The only way it would be that easy is if they had access to untouched private land, which historically had good size gold, i would say what they are doing here is pre-planting the gold a few days or weeks beforehand, it was this easy 30-40 years ago when detectors first arrived, on hammered ground now, it's a rare show to find anything bigger than 5 grams.

New detectors would get gold that is further down but I call BS on even basic detectors not being able to pick up this gold this shallow. Rubbish show, with seeded nuggets for the crappy script.
