a donkey 41 hours a week and make 800 euros a month and this kid just earned over 60k dollars in a day. Life’s funny. I’m happy for them in all honesty
OK - You guys need a plastic trailer that houses 4 or more detectors and a way to determine what detector has indicated on target. You then walk the trailer up and down, vastly DECREASING your detecting time. The height that the detectors are off the ground will set the minimum nugget/target size. You could also have a paint/chalk spray showing where the target is. You scan + mark, then dig up... Work with local College IT to perhaps combine detector inputs onto tablet screen...
I've been thinking that for a while now it shouldn't be too hard Coils are easy enough to make if you know what you are doing and some raspberry pies or an Arduino or two I reckon about 10 grand should do it. I wish I could get into the country I would turn up on their door and figure it out.
@@thedave7760 I think the ideal setup would be a cart/trailer that is as wide as your loader bucket, that detects and marks each hit. You then go back and dig up those f'n mallet heads. If you made your own coil, perhaps you could use the new Raspberry Pi 2 Zero combined with the RP Picco. I can't get over the Aussie prices. Good Luck...
That nugget is worth over 3-4 times it's weight in gold. It is extremely rare to find one that size and really if they melt it down it would be a shame. I am going to go out on a limb here but the first large item was covered in soil to the extent you could not see what it was. Then the kid pulled out a huge nugget with zero soil stuck to it???? Staged maybe??? Also the kid found a nugget bigger than his thumb that did not fit in the bottle and the dad was like, "ya, keep looking" Who would do that if I found a nugget that large (the first one) I would not just scoff at it like that.
I ran into a couple TH-cam videos that show Parker in Australia. Since the mining seasons are at opposite times down under vs Yukon, it would allow him to mine almost year around
Congratulations job well done. My mining season is already done and over since someone decided to steel my minelab gold master 1000 with no way to replace it.
thats how ya get good ol fashioned gold feva, way to go kiddo, way to go, for a first nugget find thats awsome, gold, gold, scream for me, and i will dig you out excitedly...
I call bullshit on that. Some production trickery. No way he found that there and they edit it right at the opportune moment. It looks like they're trying to get more viewers sucked in with that bullshit.
Pick up the swing speed?? They already must miss all the 3gm and down and such poor ground coverage must miss the odd 10gm bit too. I suppose it's big gold country. Shooting fish in a barrel. Should be using DD coils if they want to cover the ground quickly as they don't need the depth of a mono coil that needs 40% overlap.
YES GOD BLESS YOU MATES AND KING JESUS CHRIST OF NAZARETH HOLY NAME GOOD JOB FUN TO WATCH BE FUN TO SEE HER EXPRESSION WHEN YOU GET TO HEAVEN SEE THE STREETS OF GOLD YES AND AMEN.
Treat yourself to a sun hat with those nugget bucks…shocked that these Aussies have yet to learn the value of a hat in that heat…tinfoil suit and a face slathered in baby oil, anyone?

As a specimen, its worth more than its melt value. Probably looking closer to 85-90K as it presents very well.
@@darex0827 Yeah well when you're a miner diesel is worth more today than an extra 5k is tomorrow. Plus I was using USD.
@@AlexDuWaldt so was I. 33 oz @ 1800 / oz, about 1.5 x melt for specimen. 80-90K.

Congrats boys have a happy holiday 👍.
Brent it is so good to see you son make you so proud he is a good young man he is a lot like my son Luke
How much fine gold is being ignored? Get a wash plant in there for the overburdened.
They're only showing the wow moments, these guys are there scouring every bit of dirt.
Nice works lads, maybe give the kid a nice hat, not a cap if you’re so worried about the heat, even some sunglasses. Sun safe guys and eye safety.
Enjoyed your video and I gave it a Thumbs Up for support

All the nugs were cleaned prior to the weigh in.
I thought that too it came out of the dirt ,dirt free ,but then again it is entertainment TV
Its fake as hell he shouts Ethan when Ethan is stood an inch away from him. They find the gold yes but then script the reactions for the TV show
Maybe its staged? Hahahahahahaaaaa
I was thinkin these are all staged. All the clips I’ve seen have been similar
Made me smile that
Love the gold, but the comical over hyping of the metal detecting is ridiculous 🤦♂️😂
It’s crazy how far of nuggets the Australians find.
That is a gorgeous piece of gold.
The happiness man xd
FANTASTIC NEWS !
What a Beautiful Blessing for u all 👍 . Bless use n ur Family's n Friends .... 😇
Well done boy. )))) fathers son hooked. Be care my boy and learn. Congratulations to you boys. Hope pop ok. Happy new years. Mick nsw
Anyone know the EXACT location of this gold field??????????? 🤔
It's across the road from our house. They say in the description the name of the field and it's clearly marked on the goldfield maps.
Another parker in the making. Start them off young and early in life. Kudos to his dad.
I ran into a couple TH-cam videos that show Parker in Australia. Since the mining seasons are at opposite times down under vs Yukon, it would allow him to mine almost year around
Get the kid a hat!!!
yes please 😀
Think he needs to get a shaft put on that first lump of iron he found as a memento
Collectors piece. Beautiful nuggets.
Congratulations job well done. My mining season is already done and over since someone decided to steel my minelab gold master 1000 with no way to replace it.
God bless them boys
That shit brought me to tears
It can't be that stressful if they're allowing you to film everything and stopping every time they find a nugget to talk about it lol
Doing it tough if ya ain’t got a hat lol 😂 what a croc
thats how ya get good ol fashioned gold feva, way to go kiddo, way to go, for a first nugget find thats awsome,

Big bloody ripper!
Best crew
good team work!
Wow nice find huge one!
Well it will be hard to keep the kid in school now. lol.
Omg walking around in the heat so tough
Wow ... hes found gold ... AGAIN ... and in the same place he found it last time you posted this video ... and the time before that as well.
How long is their season and why is there a season
Love this!!
Hello friend Thanks for sharing video👍
Good on em!!
SHINY ROCKS!!!
There's still a lot of gold out there.
Way to go Caden
Beets and Parker moved tons of dirt a day to find the equivalent ounce of what that bit found
16 is legal in Australia.
I call bullshit on that. Some production trickery. No way he found that there and they edit it right at the opportune moment. It looks like they're trying to get more viewers sucked in with that bullshit.
Excellent!
Not only is it big, it's a beautiful nugget. A museum piece.
How much are those metal detectors?
You done it my boy! Good boy! Now here’s 200 bucks for your weeks work
So is it all course gold? No dust? Or can this ground still hold washable values?
And what you got in the field to clean it that good?
If your too survive the long hot days you need to get that sun off your brain and boiling it by wearing a wide brim hat
In that heat, where's his hat? ...
