Simple everyday life: Daily vlog - I got retrenched, Taobao haul, Kimchi fried rice, cabbage pancake

This week vlog's starts on a gloomy note because I had just received news that my job is made redundant. Our whole team was made redundant and our positions shifted to other countries. The only good thing is we could stay on until end of March 2023 while they made the changes. But still it's horrible to lose my job twice a year! The thought of having to look for jobs and attend interviews again is just so tiring. But whatever the case, it is what it is and I've to start again.
Started off by doing some Taobao unpacking:

Made Kimchi fried rice for my colleagues who came over to my place so we could work together. We also went for dinner afterwork. It was a good time of get together despite bad happenings. Went over to Tiger's house on Saturday and Tiger's mom made a lamb salad for us. I brought seasoned tofu pouches to stuff with rice. It was nice to hang out again. Went to church service on Sunday morning and chilled at home after that.
I stayed over at my own place on Monday. Made a fried kway teow for lunch and match oat latte.

Dear, eueu, I'm sorry to hear about the job layoff. As a grandma, may I give you two pieces of advice? As you pray and seek God, #1. Save every extra penny now for upcoming household expenses. That will buy you a little cushion of time. #2. Do not wait...start looking for another job now, right away. It seems easier to find jobs while you are still working. You did not fail. Hey eueu, I'm so sorry to hear about your retrenchment! It must be difficult as hell especially at the end of the year when things are supposed to be festive. Please take the time to process your feelings and please know that everything you're feeling is valid. But also please know that retrenchments are awful and they can happen to anyone, they're not a reflection of you or your worth. Doors will open for you! Praying for you in the meantime.

I funnily enough have just started to re evaluate my life. I have always worked hard and been taken for granted. I had a near death experience just under two years ago and promised myself to look after my own health and family, I now have been doing charity work and find myself played for a fool and being taken for granted again, there is a lot of take and not even a thank you. I feel I need to cut myself off from people as this society is all about take and no give, sorry but that’s how I feel, god or no god 😢

Cash is the safest. Sometimes they accept NETS or Grabpay. But it differs from place to place.

Most restaurants would accept what we called Paywave (which is tap and pay) but if you are going to small stores in foodcourt or hawker centre, cash is the best.
